If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I walked in there with my service dog and was refused to be in there with him. The lady brought out a paper that the store had and said that the ADA only recognized people who need guide dogs for the blind as a service animal I told her I had my papers and she was extremely rude to me with her response. The American with disability's act states that facility's are prohibited from discriminating against individuals with disabilities and she still refused my rights to have my service animal accompany me . read more

They have a HUGE collection of models to choose from, including the classic warships and planes. I needed a few parts that my local hobby shop didn't have, apart from finding the parts I needed this store was AWESOME. It's got tons of stuff for Airplanes and Cars and even model building. Literally from the floor to the ceiling. The guy that helped me really knew what he was talking about so that's always good, It's definitely worth checking out even if you don't buy anything. Unfortunately I write this review will all sadness. I have been a customer and referral source for Pegasus for over 20 years. About two weeks ago my older son ( 22) needed to purchase some parts for an RC Car he broke while using it. I of course recommended "Pegasus in Upland - they should have the parts no problem!". When my son arrived, he was treated as though he was the most unimportant person to ever walk in the store. The greeter was rude, the sales people perceived him as just another kid strolling through the store, and when he asked about parts it was the "they are over there" attitude. When he asked to see a car or two the salesman asked "do you really want to see that car?" -- after about 20 minutes of the poor attitude, he left without the purchase of the parts he needed ( they had them in stock ) and went to another store in Corona to get help. What they didn't realize is that he had the money to purchase an $850.00 RC car that day similar to the one he had been using because he liked it so much. This is not the service I have received in the past from Pegasus. I decided to call the manager today just to be polite and allow him to be aware of what was going on in his store. When I finally got ahold of the manager, Scott, and began to explain why I was calling I was cut off, received the same callus attitude and he even had the nerve to say "what do you want me to do?" with a snide expression. Quite frankly, I didn't want anything from him, I just wanted to help a business survive during this whole C-19 mess and appreciate all the business they receive. Maybe Pegasus will read this and do a double take on their longtime customers and understand they are what built that store and not the hundreds of people that are coming in for the first time in the last few months. I have shopped here for years as I enjoyed RC trucks and grew up with Lionel Trains. I brought my daughter in after Christmas so she could spend some of her Christmas money on a beginner drone. We were greeted by a completely friendly and helpful gentleman who not only answered questions but guided and instructed my daughter on how to use her new drone. This man was and is incredible! After crashing her drone she was devastated. We took the drone in for service and that same kind and helpful man once again went out of his way to make her smile and fix everything that had been broken. With so many different RC cars most of the time you don't know if your buying the correct part and there isn't anyone to ask without having to wait hours, days or weeks for an answer. I've been going here for 6 years now. The people here are very nice. I honestly don't understand some of the negative reviews here. I mostly talk to the guy in the model area and tabletop gaming and he is extremely nice. I mostly go here to buy model kits, and there is a tone of selections from. Every single military vehicle you can think of! Yes, I could buy them online but I like buying them here because I know I won't get scammed and it's supporting my local hobby shop. Pegasus has to be well known for their assortmant of R/C Cars, I mean THEY HAVE A FREAKIN' TRACK OUT IN THE BACK!!!?! But yeah, Pegasus is a pretty cool hobby store, more than just R/C cars, they got R/C boats, R/C planes. R/C helicopters, model trains, diecast cars, and an assortment of plastic model kits. Better yet, for the anime-mecha OTAKU, they actually carry a decent supply of GUNDAM model kits! This is rare since the only places that would stock such items are Anime Collectible Shops, or Anime Toy Shops. It's nice... :) For the car model enthusiast, they have plenty of imported car models too. Where else can you find a Toyota Estima (Previa in the US) model kit? Pegasus is a pretty sweet place. Wow, largest hobby shop I know of. Aisles and aisles of various hobby stuff - it's sort of like a model shop, an r/c shop, a games shop, and a kids hobby shop, rolled into one. There's an RC car track out back that I didn't visit this time but looked cool when I saw it before. Wish they would start carrying robotics and Arduino - electronic projects - as well. read more

This place has EVERYTHING. I mean just about everything. I love that they have a little bit for everyone. They had Hello Kitty for my daughter (and myself) and the large RC area for my husband. Only bummer....we called ahead to time to see if they had shells for my husbands crawler. There was a particular style that he wanted and we were told that they had it in stock. We got there (it isn't close either) and it turned out that it was missing something so we were out of luck. Really crappy when this place is quite a distance, plus the traffic. Other than that, the guys here really do look like they know what they're doing. I like that they wear mechanic shirts, it adds a nice little twist to the experience. The track in the back of the building is RAD. It was the first time I had seen it, my husband is a Wednesday night regular there and raves about how much fun it is. They were just redoing the track when we got there and it already looked really awesome. I'd totally come to take my Grave Digger for a spin. The inside is very clean, huge variety and a lot to look at and choose from. Kind employees also and ample parking with their own lot. Items here are a lot more pricey here than they are at other hobby stores. Be forewarned. read more

