Nice heat, orange zest helps amplify the citrus. Just yummy. House fried rice was a little lacklustre by comparison, but it's not hateful. Generous amounts of protein and veg but the flavour isn't very deep. I mixed a little soy and fish sauce together and that helped to bring things together. Over all solid experience. More of a take out than a destination. The dining room is a little sparse. Counter service is good though.

It was definitely more on the side of actually Chinese than American Chinese, based on the menu and the people working there. They did have a reasonable vegetable and tofu selection. Among the dishes that you don't usually see at the more American restaurants was a dry cumin tofu preparation. It had abundant cilantro, and I'm in the category of people who gets a weird soapy aftertaste with cilantro but still likes to eat it from time to time; this dish gave me a ton of aftertaste but was otherwise good. A ma po tofu had proper fermented bean paste and leeks, albeit not a ton of numbing sensation that I could discern which is really the bar for the best rendition of the dish. Their cabbage dish was described as "hand torn" and it strikes me that this is the sort of place where that's probably true, and it was a tasty saute and a nice contrast to the rest. Their online ordering system wanted to offer me a free egg roll for my order but wouldn't let me get a vegetable one. I wish they'd label some of the dishes more clearly for dietary needs or just plain description. But overall, it was solid food for a town with a relative dearth of this cuisine.

The seafood was cut into unusual and decorative shapes, while still being one inch or longer pieces. This dish included a basic Kung Pao gravy that was slightly sweet, sour and a bit spicy. As soon as you walk in, you're welcomed into a warm, clean, and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant felt well-organized, and the staff greeted us right away before showing us to a booth--our favorite type of seating. Our server was attentive without being overbearing, giving us plenty of time to look over the menu while also offering a few personal favorites when we had questions. That balance of great service and genuine hospitality really stood out. The food was outstanding. I ordered the Tom Yum Lemongrass Soup with pork and the Chicken Pad Thai, while my wife had the Wonton Soup and Drunken Noodles. Our friend chose the Dry Noodles with Duck and finished the meal with the Fried Banana Ice Cream for dessert. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and arrived surprisingly quickly. The portions were generous without being overwhelming, and everyone at the table thoroughly enjoyed their meal. If you're looking for authentic Thai food, friendly service, and a relaxed dining experience, Thai Cuisine & Noodle House is definitely worth a visit. We'll absolutely be back!

The fried dumplings were a bit light on the actual tofu I was hoping for, but the meal delivered a basic satisfaction. The interior has a couple of seats but is quite spartan, and had an overly full trash can as all food was served in takeout containers. I've been eating here for around 15 years and can no longer say they are the best Chinese in cville (look to Asian express or red lantern for this). Back in the day once on a blue moon you'd get some hard dry chicken in an entree and it just would be what it was because 90% of the time the food was fresh hot and good. Now it seems to be the norm to serve dry days old chicken in their entrees that basically sucks the moisture out of your mouth and stabs you while you try to eat it. Seriously so bad. Their dumplings and noodles are still fine but the main dishes with chicken has suffered severe declines in quality and every single time I eat here now it's bad. I am sorry Hong Kong - until you fix the issue with the chicken we can be bothered to waste our money here anymore.
