They seemed very professional and replaced a few tiles, making the shower look as good as new after the initial job. Had this been the end of the story this would be a 5 star review. However, over the following months, the grout has repeatedly come up, requiring multiple repairs. Grout Medic has come out three times to fix the recurring issues, but their response time for warranty work has been slow, which has been frustrating. Most recently, the grout has come up again for the fourth time within weeks of the most recent repair, and it took a few days to get a response we had a no show and then a reschedule to get the repair complete. Each time we have asked them to do whatever is necessary to prevent this from happening. Overall, while their initial work looked great, the durability of the re-grouting has been disappointing, and We are very hopeful, this repair looks much better and fingers crossed it does the job.

Feeling sadistic and wanted to waste more of my time following up on the non-existent customer…read moreservice from your apparently horribly run company. Just to get an initial estimate for a project, I've contacted you repeatedly via email and voicemail, which weirdly goes directly to your owner's personal phone, but never with a response. To which I've clearly outlined what it is we need done in terms of refinishing our kitchen and bathroom tile, but to no avail. I've given approximate measurement of said space, thinking maybe our project is too small for your company, asking that you please let us know either way. Again, nothing. I work in the customer service industry, which, granted, isn't technically what you are, and I am willing to give a long leash to companies for being too busy and not GETTING this part of the whole communication process...to a point. But at this point you just seem like you don't care about the money or are too lazy or anti-social to give a simple yes/no response. Either way, you didn't get our money and we ended up going with another option. And that option is what I hope more do which is learning how to DIY. YouTube is very helpful and I encourage those with the time and means to learn basic stone refinishing themselves. It's relatively easy, but time consuming, and I would have always rather paid more to have it done by one of their "professionals." But here we are... Anyway, gotta love a learning experience you would've actually paid for.

They were the only company to look at the job before providing an estimate. Josh was very professional and responsive. They were the best price also. They squeezed me into their schedule immediately. I am very grateful to them! Would absolutely recommend!

So I will start out, I have never had this type of service before. Caulking, grout, stone cleaning,…read moreall of this is totally new to me. However, I've worked with a lot of contractors recently, roof, floor, carpet, duct cleaning; so while I'm a rookie here I'm not a rookie to using house contractors. Things started great, showed up, quoted me a price; a high price, but even they will admit they are more expensive, but you know you get what you pay for. Customer service seemed to be there, and their example pics were great. Plus they said they'd throw in one of the bathrooms caulking for us (which in my mind made them more align with other people for price). Then things started to go wrong.....they came and were surprised I wasn't there, but my nanny was. Well yha, I kind of have to work to afford your almost $1K tab. They then listed out all the reason why that was bad, which were all reason I thought we covered...and to mention I thought it was covered I wasn't going to be there. To top it off, he seemed surprised my request was for him to do the master and the free shower that day. Free shower? Well that's a $300 value, just make sure you tip my guys nicely. Which first of all, it's a professional service, they normally aren't tipped and I hope your guys weren't punished you threw in something. Second, I didn't ask for you to do anything for free, you offered, don't offer it if you don't plan to honor it. I get home from work and find the caulking looks awful, it's moldy in places, and on one wall not even done. Which honestly, I was more worried about that then anything. The grout and the tiles polishing look great. I get the call for final payment, and more say nope come back, fix the caulking. I get a call the next day, we're on our way. Call if you're not going to be there. Which in my mind means: I am coming unless you say not too. Too bad for us, I was at work in meetings and couldn't call...so guess who didn't show up? The vm I got even sounded like the dude had no clue who I was or what work they were going to be doing. Then I get a text, "did you fix your light, they had to work in the dark". Ummm...I kind of hope you weren't depending on our heat light in 95 degree weather to provide you with light. Our AC sucks, and the heat lamp is only 30 mins on and then turns off. By the way, it was the heat lamp they were thinking broke...okay bring a light if the regular isn't enough or open the blinds. Not rocket science. Finally the next day they come back and do the caulking and it's a bit sloppy, on the tiles, done...but not exactly what I was expecting for the price. However, I left my phone at work...when I get back to it, 2 missed calls, one making it sound like I'm dodging payment. And then I write an email saying hey send me invoice for the work completed and I'll pay. Then I basically get an email back saying they need me to pay this AM and they don't know what they did...apparently they think I'm just going to say screw you guys and not pay. I'm not a nice person, but I'm not known for scamming people either. I was so annoyed with Juan actually had to have my husband call him up to pay...husband said he was nice until he said don't worry about coming back for the third bathroom. So long story short, caulking work sloppy, grout work and stone cleaning nice, customer service is scary bi-polar. I know I wouldn't want to use them again or wouldn't recommend them to a friend, but it could also be my expectations for the work was too high or maybe in the industry I got something good and should count my blessings - who knows?