This place is amazing as I walk through the walls of toys, model cars, planes, helicopters....etc....etc..... This monstrous building is a totally awesome place that I literally enjoyed with my friend.. Then, I came to a really cool section ....remote control helicopters.... The salesman was articulate in operating a display helicopter and flying it along in the air with perfection. Wow....I was amazed...so I asked to try it...to which he replied....why don't you try the simulator.. Yeeeaaah...I can do that no problem. Well for the first minute...I was cool. I even managed to get a little audience watching. Lookit me....and then .......pilot error....I crashed into the field..... Hahaha...I deserved that one.... Ooooh well...I move on and then see this huge helicopter model... YIKES...this is huge..... These people are well educated in everything they showed me. They have pretty much everything but the only downfall is their website, the website is no help at all specially right now with whats going on.... i wanted to buy something but i dont know if they have what im looking for because 1st you cannot enter the shop due to health concern. I have been coming to Pegasaus for over 10 years with my now 17-year-old and 10-year-old son We have purchased a variety of items from them Model rockets were popular for a good six months and had good times and wide variety of prebuilt rockets as well as rockets we built together We currently own two electric/cars and a 8 year old Tmaxx Gas Over the years we have replaced every front end part imaginable on the slashes , along with numerous batteries, tires , replacement bodies and upgraded parts --the boys at Pegasus are very helpful a few of them know both my sons by name . I will say the store is usually very busy so hang out at the parts counter wait for someone to give you their time and once they are helping you they will get you what you need and send you on your way. read more

This store is amazing for models. However, they won't always have what you're looking for. For example, if you want a HGCE Strike Freedom model, you might not be able to find it because they don't have it at the moment. In addition, currently, the newer location of this store appears to have less models compared to the older location. Still, I would recommend coming to this store to see if the model you're looking for is there since they do have a lot models other than Gundam and Star Wars. read more

Really great customer service by all the staff I've encountered. Last week I took my son for some rc parts when he asked the employee to put on one of the parts he was getting, no complaints, he not only did that he also fixed several another things he came across without saying a word. We didn't realize at the time what my son was asking but the guy worked on it for at least twenty minutes. I am beyond grateful. My son was sent the rc vehicle and really doesn't know much yet about fixing them so every little bit helps. As a model railroader, I cannot recommend this shop. The employees are distinctly unhelpful,at least to model railroaders. Second, the shop is EXPLOITIVE. A few years ago the model rr manufacturers Thern and Roundhouse stopped producing their inexpensive freight and passenger car kits to force modelers to buy their much more expensive ready built ones. These kits sold for $2 to $4. PEGASUS BOUGHT STOCK FROM CLOSED SHPPS and sells these $2-4 kits for $16-19 each. Probably Pegasus paid the closed shop almost nothing for the kits. Pegasus people have a right to make a living but they have crossed over into EXPLOITING modelers. I'll NEVER SHOP HERE and I urge other modeler to avoid it also. DON'T REWARD THEM FOR JACKING UP PRICES UNREASONABLY. read more

I love this place! Its has kind of become my weekend home. Mainly because the racing scene here is awesome. The people are always friendly and willing to help and there is also some great competition. Scott runs a great race program and is very friendly to us newbies. The price are average for a hobby store, and they also carry almost every part for most big RC brands. I cannot speak for the model department but my father has never had any complaints so i trust that they are doing a good job as well. I would defiantly recommend this place, just be patient because they have there days where they are swamped and it may take a little longer to get help. So far so good. I remember years ago, it was hard to get service. But lately, the dudes in the RC section seem very happy to help and are very helpful. I recently called to check stock on a discontinued part for a long discontinued RC truck. Amazingly they had it in stock, I casually mentioned I'd come pick it up soon-ish. When I arrived, I mentioned the part, and the gentleman had set it aside and was expecting me. He grabbed it and handed it to me and I was on my way! Excellent experience. Yesterday I came here because my aunt gave my son a powerwheels that was brand new never used from 2001-2004 (was year made). It did not run due to the battery being so old and sitting so long. The man there ended up testing the battery and told me he could test a new one in the Jeep to see if it worked. Well it did and now the Jeep runs! The price of the battery was great too. Giving one star but would rather give 0. Went in to look around at Warhammer stuff and figure out what I need to buy. The older guy at the counter told me about a new release coming out and referred to the new army as "hermaphrodite" (who even USES that word anymore?!) and said "it's like you know, Caitlyn Jenner, gay stuff" and wouldn't drop how "gay" this new army is. Then he said to a customer (I think a friend of his) that he looked like a "ladyboy". SUPER inappropriate to say ever, really, but especially in front of customers. My husband also overheard him say some racist remarks to OTHER CUSTOMERS in the store! And apparently this is not new, after reading some of these reviews. I've been here several times and always head straight to the RC section (towards the left). Looks like there are some pretty bad experiences here, but the guys that are behind the RC counters have always been helpful, even when I bug them with n00b questions, and the ladies at the registers are always nice. Store is very well-kept and organized and has always stocked the items I've needed for my RC trucks. Can't wait to try out their short course track!
