Do I prefer the traditional sliced mango over a bit of rice? Perhaps. But I did enjoy tasting the mango and the condensed milk and a sticky rice together inside the coconut for a change. Because don't get me wrong, they were busy, but the food came out so fast & we had multiple servers filling up our water and ensuring we're doing okay. We were literally out of there in about an hour, but it wasn't because they were pushing us out, it was truly because everything was so quick. And I loved that strategy they used where we didn't have just one server assigned to us, which is probably why they are thriving here in Dallas. Overall, if you're craving Thai, I would recommend coming here.

Chicken or Beef or Tofu Lo Mein - yum yum yum. I love how there's a Pei Wei near my work so I can easily walk over and pick up my favorite noodle dish. With some sweet chili sauce to go with it - I'm totally set. It's also way more than you need for lunch so I get to save some for dinner :P But it's SUPPPPPPERRRR packed for lunch...I'm telling you it's a long wait to get your food and grab a table, so best bet is to get your food to go...and to phone in or order your food online...you do NOT want to wait or your stomach will be growling for hours... oh..and I LOVE their soda machine..it's so COOL!!! Pei Wei offers a decent selection of Asian-inspired dishes, and the menu has something for just about everyone. I ordered the Mongolian Beef with fried rice -- the flavor was good, but the portion felt a bit small for the price. Service was quick, but the staff didn't seem particularly engaged, and the dining area felt a little neglected (a few dirty tables, trash near the drink station). Not a huge deal, but it took away from the overall experience. It's a solid option for a casual lunch or takeout, but it doesn't quite stand out among similar places. Oh, My! After waiting on the phone for over 10 minutes to question the protein content of the salad I ordered, I was informed, "It is always made like that." Interesting. I got home and noticed the rice and a couple of sides were missing. Their staff tried calling but because my partner placed the order, we never got the calls. I ended up calling them and they said they'd noticed after I left and tried chasing me down and calling but didn't get an answer. They offered another item on them to make up for the hassle and I was able to go back and get the missing goods plus the freebie. The hostess apologized and even said the manager is happy to speak to me about the issue. Now that's customer service!!! I even confirmed they did try calling us so in this day and age you can't ask for much more. Their pad kee mow is delicious!

We ordered a variety of foods to sample. Thai style fried chicken wings, 6-piece, were crispy good. A little sauce on the side if you like. Fried wontons, 6, with ground chicken and shrimp were crispy with the sweet and sour sauce. Finished both off in just a few bites. Pad Thai with Tofu was stir fried which included rice noodles, tofu, bean sprouts, egg, crushed peanuts, were served with a lime with Thai tamarind sauce. Pad See-Ew with chicken was stir fried with big flat noodles, broccoli, egg, and soybean sauce. Both entrées were good. No leftovers tonight. It's always fun to dine with my granddaughter. We will be back for sure.
