Lots of seats. Staff were efficient and there's variety of sandwiches on the menu. A good place to do work or meet up with a friend.

    Waiting, waiting, waiting......

Had to wait 30 minutes for a mocha. People ordering after us were served first for similar drinks. Their excuse was that they had to complete the mobile orders first. Bad process, bad training, bad management. Coffee is great, however. Thats why we come here.

Can you spot the MOON??? Bc we have espresso running thru our blood!

January 2019 I love this location bc of the service, quality and that big TREE OF LIFE outside in the patio. We enjoy Hot lattes under that gorgeous tree and al Fresco! Many of you might not know the history behind the previous business that was at this exact same location. Or many may have forgotten and things quickly changed with the demand and newer generations. The following information was gathered from Wiki and I was pretty happy to share with y'all! Diedrich Coffee is a coffee company based in Irvine, CA. Its first coffee house in Orange County, California, was opened in 1972. It owns the American mall-based stores for Gloria Jean's Coffees. In Oregon, it previously ran Coffee People until nearly every location was bought and closed or converted into a Starbucks (Diedrich retained ownership of the Coffee People locations inside the Portland International Airport.) The history of the company started with Charlotte Diedrich inheriting a coffee plantation in Costa Rica in 1916. Her son, Carl Diedrich joined the business in 1946 and purchased a coffee plantation in Antigua, Guatemala, in 1966. The first coffeehouse, a roastery, opened in Newport Beach in 1972. Diedrich Coffee, a neighborhood coffeehouse, was founded by Martin Diedrich in 1983. He took over the retail, roasting and importing facets of the family business from retiring Carl. In September 1996, Diedrich Coffee went public. The company bought up Coffee People, a company that included the US Outlets of Gloria Jean's Coffees, in July 1999.[2][3] In June 2004, Martin Diedrich resigned his position at Diedrich Coffee. In September 2006, Diedrich Coffee announced its plans to close its company-owned retail stores, 40 of which were sold to rival Starbucks and reopened under that brand. Franchisee-owned stores remained unchanged. The company continued as a roaster and wholesaler of coffee beans.[4] However, a few independently owned and operated Diedrich locations remained open in California and Texas. On November 3, 2009, California-based Peet's Coffee announced that it was buying Diedrich.[5] On December 8, 2009, Vermont-based Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. trumped the offer from Peet's Coffee and agreed to buy Diedrich for $290 million. -------- Aside from the Peet's Coffee in Down Town Chicago, Wrigley Building, this is the second prettiest coffee house that Peet's has. Surrounded by nice shops and a beautifully sprung umbrella like mature tree, greets you at the entrance of the shop. The beautiful tree is surrounded by umbrellas, chairs and tables. But this is a very popular location and the seats are always full, so what I did was walked right next door to the nèkter Juice Bar and there is a few chairs and tables to use. Looks like the place is currently closed or soon to be open. The lattes are up to snuff and the vibe is chill with lots of computer working individuals. Nice area and overall a great experience. Way to go Peet's you never d

I have to write a post about my favorite coffee shop because they need to get back on their game. Peet's number one coffee blend is Major Dickson's dark roast. The last few times I've been in this store, they have not had it available (for daily drip). This morning, after flying 3,000 miles last night, the plane being 1 hour late, the 405 being being closed at Warner, and basically nothing open in Dana Point, guess what I was really looking forward to this morning? Yes, a nice hot cup of rich, dark roast from Peet's. They don't have ANY dark roast available this morning. I had to substitute a cafe Americano. I really would t mind doing that, but not every time I come here. Get it together Peets!

I visited Japan late last year and it was the best travel experience of my life, so to have a little slice of it here in my little town of Laguna Niguel is so special. And it's open early enough for the Finance Girls! The word that comes to mind is authentic. The barrels of beans waiting to be roasted in the front, the minimal menu, the pour-over style coffee for every cup, the chic industrious decor, super friendly service from every barista. It's hard for me to want to make coffee at home when I can have this! Worth every penny. Can't wait to gift my loved ones with bags of their freshly roasted beans. Do not sleep on Maméya!

Genuinely surprised I haven't left a review sooner. It's a small, quaint shop with a clean and mellow interior, relaxing jazz playing in the background, and aroma of freshly brewed coffee that always transports me back to Japan. Daisuke and his team greet everyone with such genuine warmth that you immediately feel welcomed. Their hospitality is unmatched, but what keeps me coming back is the consistency. Every drink is made with care, and they're always happy to take the time to explain the differences between their beans, recommend something based on your preferences, and answer any questions without ever making you feel rushed. You can tell they truly care about both their craft and their customers. I usually order the café au lait, and it's the only coffee shop where I'm confident in asking them to make it however they like. Every now and then I'll also pick up a bag of their beans to brew at home, and I highly recommend doing the same. They carefully help you choose from their wide variety, then grind the beans for you or sell them whole if you have your own grinder. Grinding fresh beans takes about 15-20 minutes, so if you're driving from farther away, I'd recommend calling ahead or placing an order through their website for pickup. The quality of the coffee speaks for itself, but what really sets this place apart is the experience. It's rare to find a coffee shop where both the product and the people are this consistently exceptional. Where most coffee shops tend to rush you out I think the difference here is that you genuinely feel welcomed. Wishing Daisuke and the entire team nothing but continued success. They deserve every bit of it. If you're looking for incredible coffee, authentic Japanese hospitality, and a place that genuinely cares about what they serve, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won't regret it.
