Crawfish is hot and the seasoning is spicy. Been hard to find a place to purchase crawfish so if in the area give this place a try.

Despite it was a bit expensive, we enjoyed it. The taste was on point and it did make us crave carbs with it. We ordered extra garlic noodles and some cheese bread. We liked all the seafood on there except the crab legs. The crab legs were too salty and you could tell it was previously frozen. Wish we didn't order the combo that came with it. I recommend ordering a combo with what you like and add addition crawfish, shrimp or mussels to it if you're not a fan of crab legs. It probably will be cheaper considering the crab legs were the most expensive part of the combo. Service was good, but they were super busy so we did flag them down a few times. I recommend!

Tray with everything in it! So good!

Crawfish Chef has large seating areas and was able to accommodate our party. The servers were nice and checked on us a few times, which was great because we ordered a few more pounds of shrimp and crawfish on top of our tray. Their house sauce was delicious. I tasted both the mild and hot sauce and loved them both. The restaurant is well maintained, including the bathroom. My friends and I enjoyed ourselves and will be bringing our families back here.

THEY HAVE FRESH CRAWFISH for only 3/15-17!!!!! The fresh ones which were Air-shipped from Louisiana. The 5Lb crawfish combo is only $59, my friends and I love the Lemon Pepper flavor better than the house special one. Highly recommend anyone who love crawfish to give a try. I think it tastes the SAME as LIVE crawfish which I had in China. Hope they could always have LIVE CRAWFISH It's totally totally totally different from the regular ones they sell in store which are frozen (and CHEAPER!!!)

Listen . Don't cheat on your seafood boil place. Don't get me wrong it's really cute in there. From the booths to the tables really cute. The staff really isn't that interactive (meaning) they won't really come over to your table to see if you need a refill or anything else you may need. But let's get into why y'all really read my posts: Combo 3 ( shrimp & crab) $65.00 Combo 5 ( shrimp , crawfish and crab) $81.00 Yes both come with corn and potatoes ( eggs are extra) if you want the head off your shrimp it's a$6.00 charge . After that $15.50 tax i paid a total of $170.50 ooops forgot to add 2 sodas ( and i bet you're going too be like they got apps ) WROOOOOOONG the proof will be posted below ! Let's get into the food: shrimp& crab a little over cooked . The crawfish was previously frozen. I am talking like we were fighting our food to get the seafood out of the shells. Something I've never had to do. When i mean like fight for your life i mean like it's the 4th quarter you have the ball 4 secs left on the clock. That's what i mean. I know reciepts is worth more than my word so enjoy! ( yes there was 2 of us) Food: 5.5/10 Service: 3/10 Ambiance: 8/10

Ask the Community - Crawfish Chef

Is the crawfish here fresh or frozen?

    Frozen

Do they sell just steamed shrimp by the pound?

I think everything is boiled but they had a by the pound market price dry erase board up on the wall.

We came here for my friend's birthday and the vibe was absolutely immaculate!!!! Exactly the kind of energy you want for a special night out. Let's talk about the service: Brian and Jason are absolute legends. They took such good care of us and honestly made the whole experience 10x better. They're attentive, super friendly, and just know how to make you feel like a VIP. The bar has everything you need. Reanee is the sweetest and will customize to your hearts desire ensuring your whistle is wet Now, the food... wow. The chicken is straight-up fire, but the real game-changer is the Lemon Pepper SAUCE. I've only ever had the dry rub before at other spots, but having it as a wet sauce is a total revelation. It's zesty, peppery, and addictive... I'm never going back to dry rub again. Amazing food, killer service, and a great atmosphere. If you haven't been here yet, you're missing out. Highly recommend!

