You'll notice on the menu that the price is listed in full for the small, and each up size only says add $1 and add $2. Which I think looks better than saying $7.29, $7.69 etc for Medium. Then $8.69 etc for a large. It's pretty smart marketing I'd imagine. But if you're taking a nice sized family out for a treat, just be warned of the prices. The service is pretty good and has been pretty fast, but only one person has been ahead of us in line each time. There are a few benches outside for seating, but no inside seating. So we all ordered the waffle bowls just to get to the table and find the most stale waffle bowl ever. No shame if they are old, but being honest could have saved us a bad experience. Also, the chocolate ice cream was not that good. It was the only chocolate they had & it was super rich, almost too chocolatey.

I told her I wasn't a fan of icees because I grew up in Hawaii, where we have shaved ice. I described how the ice was so soft that it's almost like powder snow and is even creamy with toppings. She told me I really needed a try a snowball because in all the years I've come to New Orleans to eat it's an item that the locals love and one of the things I have to cross off my imaginary bucket list. To my surprise snowballs are as soft as shaved ice from Hawaii! I really loved how there are so many flavor combinations. I'm not crazy about artificial flavors and was so happy to see Earl Grey tea and lavender! Such a grown-up flavor combination and that's what I ordered! A small was already too big, but it was wonderful, especially on such a hot, Summer day! I'm so grateful to Stacye for taking me to this local institution!!
