My water heater kept giving error code of blockage, and I had to reset it every other day. The tech Anthony recommended descaling. I was charged close to $900 for diagnosing the water heater and descaling it. It only took him 5 min to set up the descaling, the rest of the time was just waiting for the heater to flush itself. My water heater gave the same error code the same night. I called Plumbing Express again. Another tech came, he said he couldn't find anything wrong, he said maybe due to strong wind. He just hit the reset button, which I knew to do it myself. I called Plumbing Express again. This time they didn't come, and gave me $2,000 quote to repair the piping and all that. I debated for a long time between repairing and replacing the whole system (my system was only 5 years old). I decided to call another plumbing company for second opinion. They came and found the inlet water filter being extremely dirty and blocked. They cleaned it, and now my water heater is working like new again, and the new plumbing company charged me less than $100. Cleaning the filter was supposed to be part of the annual maintenance descaling that I paid Plumbing Express to do, which they obviously didn't do and I paid $900 for. They even mis-diagnosed and wanted me to fix the whole plumbing system for $2-3k. It is insane! Another issue was during the first appointment of fixing my water heater, I also asked Anthony to look at my shower faucet because it didn't control temperature very well. It was working fine besides the temperature part. He unassembled it to look inside. He said the cartridge needs to be replaced. He had to look for it and would call me back. Anthony put the shower faucet back. The same day when I used the shower, I turned the faucet and it fell off. It was very obvious that Anthony assembled it incorrectly. He came back and couldn't put it back because the parts inside broke already. He said he would call me back about replacement quote. Never called me back. I had to call office multiple times. After that, they said the faucet is too old, there is no replacement part, I would have to replace my entire master shower system. Not only Plumbing Express didn't fix my shower faucet, they completely broke it. They turned a simple problem into something they would cost me tens of thousands of dollars to fix. Now I'm still living with my faucet broken off and still trying to figure out a way to fix it without breaking my bank.

Brian came out quickly and accurately diagnosed the issue: a pin-sized hole in one of the PVC pipes underground in our front yard that feeds the house. We had noticed water running down the driveway and weren't sure if it was just runoff from recent rain or a broken pipe, especially since temperatures had been below freezing. Brian confirmed it was a leak by shutting off the water to the house and checking the meter--we were still using water. From there, Brian walked me through multiple options, ranging from a full pipe replacement to a targeted repair. I was dealing with family health issues at the time and needed the fastest, least disruptive solution so I could focus on being at the hospital. Brian really stepped up. He suggested bringing in a leak-detection specialist using sonar equipment to pinpoint the exact location. That evening, a gas technician came out to mark the gas lines, the leak-detection team arrived the next morning, and Brian dug a very small area and replaced the damaged pipe on day two. He even worked past dark to finish the job. Plumb Doc handled everything--all scheduling, coordination, and follow-through. Brian personally made sure every vendor piece was handled correctly. A few days later, after the clay had settled, Brian came back to fill in the hole--even though we had already paid. He even offered to buy a bag of mulch to cover the area, which we declined since we planned to re-mulch anyway. The leak is fully fixed, no more water loss, and the price was completely reasonable. Throughout the process, Brian kept me informed via text, sent photos, and made sure I always knew what was happening. He was in and out of my home in less than 15 minutes, and I kind of learned how to address these types of issues in the future so I am very grateful. Had to get the landlord to schedule someone to detect the leak. It was an underground leak from the meter to the house. Once the leak was detected, the landlord scheduled Superior Plumbing to fix it. The plumber had a deep hole dug next to the driveway. He was under the assumption we were the homeowners. I went out and asked him if he already had payment info from my landlord and he said no. He then called his office but afterwards he went back to work so assumed he had the payment issue resolved. He did work hard and long on the issue and resolved it. However when he was done, he told us he could not reach the landlord to get payment info. He asked if I would call the landlord. I did and just got voice mail. He put me on the phone with his boss who was very angry the landlord was not answering his phone and proceeded to say the 3 of us, my boyfriend, landlord and me were in collusion to rip them off. His boss was saying "This guy worked 12 hrs and he is not going to get paid!" (That would be the guys ENTIRE work day--he was at our place for a few hours) He was saying we just were so wrong for this guy not getting paid. Like I could magically get in touch with the landlord! So he said he was going to have the guy dig up the ground again and cut the pipe totally and we would have NO water! OR just take the meter! (We had water before he did the repair--just was leaking causing a high water bill) But they were going to leave us with NO water! That would be uninhabitable conditions! It was getting dark and I just wanted this to be over so I paid the guy myself. I still never received an apology when the landlord did call them the next morning and paid.

High repair cost for something that didn't need to be repaired…read more They came out to test my water pressure valve regulator and said it was reading 95psi and quoted $750 to repair and charged a $85 diagnostic fee. I got Paramount Plumbing to come out and they realized my outdoor hose was plumbed before the water pressure valve which is why the original reading was high. They showed me the proper hose spigot to use and my actual water pressure reading is 65 psi. They said my water pressure valve is fine and quoted me $450 if it needed to be replaced.
