Kohler is the ONLY place we found that was open on the weekends for repairs! That is a statement that should be all on it's own. We also got a very fair price and knowledgeable advice from Jeff there. (We called about 5 other places in the area and back in Portland and they were all crazy expensive...people knew we were in a bind). Jeff offered to get a lightly used transmission from Pendleton and install it to avoid spending $$$$$$ on a brand new one. Further, we were able to find one on our own and have it shipped to Jeff and he offered to install that one just the same. We were basically up shit creek without a paddle....they could have taken crazy advantage of us and chose to go the fair and honest route---hard to find these days, especially among mechanics. We had to keep moving on our roadtrip to start jobs, etc so they drove all of us to the airport Hertz even--really went the extra mile. With all the back and forth, they probably spent many hours on the phone with us going through all the details and pricing, etc They test drove it for over 200 miles upon our request before we arrived to pick it up, just to make sure it was running properly w/ the used transmission. He said there was no chance of us getting in that night. So we had to stay a night to wait for them to open in the morning. We made our way to the shop in the morning to have a gentleman named Jeff look at the car. Pops the hood looks in the radiator and then explains how if the radiator is empty it can't cool the car, simple right? He fills the radiator with our coolant and 2 gallons of water to send us on our way. We make it to the exact same spot as we did the day before only to overheat again. Glad he charged us to fix nothing.

The tow truck dropped my truck at 3pm , 10 am the next morning it was rolling out of the shop. They were right fuel pump bad, finished m y drive 1500 miles to Wichita. During our…read more4th of July trip to Long Beach, WA from Georgia, we had a nasty accident which involved a tire flying off of our Jeep while on the interstate. We were towed into Pendleton, OR since that was the closest approved Progressive repair center. Upon arrival, we met Cory and Dave. These two guys were extremely kind and understanding to our situation. Now being in such a remote spot, during the 4th of July holiday there was a understandably longer wait to get things repaired. We left our Jeep, got a rental and pushed on into Long Beach. When we returned to Pendleton, our Jeep still had a bit of body work to go through, so Cory set us up with his corporate discount at one of the local hotels and we saved a good bit of cash by him doing this. I know though the whole ordeal, we were giant pains in the butt for these guys, calling frequently asking for updates and such. Never once was the service anything less than exceptional, there was always a smile on there faces, they didn't mind chatting with us and made me feel much better about the stressful situation. If you guys ever read this, we made it home safe and sound and truly appreciate all the hard work you put in. Our Jeep looks good as new and we couldn't be happier.

He offered a ride (no place to rent a car in Pendleton and no public transportation anywhere else!) to Hermiston and offered to send my personal belongings home to me once it was determined my vehicle was to be totaled and then stored (there was too much to send) until I was able to pick up. Now what could be better than that? I overhead him on the phone to others. Very gracious to all even though he was short handed and exceedingly busy.
