Crab rangoon is delicious here, cooked perfectly on two different occasions when i was in the area.

I order food here all of the time. They used to give you alot more food than they do now. The food taste great, just not enough.

So good and not greasy at all! Tried the crab ragoons, cashew chicken, and egg drop soup. All were very good, and good sized portions.

Great Chinese at great prices. Always fresh and the staff is friendly. The fried rice is great as well as the pu pu platter.

Very good food at reasonable prices. Plan to eat here often. Best pork fried rice I've ever had and great egg rolls

The only REAL Asian food establishment in Windsor, CT…read more I have been to the others in town and none compare to the menu at Char Koon Noodle Express. It's primarily a take-out/delivery joint. You can eat in. The ambiance is not romantic or cozy. What it lacks in ambiance it truly makes up for it in the taste, quality and portion sizes. The menu has something for most. The House Noodles (no shrimp please) are my go-to! They were my late husband's fave (with shrimp) and you do get a very nice portion. As with everything I have ever ordered, and I've lived in Windsor 23 years, things are cooked to your request, they are thorough, and best of all I have never had to wait forever to pick up my order. They have expanded their menu! They participate with popular delivery services. I choose to pick up as I have the time to and do not like others handling my order. I have never had an incorrect order. The staff is always polite. This is a small gem of a find. Try them once and I'll bet you too will keep coming back to try other menu items. Enjoy!!!!

Good food, reasonable prices for the area, dark…read more Came here cause the missus was craving dumpling and we've only dabbled in the restaurants in WeHa. Outside was unassuming. Sidewalks were torn up but the place is hard to find with lack of signage. We were able to get seated right away, and looked through their digital menu. We got a smattering of dishes, wontons and dumplings, a sandwich and a ramen. Food came out in a reasonable wait time. We took pics and dug in. The 7 flavor dumpling was the star of the show. Light and thin dumpling wrapper, savory sweet sauce, plenty of filling. The pork dumplings were good, but the wrapper was thicker and denser. The twice cooked pork sandwich was pretty tasty, the pork needed to be more present compared to the veggies, but appreciated the crisp of the bread. The ramen had a good amount of braised beef and noodles. The broth needed a little doctoring to coax out some of the more savory notes. Broth needed more aggressive seasoning though. The price was not too bad for the area. It's kind of like dim sum, where you get a small plate for the price but it's all shareable and the flavors are good. It's not very well lit, gave the place a very dark air about it. But as a restaurant, it's pretty good. There's a lot of great places in that area, and this one's a good option if you're looking for small plates.

What a great spot in WeHa. First off easy parking and alittle of Main Street so easier…read moreaccessibility- which I greatly appreciated. Inside is beautifully decorated, clean and staff was friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious, not everything was a home run - but not everything on a menu can be. The flavors were on point but a couple missteps in execution. But a solid 4-4.5. Our favorite dish was the seven flavor wontons. Wontons were super tender and flavors were on point. The spicy beef ramen was really good, but the broth was oily and too thin for our liking. We added some soy and asked for some hoisin - which made a big difference. Overall, We will definitely be back and try more menu items.
