I was pleasantly surprised to find the place was not thronged, even though I had waited much longer than I normally do to begin doing laundry on a Sunday. The laundromat itself is somewhat difficult to get into because you have to go down some winding roads and then it's situated on a hill so you have to drive up and into a hilly parking lot, Not fun, leaving can be difficult because Illinois road speed limit is about 85 The laundromat itself is laid out tolerably well, can be a bit cramped when there are people using the machines around you. Folding Tables are clean and plentiful. Machines new and I only saw 1 broken dryer. Can't say the same thing for the vending machine for food, which had a bunch of Post-it notes on it that just said " don't touch me". I can so relate. And there is an old school laundry detergent and softener dispenser for 1.25. I saw no staff around, I only saw the public, such as myself, a mixed bag of people doing enormous amounts of loads of laundry and people doing a backpack full. I did not have to wait for any machines and overall I would say that the experience wasn't terrible. I would give it 7 out of 10 bubbles.

In the past five years, my husband has had 2 or three shirts that have come back with…read more4 inch rips in them, 2 that were ground up like they went through some gears, 2 that came back with ink stains all over them, and 2 that had the collar buttons ripped completely out of the shirt. I can get stains out of shirts. I can sew buttons back on, but I draw the line at re-weaving cloth. You take clothes to the cleaners to save time and that's not happening here... They offered a pro-rated cash refund for the damage, but less than full market value, and we couldn't have the shirts back. If we took the shirts, we would get no compensation for the damaged shirts.

Larger ones available. Dryers are $.25 for five minutes. The facility is clean and well maintained. Lots of signage about rules. Also, if it matters to you, the only "Art" on the wall was a big poster advertising United Healthcare. Stocked vending machine for snacks and laundry supplies. I give it about an 8 on the depresh-o-meter owing to the quality of the decorations, (see above). Cons- top 40 pop music blasting loudly. Pros - the guy who owns the car sales lot also owns this place, so he's on premises. All the machines were working order.