We had Sir Grout come out and quote us on repairing the grout of our tile floor that had become…read morediscolored and cracked/crumbled over time. I had expected to be quoted on a re-grout job but the saleslady convinced me that removal of old grout was a bad idea because it would cause the tiles to become uneven. She said what Sir Grout did was much better - they applied an epoxy over the old grout that both filled and sealed it so that it, if it was cleaned with the right products, it would practically last a lifetime with virtually no maintenance. It sounded a bit too good to be true, but I decided to give it a shot. I paid the deposit, picked a grout color, purchased some of their recommended cleaner and waited for the work to get done - I was told it would only take about 4 hours or so and my floor would look "like new" (her words). The cost was just under $1k but I justified it in the maintenance costs I would save going forward. John was good about communicating with me and the worker, Olin, who performed the work was pleasant an professional. The job was done in the time promised but the final result was very disappointing - although the major damage was repaired there were still a lot of cracks and missing chunks of grout that were still apparent. When John came to inspect the work, I told him that I was expecting much better results and that my floor didn't look remotely "like new" as promised. When questioned about the epoxy, I was told that they had done some simple grout spot repairs and a re-coloring. Apparently the saleslady had been confused and had sold me a service that cost more than what I was paying. Because epoxy wasn't used, the "maintenance free" aspect was out the window and I could expect to re-seal the grout every year or so. I was over a barrel at this point since work had already been done but fortunately John agreed that the work was unacceptable and said they'd come back and do a re-grout of the floor (the very thing their saleslady warned me against) to fix all the problem areas so at least the "like new" promise would be fulfilled. They tried to charge me more money but I refused - you can't fault them for trying but it left a bad taste. Olin returned but only did a partial re-grout. He asked me to look for any areas that didn't seem right and I did my best to point out areas that were obviously bad. However, I expressed concern that the touched up areas weren't going to blend since you could see ridges of new grout in many areas and the color of the new and old grout was different. I was assured that the patched areas would blend and the color of the new grout would lighten up to match in 48 hours. Fast forward 48 hours and you could still see grout ridges and the colors didn't match. As it turns out, Olin was supposed to re-grout everything but only did spot patches due to a misunderstanding. I called John and he agreed to send Olin out a third time to re-color all the grout to match. At this point, I was frustrated and just wanted the whole thing to be over with. So, am I happy with the final results? Not really - it felt like a bait and switch and I don't feel I received the job I initially paid for. My floor does look better than it did but I wouldn't say it looks "like new" and definitely looks like it's been patched with varying levels of quality in different spots (see below photos for a few examples). I don't feel the end result justified the cost and based on all the misinformation and miscommunication I witnessed, I wouldn't use them for any further work or recommend them to others.

I was pleased to see automated text messages confirmed the job and described what to expect. Rino does a great job of blending multiple communication modes seamlessly (Yelp, person's cell, automated text number). This is a rare skill that should not be underestimated. Unfortunate there was an emergency and I had to cancel the job in the middle of the night before the service (see my review on drywall lol). Then the emergency was taken care of sooner than expected, so I contacted Rino again. We rescheduled service for the following day. An arrival window was provided; they arrived promptly. Ali did a walkthrough and we showed him a couple of stains. They began the service. There was a team of two, Ali and Ivan. Ali performed the stain treatment (stains came out!) and Ivan the all-over carpet cleaning. Both were friendly and professional. I will certainly hire them again.

The 3 stars is because I was given an all in price of $375 here on Yelp but when the tech arrived he told me it was going to be $435. I told him the price I was given was $375 so he gave a discount that knocked the price down to $391. I didn't want to go back and forth on the last $16 and I shouldn't have had to. I was given a price and I booked the service based on that price so it should have been honored. I added pictures of my receipt and the message stating what the price would be.
