apparently don't empty the garbage either

There are many things about Peet's that I prefer to Starbucks, however that being said, why do Peet's employees have to be so darn snotty? I came in to have a latte and a scone this afternoon and as usual they don't carry stevia which, frankly I don't understand. They only carry the rat poison. I wanted to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine so I asked for a rag to clean the filthy table. The barista apparently found this very annoying. I would've thought he would be thankful that I was doing his job for him. Good coffee, good enough scone but I prefer friendly service It really makes everything taste better.

When u ask for a latte and spending 4$ they dont fill all the way up Thats nonsense compared to other coffee shops its fill up and make your satisfaction And their lattes aren't that great taste Compared to Starbucks its better

Yin hao jasmine tea with honey and a Matcha green tea iced latte

I am really happy there is a Peet's in Scotts Valley. I used to go to the one in Capitola all the time and DT Santa Cruz just to get the Yin hao jasmine tea with honey...steeped for 5 mins then iced... Went with my daughter yesterday, on a Sunday.. it wasn't crowded...we were in and out pretty quickly...the food and pastries are expensive for the size and quantity of the food...they also have boxed up snacks with salami, cheese and fruit etc...and yogurt and granola....but I wasnt going to ask how much there were because the price of the small sandwiches, smaller than the palm of your hand, were $5...so I didn't bother asking. Staff were friendly...they made our drinks pretty fast and done right...only downfall...the parking lot...really crowded and hard to park and hard to maneuver and get in or out of the lot...so I parked at the Walgreens parking lot.

I frequented Abouche for my "coffee house" experience because I love the big window-covered sunny warm space and to support local business.

As we got off the freeway, she looked up and there was a coffee shop right down the street. He stopped in here for a quick bite. The two barista is helping us were incredibly helpful and patient since we had to read everything on the menu. I also loved how their store was set up and they sold local arts and crafts from the community! I love the community aspect here in Santa Cruz County! Perhaps she misread the menu, but she thought "egg stacker" was a sandwich because it was under the "bagel sandwich "category. But under the description, it does not say there's any bread. Lol, which is better for us since we're trying to be gluten-free for the day. I had an ice green tea and a salmon egg which was delicious and filling perfectly made egg with the right amount of capers and seasoning for each bite to have enough flavor on it. The green tea was perfect since it was 92°! I can't wait till we get to the beach! I was sad. They didn't have any nitro coffee, but I will definitely come back to try more pastries since it seems like they were out but then again we got there about 30 minutes before they closed. Lol.

They also have whipped cream which I enjoy when I wanna have a little cheap day and they had such cute art and tables to sit at to enjoy your drinks or pastries. I love a place that makes seasonal drinks and that are friendly and happy to serve you. They have a lot of options for things to buy whether it's dessert or a breakfast pastry. The location is super random. It's like on the side of like a bus stop area, but the coffee is so good and I can't wait till I'm in the area again to order more and actually sit and enjoy it when I don't have to rush to a meeting. Everyone was super nice and friendly and had a great morning vibes.

The pastries are delicious (we loved the ginger raisin scones). It's set back from the road so it feels a little bit hidden but not so hidden that all the tables were occupied on a sunny Sunday morning. The location is unique, set behind a church, which gives it a quieter, slightly off-the-beaten-path feel. It's a great stop if you're walking from nearby hotels or just exploring the area. The space itself is cozy with a relaxed, peaceful vibe. There's indoor seating, and on a nice day the patio is a great option. It's not a huge shop, but there's enough seating to sit and enjoy your drink. Drinks were really well done, my favorite was Our Frother. Everything tasted balanced and thoughtfully made. The atmosphere feels calm and welcoming, perfect for a slow morning coffee. Overall, a charming little spot with great coffee and a unique setting. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Santa Cruz.

They even have hot foods, like breakfast sandwiches. To top it off, they employ really inclusive and inviting staff that make you feel welcome. The order line may look long when you arrive if it's morning or noon, but it always moves quickly. The only downside is the hours are sometimes shorter than I'd like, so I've sometimes come at times it's closed, so I recommend checking online before driving over to make sure they'll be open when you arrive. TIPS: - The only semi-confusing part is you pick up the food on the LEFT side of the counter and the drinks on the RIGHT side of the counter. - The extras (lids, sugar, napkins, etc) are at a little station on the right side of the counter, close to the side doors. - There are stairs leading upstairs that have limited tables and a small couch, but if you can snag seating upstairs, it's a cool space bec it'll feel more private and you get to look down at the cafe. - Sometimes Loft holds special events, so be on the look out for flyers. The space is so cute with the different types of seating and plant areas that divide up the space. There are also a few outdoor tables and chairs for those who prefer Al Fresca. Loft is located behind Cabrillo College and has lots of parking.

They use single origin light-medium roast beans at their coffee bar and sell bags for home, too. I only use their beans at home. Their quad-shot latte with whole milk is banger. Ps. Lol I would always wing it and never take a picture of their store hours either! So I'm sure it was operator error! I am so happy for this particular brick and mortar because the first time I met the owner was on a bicycle on West Kliff or maybe East not to show I used to walk a whole thing during the pandemic! He was a really cool gentleman selling coffee on a nice looking bike and everything was clean, cut! Their menu items have changed and I'm glad he got more coffee companies to collab with! I loved my Stimulation Theory- it was smooth and had great frothy flavor with the perfect accent of cardamom! Everything within the Cafe is black and there a lot of joint seating areas. Granted when I got there, the individual spots were already taken. I sat an area meant for a larger group. I also enjoy the death metal music, grated it was played at the normal coffee shop volume level. Hee. So I've never actually HEARD that style of music at such a low decimal level, so it actually was quite comedic to me. At the same time, I'm glad it wasn't super loud like other rock shows I've been to! But still very much a vibe!! I can't wait to go back and try other drinks and pour overs that they have!! I can't wait until they get pastries or some sort of pop-up since I love my carbs! Hee
