My exhaust was the first thing I've had done and I'm scheduled to get my struts and breaks fixed a little later! I just want to start off with how much they are working with me to get these things done. I'm not rich at all and if I had a stable job I would have loved to take them up on there offer with the credit options. But luckily, they know how to prioritize what needs fixing and scheduled me out for when I'll have the money to have those things fixed. Secondly, I want to point out how fast they got the job done! Julie had told me to bring it in so that they could diagnose the problem for me and that they could schedule me next week if I decided to get it fixed with them. Well, sure enough I bought it in on Friday morning, that same morning they were able to tell me what was wrong and the same day they ordered the parts and got it fixed! I literally got my car back at 3pm and genuinely did not expect that! I saw a sign in their shop and it said that they value their time, well I guess they also value everyone else's time too! I don't want to get into the free things that they did for me because I don't want anyone trying to come rip these lovely people off, but I do want to say the things that they did for me, that they had every right to charge me for, has let me know that I'm dealing with some really good people and has made this place my go-to spot! These are good hard working people who respects the customers that comes through their shop, no matter if you have a lot of money or not! The prices are absolutely doable and they don't pressure you if you can't do everything right then in there! Lastly, I just want to point out that I am a single black woman and the reason I bring up my race and gender is because we all know it matters, especially when it comes to mechanics! But Temstad didn't make me feel judged nor taking advantage of whatsoever! They were so welcoming and knowledgeable! Not only did they triple check my car but they explained every decision & priority to me. I really love that they weren't condescending because I don't know a thing about cars. They simply just explained it so I can understand the what and why! Like I said, as long as Temstad is open & will have me, they will now be my go to place!

I was very comfortable. He gave me an estimate of the cost before he worked on my car. The rear brakes with calibers were replaced, front sway bar links, lock actuator, washer pump, oil change and filter. There was a quick turnaround on the time for the repairs. I was very impressed. His prices were fair and he answered all of my questions. I love how honest he is and how he called me to provide updates. He didn't have a part in store for my oil change and called me to provide me with the option to go elsewhere or wait until he could get a new part. I decided to wait because I trusted him. I had a service B performed on my Mercedes and asked that he also check my entire car to see if there was anything else that needed to be repaired. He later called me, found that my rear breaks were worn and provided me with a quote of the cost and I asked if he could replace them. On the day I picked up my car, Jerry was very friendly and took time to explain everything to me and even helped me replace my car license plates and put on my registration sticker. I highly recommend him if you're trying to find a diligent, honest and patient mechanic. I will continue to bring my car back to him and recommend him to my friends and family. I made an appt for an oil change but the lady who scheduled it had no idea how much it was. I made the appt and said I'd call for a price later. I called today and the owner answered... a very nice man (or so I thought). I asked how much the oil change was and after being put on hold twice, I was wondering what the big deal was to find out how much an oil change would be. Well.... I found out when he came back and finally told me an oil change was $70. I responded... really, for an oil change? He said yes. I said, I'm sorry I can't pay that please cancel my appointment. HE came back with..."Fine... find someplace else to have your oil changed and do NOT ever call back here for an appointment of any kind again" And he hung up. I really thought I found a great mechanic who is just around the corner from my house. I was referred to him by my brother who has had plenty of work done by him. One isn't supposed to swear on retreat, I guess, but I'm ex Navy :) checked reviews and distances and went here. WOW! Got an appointment early that afternoon, went in at the appropriate time, car was on the rack in 5 minutes and tire repaired and I was on the way back to the Abbey in 35 minutes. Fair price, immaculate facility, friendly and trustworthy people.

Service and honesty have dropped off at KM. Was recommended there but apparently there is no room…read morefor new customers. Service takes WEEKS and is often done wrong or not at all. Bring your own parts and have a list (even if its one thing) because your vehicle will sit there for weeks until you get a call saying, "what was wrong?" Or "it's done" when it is not. Charged for wrong parts, jobs are continuously done wrong. They claim they want to save you money, but they want to see you coming back over and over for the same problem. When you're constantly taking time off work because KM has had your car for almost a month, or when you have to keep coming back because the job was done incorrectly, that's not saving money. It's racking up man hours that you pay for, when the job was simple and ANY OTHER mechanic could do it in a day or two, at KM you'll be charged exponentially because man hours are through the roof. And when you have to bring it back because it was done sloppily and incompletely this does not save money either. Do yourself a favor, find another mechanic or do it yourself.
