I made a slight mistake and didn't read everything that came on the sandwich. As an avid carnivore I was a little disappointed to find out it was vegetarian, but that was before I tried it. The combination of the creamy mozzarella, tomato and balsamic was fantastic. It was probably one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. Im hoping the next time we stop in they aren't out of their salty bread to try with it. My wife tried the turkey, Brie and apple butter sandwich. Her's was my favorite of the two. They lightly toast the sandwich so everything is warm and creamy. The apple butter pairs nicely with the Brie and the smokey turkey. I'd recommend both of our sandwiches but if mine was an 8/10 hers was a 10 for me. I also had their house salad on the side. It wasn't anything extra special but the cranberries were a really nice touch to take it to the next level. If I had even one complaint to make it would be the hours. I'm sure they close at 2 because most people because they're a brunch spot, but with the quality of their food i would eat it for any meal of the day. I can't recommend it enough honestly.

Seemed like it was mostly to prevent outside alcohol but was a blanket statement for all drinks. I thought it was odd I had to take my hot tea back to my car. Very very mid. I got a salmon savory crepe. The salmon was dry, almost white in color and just seemed old. The crepe itself was chewy and hard to cut. My husband's wrap was decent. Kids plates were also decent. I liked that you "created" their plate from 3 categories or options. Overpriced for quality and portion. Once our food arrived there was a swarm of gnats that came with it. Our table was wobbly so cutting any food shook the entire surface. Our toddler caught on to this and wanted to rock the table the whole time. So between holding the table, trying to cut food and swatting gnats away.. it just wasn't a good experience all together. Our room in the lodge was small and very tight compared to most hotel rooms these days. There was visible dust in the heater unit, and in the corners on the floor, and there was mold in crevices in the shower. On top of that, the swimming pool seemed really filthy and the water was murky. On the flipside, the fancy restaurants seemed lovely, though quite expensive. We only dined at the coffee shop and other nearby restaurants. If you are going to Oglebay, I'd recommend staying at another nearby hotel.
