I had my first eyelash appt at Peniel with Anna and it was such a great experience! She was extremely attentive to detail and listened to what I wanted with great care. When we were doing my lashes, I could also tell she was being very careful and making sure to really show each lash off. Usually my eyes sting a lot after getting my lashes done but I didn't feel it that much today. I think I'll definitely be coming back !!! First time doing lash extension! My lash technician was Kayla. She said she was still learning, but I was satisfied with the quality of her work and the delicacy. The room had 4ish beds and they play relaxing music so it was pretty easy to relax. It took a little less than 2 hours for her to complete the extensions. I came in for my monthly touch up and ended up paying for a fresh new set - however i think they forgot how I normally get them done and when I had asked Kate if I could come in to get them fixed, she tried to set up the soonest available appointment and said since they were done incorrectly, they would be fixed (complimentary!) I didn't have time to come in before my trip, so I was being charged the regular fee to fix them. The morning I had my appointment, I had called at least 2 hours ahead of time to apologize & let them know I may not be able to make it that day since I would be stuck at a doctor appointment longer than expected and I assumed they'd understand I should definitely prioritized my physical health and would allow me to reschedule when I could, pay the deposit to hold the appointment, pay again to correct the new full set of eyelashes that were applied incorrectly & even tip these ladies as I always do. Instead, I was told that since I missed my appointment, I should find a new eyelash place elsewhere. I couldn't believe that after coming to them for several months now, I received that response from them. The two ladies who worked on me do a lovely job at a great price, but I'm very surprised of the treatment of a loyal customer by staff. I suggest avoiding the hybrid or full lashes here. While customer service is good and they are pretty fast with the application process, I was really disappointed with how many of my real lashes I lost. The hybrid/volume lashes they use have a really thick base and attach to 2+ lashes at a time. I went to them three times and have lost so many natural eyelashes due to them sticking to the false ones. I've been to higher quality places where the false ones fall off naturally without taking mine with them, and will happily pay more elsewhere moving forward. I also don't like that the removal process of them peeling each lash off my own, further damaging MY lashes. In higher quality studios they use a solution which absorbs and allows them to almost wipe the false lashes away. I unfortunately won't be using or recommending them ever again read more

For example, after having my new mink eyelash, and then very next morning, when I wake up, especially my left eyelash comes off at least 3-4 lashes. The first experience I had ever had with eyelash extensions was with Peniel Lashes, and boy did I luck out! Kate and the team is absolutely wonderful and professional and I love how easy it is to text and schedule an appointment. Every time I'm there I'm met with a clean and comfortable environment - there's gentle piano music playing in the background, comfy blankets - and to be honest there's been a few appointments where I've found myself falling asleep! People always say how long my lashes are, but over the years with wearing fake lashes out I think they have lost some of their fullness. I knew most places offer some sort of first time deal and I was correct. I called and Sean picked up. He said even if I did not purchase the groupon, he would still grant me the 50% off. I ended up having to change it because I forgot I had a meeting and Sean was super responsive by text and changed it right away. Since it was my first time, he recommended I come in at 5pm so we could go over options. I found the place right away and parking was easy in their lot. I walked in and Sean was so friendly and we went over options. I showed him a few photos and he looked at my natural lashes. He took me back to meet Jane and she started working right away. Experienced eye INFECTION day of refill; I was charged $100 for refill which in my opinion It was over priced bcuz they advertise $60 refill. The same day by nightfall I had a full on eye infection. I reported and sent pictures to technician. she asked that i come in; because my eyes were so sensitive I couldn't drive. I had to see a medical professional for treatment; 5 days later after treatment I thought I'd visit the place/ technician expecting for the tech to give me a complimentary fill and at least examine my lashes. I was wrong the tech wanted to charge me $45 more to fill in the gaps caused by teary eyes and of course medicated eye drops from medical office which were required to alleviate infection. When I first found this place I was happy and excited to try. With the promotion they offered I was hopeful the quality would be top tier. My first appt went well, I was charged the $100. The volume was a bit less than expected but acceptable. After my first refill I was infected and they still had the guts to tell me in person ( baldes lashes n all ) I would have to pay more. WARNING: This super duper dynamic duo (of course, referring to Jane & Sean) just moved locations to Downtown LA, so don't go to their old location in KTown. Unless you created google map, you are sure to get lost at their new location, so Sean will personally escort you to their new location upon your arrival. If this isn't VIP service, I don't know what is. On to the lashes itself, as many other Yelpers have noted, Sean takes his time reviewing all the options with you. End result, you get the look you want, but within the limits of how much your natural lashes can handle. The lashes itself last longer then most places (and I do not take care of them as instructed). I notice that at other places my lashes will last approximately 2-3weeks, but here, I've gone 4 weeks and my lash game was still strong. The only thing is that this place is not on the cheap side, but of course, you are definitely paying for quality. However, the prices aren't unreasonably high either. Compared to Irvine (where I'm from), they are on the cheaper side. Expect ~$140 for your first full set (but there are yelp deals available if this is your first time). Refills are ~$70-90. I've tried a few eyelash extension places and by far I am extremely satisfied. Sean was awesome on going over the difference between the mink lashes and silk lashes. He also showed me the different lengths as well as before and after pictures of other clients. The place is very clean and welcoming. They also offer glitter lashes as well as color lashes for in between the extensions. Jane who is the eyelash technician was a doll and surprisingly very fast.
