We paid for a large item pickup and received a receipt confirming the service. We were specifically instructed not to place the item outside until after 9:00 AM on Wednesday. However, the truck arrived at 7:46 AM (as captured on our security camera), well before the advised time. When we called to report the issue, we were told the representative who gave us the original instruction was misinformed, and we were advised to try again the following week. We complied, hauling the large item back to the end of the driveway on Tuesday night--no easy task--only to have no truck show up the next morning. Moving it back and forth is difficult and exhausting. After another call, we were told to keep checking back to see if a pickup would even be scheduled in our area. Another week passed, and now we're being told we have to pay again because "we never paid"--despite having a receipt. At this point, we're out the money, and the large item has been sitting in our garage for weeks with no resolution. This experience has been extremely frustrating and feels like a complete scam. 05/14/25 - I'm not sure how to directly respond to you, but I'll add it to my post. Your response actually reinforces my point. The video clearly shows a Pellitteri truck with two men stopping by at 7:46 AM. It doesn't resemble the typical trash pickup trucks. The receipt explicitly states "Pellitteri Waste Systems." Is there even another Pellitteri company operating in this area? Please don't try to gaslight me into thinking I've confused it with a different company. I'll call to try and get this settled once more. If this doesn't get resolved, I'll be looking into taking further action through other avenues. 5/23/25 We contacted management and were told the item would be picked up, but once again, no one showed. Now I'm stuck hauling this large item back into the garage--again. I'm beyond frustrated and will be escalating this with other agencies and bureau. read more

I would highly recommend going with another trash removal service. I have a contract with Pellitteri to pick up the trach at my business. They have consistently missed picking up the trash. Every month I have to call them and get it straightened out. When I tell them I want to go with a company that will reliably pick up my trash, they tell me I have to pay them over $3000 to get out of the contract. This is ridiculous. If your not going to pick up my trash I shouldn't be threatened with a $3000 charge just because I want to go with a company that will do their job. read more

In the past Pellitteri has always done an outstanding job with the brush collection. More recently they refused to take our brush, because they indicated it was "messy". It was within the 5 feet length and neatly stacked as usual(cut edges facing the street). They said the would come and get it for $50.00 or I could wait three weeks -a shake down. read more

We've had horrible service from Pelliteri even after multiple calls. Last week they emptied only half our can (trash was NOT lodged in or stuck). Random addresses in our neighborhood were just plain skipped. I was told that if I hang on to the extra garbage they would pick it all up this week. The customer service person said she put a note in the log that the driver should make sure our can was emptied. He just left. Can not completely empty. There's a toaster on top of the heap that should have just flown out. AWFUL service. Where do they find these guys?????? read more

Terrible price transparency. They charged us double the original price because one piece of furniture was above the rim of our dumpster and they had to use the automated tarp to cover the load. DOUBLE for that. At no point did they mention that was a possibility. Had we known, we would have cut the piece down to fit. They also didn't mention they were keeping our credit card info on file so they could charge us more after the initial payment...shady. Oh, and they were days late to pick the dumpster up. We had our town switch to these guys this year. Our can has been tossed in the street on more than one occasion, after pick up. We have had our recycling knocked sideways by them, and left to be picked up out of the alley by me later. And, today, our house was completely skipped. I miss our old company. We live by an alley, so our stuff used to be picked up through there, it took a few weeks of our trash can (that was still placed by the road) being tipped over to realize that their route must be different and they want it closer to the street. They just seem petty, rude, and I am not happy. read more

Recently had to have our roof replaced and started the process of finding a dumpster and the folks at Pellitteri were awesome. The initial call was taken by Ashley and she promptly gave me all the information I needed to get an idea of the process and cost. When I called to place the order, I spoke with Jeff who knows what he is doing and understands customer service! I work in HR and have recruited all level of positions from top executives to line workers and when I got off the phone with Jeff, my first thought was "I hope our customer have great experiences with people here like I just did."
