This is by far the best Chinese food that I've eaten at since living in Kingston. The beef lo mein is my favorite. Their large size is like two meals in one. Never eaten in the restaurant yet, just take out, but the service is always quick and the staff is very friendly. read more

Awesome people, very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious, my boyfriend and I tried this place (I'm newer to the area) and we were not disappointed. Black pepper beef was amazing, highly recommend. Beef fried rice was perfect, and pork egg rolls were delicious (and huge). Will definitely be going here in the future! This was the worst Chinese food I've had in a long time... this restaurant almost always has amazing food. I was so disappointed. Not only was the food greasy... but it also was bland. I am so used to receiving high quality food from Peking chef but this time I got a meal I didn't want to eat. I don't mind paying more for great food but when you pay more and get badly cooked food you can't eat... it's really upsetting. I'm hoping this was a fluke and not the new normal there... it was my favorite Chinese restaurant... they are extremely clean and kind... praying this doesn't happen again. read more

Peking Chef in Kingston is excellent! The place is very nice. Only Chinese food we will eat!!

Peking Chef is worlds apart from most of the other Chinese places that have sprung up in the Valley. Many of the newer places are like Chinese versions of the greasy spoon (greasy chopsticks?), and not in a good way. Peking Chef is a big step up from those places. Food: The food here is delicious and fresh, and they are willing to customize your order. Staff: The staff is friendly. Sometimes they can sound harried on the phone when I call in my order, but that's probably when I call during a rush. Delivery: They offer a limited delivery service but seem to be reluctant to do so, especially if your order is on the smaller side. Price: Like others have said, it is a bit pricey for Chinese food. To me it's worth it to pay a little more to get some tasty Chinese food that I know will be high quality. If the price were lower, I would definitely order from them more frequently though. (This review is for the Kingston location, I haven't tried the others. I never eat in there, opting instead for takeout.) read more

Absolutely the best. If they offered stock, I would buy it. The food is awesome. I had the General Tso's Chicken. I like it cranked up to 15 Star spice level, 20 is also nice. The chicken was ALL WHITE MEAT! Mr. and Mrs. Lee (the owners) are awesome and are happy to see happy customers. The prices are a bit higher but you do get much higher quality food compared to other local chinese food establishments. The food is addictingly delicious. The environment for dining in is very welcoming and very clean. I've stabilized myself on 1 visit per week. Once you try it you will be back for more. read more

Peking Chef Express sets itself apart from the others by using good, quality ingredients. I got takeout. - The broccoli tasted fresh, not frozen. - The shrimp was large and tasty. - Wonton soup broth wasn't overly salty. - They have brown rice! - Sauces weren't greasy. The only downside was that it was a bit pricey. The portions may not be as large as you'd get in other places, but it was nice to eat Chinese food without feeling gross and hungry again after an hour. Maybe the better quality ingredients are more filling than the cheap ones. I would definitely order from here again. read more

Tried Peking Chef for the first time. Delivery has a $20 minimum which was fine since we ordered over $30. Delivery was quick. Food was average Chinese food. Nothing stood out as extraordinary. The best part was they actually have brown rice which seems to be difficult to find around here. read more

I live with two fat guys named Bill and Dave, they order from this place about five times a week - chowing down like maniacs. They can't get enough, I'm a medium size guy, and my girlfriend is a small sized person. We order about two times a month, much less than the fat guys, and we enjoy it. It's a little more high end - so if you want to seem like less of a scum bag to girls and not take them through the drive thru maybe try this. A tip, that my two fat, girl friendless roommates may want to take into consideration. I have another roommate, who is medium size guy, and has a very poor diet - mostly cold pizza and beer. He likes this place too, I think. Over all it makes fat guys who order Chinese all the time feel a little healthier because it's not as greasy - but still will put you into the regular Chinese Coma, that is experienced with most Chinese food. The girl was nice to us when we ordered too, and the delivery driver is awesome. I guess since Happy Family is gone, this is going to have to do. read more

I asked like three times for my food to be made to dine in and I was handed takeout, so I thought this is a little weird but maybe it's just how they do it. So I started eating and then the cashier came over and was like "it's fine this time, but you can't eat your takeout here" like.....okay then.....I specifically said "for here" and you gave me takeout. We had crab rangoon, general tsos chicken, and chicken lo mein. Everything was tasty, nice portion sizes, and good service.

Mott street it isn't, but here in bunyok land, it fills the void. Eric Lee runs a tight ship and a clean kitchen. You pay a little more than the cookie cutter buffet joints, but you get great tasting food food prepared in a clean kitchen, friendly service and a dining room with some ambiance. The house will cook you anything off the menu as well. They haven't been around nearly 40 years for no reason. read more
