My family and I enjoyed these snow cones and ice cream. Luckily we got there before the big rush hit. They got busy quick! But they were very polite. No drive thru, just seating outdoors. Plenty of room for kids to play in an enclosed yard space. After trying a butter pecan waffle cone, a green apple snow cone, and a pink lady snow cone (stuffed with ice cream and topped with sweetened condensed milk), we're going to rate this stand a 4/5. My mother ordered the unicorn snowball, she was asked if she wanted a gummy or whip cream and she said if it's not included than no. The girl at the counter charged her $0.75 each, even though the signs say $0.50 for extras (in very small words). The snowball was pictured with whip cream and the description states, "topped with whip cream and fairy dust." When we got our snowballs we informed the girl (she had blonde hair and a royal blue t-shirt) that their sign might be confusing to others, she rolled her eyes and made an expression that she clearly didn't care what we had to say and shut the window on us. We were going to let the overcharge go and go about our day until the girl at the window caught an attitude. We called the store and the owner inside answered the phone. She said, "Oh I'm sorry that happened to you, it sounds like a misunderstanding. We are really busy so that's probably not what she meant. That's why we ask if you want whip cream because it's not included." It seems that the owner doesn't care how her employees treat her customers. read more

We randomly decided to stop here after seeing it on the side of the road, and we stumbled upon the best snoballs ever! Not sure if there's been a change in ownership; but we used to visit this place 2 years ago because their snowballs tipped with condensed milk were great. Today my husband and I each bought a large with condensed milk. They were very stingy on the flavored syrup and even worse on the condensed milk which amounted to maybe one tablespoon on the top. $12.50 for two large snowballs that were nearly tasteless tells us we'll not be returning to Pelican Snowballs until we hear that they've upped their game in providing a great tasting and refreshing snowball. read more

One of the best snoballs in the area! Yes, there's always a line, but that proves my point. :) The ice is powder soft, not crunchy at all. They fill the cup with ice to a pointed cone shape. Then, they pour on the syrup. Next, they finish with a rounded scoop of ice and more syrup! Cup sizes range from Kiddie ($2) to Avalanche ($5). The kiddie is much larger than those of other stands. I had the regular size ($3) and that was more than enough for me. The syrup flavors are great! I had the Creamsicle, which is the Dreamsicle syrup with cream added. Yum-o! The nicely notated menu makes it easier to make your choice. There is a wide variety of flavors (over 100!). The dill pickle flavor is next on my list. The area is nice, as they have a fenced play area where the kiddos can play while you wait in line. There is limited seating, but high turnover of tables. Expect to wait a few minutes, as they have only one ice machine. Our wait was about 10 minutes total, so not too bad. This is definitely a new favorite for us! read more

Sorry John B, but according to my granddaughter "this place sucks"! There is not enough syrup! She actually showed me by hollowing out the center. There was a small amount of syrup on the top (down to the top of the rim of the cup) but the rest was just ice. AND it cost about $6. This place was great. We were in town for a short time and I wanted to I've my wife a great snocone experience and they did not disappoint! I don't know what "Sawblade" was talking about in her unnecessary one star review, but the service and snocone were perfect. Don't waste your time. Help sucks and has a bad attitude. Be careful when you order cause if they screw up they question if you ordered the right flavor. Ordered a lemon lime and they made spearmint and then questioned whether I ordered that flavor. Made several other people's snowballs before getting my. Priority is not one of their strong points. I've had Snoballs from in and around New Orleans area all my life. This place is at the top of the list. My usual is chocolate cream with condensed milk. Ice is super fine and the snoball is made properly with juice all throughout(which is most important thing besides having fine ice) can't tell you how many so called snoball stands I've gone too and there's a big glob of white ice from the middle of the cup down from rushing and not being made properly.
