It's not authentic Chinese food but not too bad for Americanized Chinese food at a good price for the amount of food you get, which is getting harder to find nowadays. We came in one weekend evening. The place is clean and nicely decorated. Not too many people eating inside, a lot of takeout being picked up. We shared a dinner combo, which was about $20ish for a soup, a fried appetizer, main, and a carb. We chose the wonton soup, egg roll, pork fried rice and shrimp kung Pao. (The menu says prawn but they're definitely small shrimp) The wonton soup was definitely not traditional, soup basic wontons in a flavorless broth with frozen veggies mix thrown in as an afterthought. Adding soy sauce and a touch of vinegar helped. The veggies egg roll and panko shrimp were your standard fare, likely from a restaurant supply and just heated/fried but I can't deny I love it. The flavor and portions of the rice and kung Pao shrimp were pretty good. Not too oily, and the kung Pao actually had a few really hot pepper pods in there. Truthfully, Panda Express is a bit tastier and fresher, and I wouldn't put this anywhere near Bellevue or CID restaurants, but the food helps satisfy the hankering for classic no-frills Americanized-Chinese food if you want a nice sit down restaurant nearby that isn't a corporate chain. Went into the restaurant to discuss the situation and they didn't want anything to do with it.Currently disputing the charge. Food has gone down hill lately also. read more

The worst Chinese food I've had recently. The sweet and sour chicken is ok but I didn't care for anything else.

With three young kids, it's kind of hard to get out for too many date nights so my fiancé and I often have at home date nights and order dinner in. For one of our date nights we were craving Chinese and decided to try Peking Garden! Actually surprised to see that it's only 3 stars, because we loved it. As mentioned, this was a delivery order. Food was hot upon arrival and packaged nicely. We went with the Combo Dinner B, which included General Tsao's chicken, bbq pork fried rice, orange chicken with steamed rice, hot and sour soup, and wonton soup. It was an INSANE amount of food and after the cost of the food and tip, it was only a little over $60. It sounds kind of steep, but this was enough food for three meals for both of us. Both the General Tsao's and the orange chicken were so good. Zero complaints and would order again in a heartbeat. The bbq pork fried rice was a little on the dry side but overall yummy, and we couldn't believe the amount they sent us. A whole takeout carton! My hot & sour soup was delicious and hit the spot as I was really craving a soup all day. This was a solid choice and we'll likely order again in the future when we're craving Chinese. read more

The food is great - a healthy alternative to other Chinese restaurants that only offer fried or MSG laden menu items. I specifically recommend the fried rice - it has a nice smokey flavor. I always get the 'chicken and vegetables' - which has a generous offering of mixed vegetables and lean chicken. We are always greeted with a friendly smile and good service. The atmosphere is as expected in similar restaurants - an endless supply of hot tea is a nice touch. Overall a high recommendation. read more

This place has the worst Chinese food my husband and I have ever eaten. We ordered a combination for 19.95 I ordered Mongolian beef, which taste like teriyaki beef with a huge amount of white onions Nothing like the recipe for Mongolian beef . My husband got the cashew chicken, which was a large amount of veggies, very little chicken and very little cashews. The fried rice was horrible with peas and carrots and looks like mixed with soy sauce . The egg rolls tasted like they only had cabbage inside. The barbecue pork was I'm sure prepackaged, pork and sliced into thick slices and served cold straight from the fridge. not to mention the soup that it came with, which was supposed to be wonton soup tasted like wonton mixed with water no flavor whatsoever. It was the worst wonton I've ever seen and tasted. Our bill was almost $50 with the tip. that was the worst $50 I've ever spent on Chinese food do not recommend. read more

Handed us bag and said here's your order. Got home and realized half our order was missing. Tried calling them but nobody answered. Drove all the way back from Bonney Lake. They said they tried to call is which had to be a lie because we had zero missed calls. They just handed us the missing bag and as we walked out one of them said "not our fault". No apology or hey sorry that happened here's a free egg roll, not about whose fault it was but about taking care of a paying customer. Beware when you order be very specific when you order the lunch meal that you want the lunch meal otherwise they will charge you for the dinner price and give you the lunch portion. Another reason to be very specific in your order and double check the waitress is my cousin ordered honey walnut prawns and got Kung Pao Prawns. The waitress that helped us left and the girl that took over didn't know what to do so my cousin took the meal and was unable to eat the meal as it was to Spicy. Food is subpar. Just be warned you'll get what the waitress wants you to have and no way to fix it you'll just get told that's what you ordered. What should have been a lunch meal charge became a dinner charge. Horrible. Do NOT eat here. I was served cold fried rice and BURNT almond chicken. The meat was 1/2" thick I'm guessing it couldn't have been beaten any thinner. It was breaded and so over cooked it could barely be cut and bitten with BURNT edges. It should not have been served. Two to three times I asked for a straw, and I never got one. The cook looked la-tino not Chinese. Since I was the only white person in there it felt like the experience was a result of the BS narrative of white privledge that the media pushing. read more