In my mind it…read morewas gonna be dimly lit, old school, classy dark-colored furniture, easy listening jazzy music playing softly in the background and a warm ambiance that was inviting, once you stepped in. That's what I picture when I hear speakeasy. A very intimate setting. However, this was completely opposite. It was bright, with a mishmash of decor. I wasn't sure if there was a theme. There were fake plants and a column/pillar with mirrors on it, an Amazon Forrest mural on the wall with televisions up on a couple. Felt like a sports bar. The tables and chairs were your average styled booths, that light-colored wood. It was sooooo cold inside. When we walked in, we were greeted by a nice young lady. She seemed to have a puzzled look on her face as to why we were there. My husband stated we had reservations. So now we were seated. Time to order. Looking over the menu, I see the pricing and was like "ok, a lil higher priced type of menu" I was down to give it a try. We ordered the calamari and zucchini chips for apps and then the butternut squash risotto with scallops (approx $30) for me and the brined chicken ($28) for my husband as well as a side of broccolini ($14). The apps came out first and I was honestly shocked. The calamari were so tiny and the zucchini looked like what they would serve in a bowling alley. Both dishes had the "mama lil's peppers" in it. I'm okay with the portion size but how are you charging $20 for calamari and $14 for the zucchini? Then we received our entrees. Again, we were looking for an elevated dining experience with the pricing of the food, to include presentation and all. I was disappointed to see the cheap cafeteria-like silverware and dish ware it was served on. Now understand the food was good. Not OMG WE ARE COMING BACK kinda good. But mid. Nothing wrong with that but the way they advertise is as if you are about to have a romantic, chill and classy dining experience. It's okay to be mid tier. I won't be mad about it. My dish was not butternut squash risotto, it was a mushroom risotto with 4 mid sized scallops. My husband's chicken was nicely seasoned and flavored and the mashed potatoes it came with, delish. He had caramelized carrots but some were straight black. Maybe a bit much heat. The broccolini was drowning in a cream sauce with onions and mama lil's peppers, slightly overcooked. Needless to say, it wasn't the dinner I was expecting, especially paying almost $200 for it. We did have a couple drinks and those were good. Customer service was on point. The staff were accommodating and helpful. I would kinda expect that since there were only us and another table in the dining room area. I had high hopes but sadly, not the vibe I was looking for. I've been to a fair share of a lil more upscale restaurants and this didn't hit that point for me personally. I think with lower prices and refraining from calling it a speakeasy, it could do well. Just my opinion. Oh they had a lil area for taking selfies available. Thank you for a nice date night with my hubby. We had a chance to have some one on one time together.

I couldn't remember the name of the place, but we found it: The Fish Peddler! We must have arrived at a perfect interval because there was a table for two that had just been bussed and ready for us near the large counter in the back where food was collected by servers and presented to hungry patrons at any of the 30-40 tables. Our server was genuinely warm and delightful and guided us to the menu and the on-line beer on tap information. Drinks were ordered and delivered in minutes - just enough time for us to announce our selections: A 3-piece halibut and chips for her, and for me, the albacore tuna with spring greens and gouda cheese on sourdough with a pint of I'm Not Afraid Of Music. It had the lowest alcohol content, and since I was driving, didn't want to push my luck. When our huge white dinner plates arrived - oh - did I mention the amazing jalapeño coleslaw? - we were amazed at the size of the perfectly deep fried halibut - which, on their own, provide a good bite, making only a smitten of tartar sauce necessary because you gotta have tartar sauce with fried fish, after all, right? I picked up one my sandwich haves and removed the toothpick with too much gusto and suffered a small splinter that I couldn't remove until I got home a couple of hours later with the help of a magnifying glass, a tweezer and some masking tape. But I ignored the splinter while I enjoyed my "this is NOT your mom's - or HER mom's - Tuna melt". The perfect balance of the albacore spread with the gouda showing up gloriously in almost every bite, the pillowy and cool greens and tomato slice that balanced the heat from the albacore between the two lightly toasted sourdough was my Valentine's Day gift to my mouth. We were stuffed, but not defeated - we ordered our cheesecake to go, and I get to have the last piece of halibut for a snack later on! It was great getting re-acquainted with This cozy, fun, busy restaurant since our last (and first) visit 3 years ago. My only regret is that for some unknown but surely inexcusable reason, I had waited three years before returning. Won't happen again.

Turns out it's the former, at least in atmosphere. The service was genuinely lovely from start to finish. The host, server, and table assistants were warm and attentive. No notes there. We went with the ribeye prix fixe, which felt like the obvious call given that Ms. Jane's has built its reputation around it. The menu included a salad, two ribeyes with mashed potatoes and broccoli, and dessert for $150 plus wine. The salad was beautiful and delicious. It just could've used some cheese, and I will die on that hill. The mashed potatoes were legitimately outstanding and nearly redeemed the entire evening on their own. The broccoli was fine. Broccoli is always just fine. Then there were the ribeyes. They were enormous, beautifully presented, and unfortunately not much else. Both cuts had an excessive amount of fat and lacked the depth of flavor you'd expect from a restaurant that's staked its identity on this one dish. We make better steaks at home, which is not something you want to be thinking about after dropping $150 before wine. Dessert closed things out on a high note. A chocolate and vanilla mousse topped with genuinely delicate whipped cream. In the moment we told ourselves we'd come back and try something else. A few days of reflection later, that enthusiasm cooled but it didn't disappear entirely. The service was too good, the mashed potatoes too memorable, and the mousse too solid to write the place off completely. Ms. Jane's clearly has something going on. We just hope the ribeye isn't the thing they're most proud of.
