One day glass or Peninsula glass should change their name to "Three Week glass." I ordered a simple small window November 24 and received a message that they would not be shipping the window until the 12 of December due to "material shortages." Everyone has issues it seems these days but a good customer focused company makes up for their problems. Peninsula glass however decided and shipped the window out FedEx ground which the took a week extra to arrive. Had they shipped it express or next day to make up for their issues I would have been happy. I wrote to them and explained i was unhappy about the situation and got a message telling me they did nothing wrong. 3 weeks for a 26 x 33" window to be cut and delivered from a company called "One day Glass" is a misleading as it gets. if you need you window replaced quickly, do not choose this company. read more

The company name is "One Day Glass." However, that is anything but true. I placed my order on Monday, was told the order would be ready by Wednesday-Friday and come COB Friday, no order. I checked status late Friday afternoon and was told it was still in production. I ordered a 22" X 22" piece of tempered glass - easy peasy stuff. Checking status today, I see the order is complete but I can't get it till next Monday, a full week after placing the order. I reached out to the Director of Sales, Jeff, to get a quote to frame a window for a teardrop trailer. I received a short reply with no explanation for turning away business. Quoted email (image was included as an attachment): "Hi Jeff, I would like to get a rough quote estimate to frame (including the trim ring, screws, etc.) a piece of glass. The glass will be on a custom teardrop trailer. Window dimensions: roughly 16 in x 36 in (4 in radius corners), about 0.40 in. thick [note it is not a flat piece of glass, but rather a rear window to an old VW beetle] Wall: approximately 1 in. thick but that can be modified if necessary to fit your production limitations Frame: black anodized Please let me know if you have any other questions to help clarify. Don't dare buy one piece of glass from this company. $30.00 for a 3 x 13 shelf and they sent it chipped and edges rough and uneven. They stated that happens during certain types of cuts. Excuse me. Should be zero stars. This company is disgraceful. Their customer service (it doesn't even warrant that term) is a joke. Apathetic employees, no sense of delivering customer satisfaction or quality work. Stay far, far away from this place if you want quality windows or glass work. For context: On a recent order I was sent a defective piece of glass for a window insert. The piece came several days late of the due date (after I had paid over $100 for expedited shipping...their reps could've cared less about that) causing me to spend more money with my construction crew. When notified of this, their response was "uh, I guess maybe the piece didn't pass inspection, so we had to make a new one, and maybe thats why it's late, I'm not really sure". No correspondence prior to me calling them to inform me of a delay. No apology. Nada. Once I received the piece...guess what, it's defective! Wavy lines everywhere, blurry on the ends, warped images (this is supposed to be a clear piece of glass). God only knows what the previous piece looked like that 'didn't pass inspection'. Called them again after receiving the defective piece and was told to send it back ON MY DIME so that they could inspect it and determine if it was, in fact, defective. Once a determination was made, a new one could be sent to me (sans shipping costs) in a week or two. Unacceptable. I had a crew ready to install this glass that couldn't wrap up their project until it was in. This would costs me hundreds, if not thousands to wait around for a week or two. One Day Glass didn't care and said, 'that's the way it is". I took up the charge with my CC company and disputed it. ODG lied and told the CC company that we had never spoken and that there was no record of any problem with the glass. Real nice behavior. This company is lazy, arrogant, untrustworthy and condescending and, aside from all that, does pretty lousy work. if you have another choice for your glass needs, I hope that you send your business elsewhere. When my glass arrived, the packaging was slightly dented, and upon opening, it was damaged in one corner. No problem! I called and talked to Tim Williams (a wonderful associate) who told me I just needed to send in some photos of the damage via email. Not even 24 hours later, I got confirmation from Tim that my pictures were received and that they would send out a new piece of glass by the end of the week.