I finally decided to give it a try the other night and it did not disappoint. This place tastes like a few of my favorite New York hole-in-the-wall Chinese places. You guys should really include a disclaimer on your food delivery apps that none of your meals come with sides. This is the first (and I hope only) time I have ever ordered curry and it has not come with rice. I do not really understand because curry is meant to be eaten with rice. Many of these dishes are swimming in sauce and should have a side of rice as most Asian restaurants offer. It's rice..........it's not expensive. I had to cook my own rice at home and without the proper rice, it's subpar. Please either include rice with your curry or mention that it does not come included. Chicken Curry - B grade. Good portion size! "Medium heat" was not so much medium as large. I'm used to spicy foods, but the extra spice wasn't what I was looking for. Flavor was okay but my local Thai restaurant is better and cheaper. Probably wouldn't order again due to the spice level. Steamed dumplings - B grade. Just okay. I feel like I could have bought a package of frozen ones at the store and steamed them myself for the same flavor. Worth the 2-for-1 sale. I ate here in 2014 and had a bad experience. The food was mediocre at best, but the worth part was the service. I got a message advising they were under new management and the woman that served me was no longer employed there. Based on that, I thought if I were ever in the area, I would check back with them. Took 7 years, but I made it back and this was a bigger fail than my last meal. I told host that I wanted a meal that was both hot with infused heat, and spicy with flavor. He asked me what meat I like and I advised Beef or Chicken. He suggested Kung Pao Chicken. I agreed and got a lunch special to go. What I got was not Kung Pao Chicken, it was Kung Pao Zucchini and guess what, I HATE ZUCCHINI! It was without a doubt, 80% Zucchini, 10% peanuts and 10% chicken and celery. You can not call a dish Chicken when chicken is the weakest ingredient, also, I've never had Kung Pao with zucchini. It's normally meat first, then peanuts, then a mix of bamboo, water chestnuts carrot and celery. I paid $12 for what could have essentially fit in a small cup. I was tempted to return and demand my money back, but my time is far too valuable for that. You knew the protein portion was a joke, so why didn't you recommend another dish? This is what your Yelp score is so low and you have so few reviews. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by the food. We tried the sesame chicken, honey walnut shrimp, Mongolian beef & the cream cheese wontons. Was very satisfied! They even have complimentary ice cream cones that was the perfect after meal treat. The servers were all very nice and accommodating. It's a cute, local place. read more

I ordered out from Uber eats super excited to try a new Chinese place. I ordered the pork fried rice and vegetable egg rolls. The egg rolls were delicious! Even after delivery they were hot, crunchy, and tasty! 10/10 would order again. The fried rice however... They drowned the whole thing in soy sauce! :( I love soy sauce but at some point it is waaay to much and they crossed that point long ago. Even the pork is salty. That's the only flavor in this fried rice. It also didn't taste fresh. Sad because I was so excited. I contacted Uber and so hopefully I will get a refund because I can't eat this. I ordered two entrees and one appetizer from this restaurant through Uber Eats about a month ago. I wanted to give it a review, but I wanted to give myself some space for fair perspective before I did. Chicken Chow Mein, Mongolian beef, and an order of fried spring rolls. That's what I ordered. Nothing special. The bill was something like 45 bucks before tip. The chow mein noodles tasted like they were literally overcooked spaghetti, mixed with steamed vegetables and cubes of chicken, all tossed in a sauce that appeared to be somewhere, just not in the styrofoam box it came with. The Mongolian Beef tasted like sugar-coated beef with soy sauce, and the spring rolls were so salty I had to stop eating the first one and threw the other two away. I'm not sure if I can honestly say anything beneficial about this restaurant, save the fact that it is a local restaurant and it is faring the pandemic to remain open. But I have to admit that if its menu is anything like the basic items I ordered, I'd say that living on six months of SOS bars in quarantine is better than eating even one order off this menu. I hope Sumner can find a way to resurrect this restaurant from the grave. Every city deserves a good go-to Chinese eatery. I just don't know if it deserves to settle for something like this. read more

Is there less than a one star?? This was the absolute WORST experience I've ever had at a restaurant. The front ladies were unorganized and disrespectful. My family ordered food at 3:45pm for a 6:15pm pick up. We showed up at 6:15pm to pick up our food and they said it was going to be an extra 30mins. Long story short- we waited over an hour in the lobby for our food and watched people that were 20+ ticket numbers behind us leave with their food after we've been essentially waiting for over 3hours AND THEN ended up leaving with no food and a cash refund. The front lady had the nerve to LAUGH IN OUR FACE and Raise her voice at us. We are disgusted by the way this business handled customer service. read more

I ordered Cashew Chicken from the huge Lunch Specials Menu. I said to the waitress "It comes with fried rice right?" Yes she said but when I got my plate it was all white rice. I don't know why she didn't write it down right as I was the only customer in the Cafe at the time. So I watched the next four plates she brought out from the kitchen and they all had fried rice. The soup was very hot and tasty. The Cashew Chicken was tasty. The tea was lukewarm. The menu posted on Yelp said the lunch specials are $5.95 but they start at $7.95. The waitress was attentive and talked to everyone as soon as they came through the door. Many people came to pick up orders they had phoned in. As far as cleanliness, the table was clean but the condiments dish was dirty and the tablecloth was stained (see pictures I posted). I won't be going back. read more

We have been eating here for a while now and it seemed like each time we come portions get smaller and the food doesn't taste fresh. We got takeout the other day and it was the last time we will be going there. We got fried rice, walnut shrimp, almond chicken and some other dishes. The shrimp was just covered in thick sauce. We removed most of the sauce to only discover the shrimp itself tastes off. The almond chicken was basically chicken katsu with flavorless gravy.
