No more leaks and overpriced plastic parts that can only be replaced by the Kinetico dealer. I went with a 3M whole house water filter recommended by Ben, with all new copper plumbing and a new pressure regulator. I can change the water filter myself, which is recommended to do least once a year. I am confident of the new system and no longer worried about another Kinetico part failure. The 3M water filter recommended by Ben at Patriot Plumbing lead to immediate improvement in our water quality. No more chlorine taste or smell. This system uses a carbon block filter that works better for us than the water softener. I will use Patriot Plumbing again if and when needed.

On the scheduled day, Cameron arrived ready to go. We spoke further about my specialized needs due to my disabilities before he proceeded to thoroughly check out the multiple areas that needed to be addressed. Afterwards, we discussed his findings, suggestions, and my opinions. He really took the time to explain things to me. He was confident but not arrogant. As he was leaving, he told me that he would email the estimate the next day. The FREE two-page estimate was on time, very thorough, included many helpful additional notes, and several separated bids to give me options and allow for unforeseen issues. He even had suggestions for the additional contractors needed to completely finish the jobs. I have now scheduled the date for the work to be done. I am very excited to move forward. Although I am certain that I will be extremely happy with the results, I will update after all is finished. FYI: I had another recommended local competitor come out and do an estimate too. Six days later, I received an invoice in my mailbox for $146.34 (fee discussed in advance) with an estimate typed on it that consisted of one long vague sentence that did not even address all of the work.
