We took our daughter out for breakfast this morning, and out of everything she wanted tutors chicken strips. So we drove 20min out of our way to get it. When we got our order, the chicken strips were hard as a rock and we aren't the kind of people who complain, but my daughter was hungry and about Chip a tooth! So my husband took them back inside, only to be told that he wouldn't consider them burnt and if they cooked them again, they would just turn out the same way... now we've been there probably 20 times and got chicken strips and they were amazing!!!! not anywhere near burned so we know that they CAN be cooked better!!! I don't know if he just didn't want to do it or just didn't feel like it or what, we crumbled one in our hand, so instead of making it right he acted like he could not make them any differently which I'm pretty sure most foods can be cooked without burning! He gave us our money back and didn't even let us keep the food that they were gonna throw away anyways! All he had to do was just offered to remake it. That's all... it would've costed him way less to just make me a few chicken strips than to lose a customers who spend $ there frequently! This place is always packed and for good reason! We came for a later breakfast one Saturday morning and had a pleasant interaction with the staff working that day. From the woman that took our order, to the employee who brought our food and bussed our table, everyone was friendly. This was my first time eating here and I was recommended the little tater. I love sweet things, though, so I added an apple turnover to my breakfast and ordered a chocolate milk as my drink. The little tater's name is deceiving because the portion size is definitely still large. I made my way through as much of the crispy potato, cheesy egg, and crunchy bacon bowl as I could and still had half leftover. They warmed up my apple turnover and it was flaky and fresh. The biscuit was perfect; crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and warm enough to melt my butter. The dining area has a good amount of seating available and was clean. Tudor's is worth the drive! this Tudor's is exceptionally good! great selections along with favorites. my fave is the sausage gravy and biscuits! huge portion as you can see from picture! that is a single! piping hot and fresh too! the biscuit was huge and crisp and the gravy was the right consistency! I am visiting Steubenville Ohio for my college graduation from Eastern Gateway Community college. As I drove from Pittsburgh airport I saw Biscuit World. I decided to come in and I ordered the "cream beef on biscuit" as I know it from a child when my daddy used to make; a family of 5 kids, breakfast. Everyone else call it biscuit and gravy. I also ordered the pappi. Omg! These biscuits are HUGE! And DELICIOUS. I have never had such a meal that filled me in one serving. I had to take the pepperoni biscuit to my hotel for the next day. I am so glad I don't live here because I'd eat here every week and continue to not lose weight. I really enjoyed this restaurant. The employees are a bundle of joy and are very helpful. Upon entering the establishment, we were greeted by the smell of good cooking and welcoming atmosphere that transported me back to a simpler time. From the retro leather seating to the elegant drapes, the decor sets a wonderfully nostalgic ambience. We ordered our meals from the excellent selection of biscuits, breakfast, and everything in-between, all at a price point that made our wallets feel like those of oil barons. The service was impeccable, and our food arrived expediently. Indeed, it felt like fine dining - and the meal, I dare say, surpassed this standard. The biscuit was hearty and light at the same time; it was perfectly buttery without crumbling away. The eggs were fried just right, each strip of bacon was delectably crispy, and the gravy tasted like grandma's. Dining on delicious grub, in such a lovely setting, among choice company, we enjoyed ourselves to the highest degree, and the experience is one I will never forget. This is my favorite location when coming to West Virginia. We're from California and it's a must eat when we arrive. The biscuits are amazing!!! I order the biscuits and graving and the shaved ham melt with a sweet tea. We normally go with multiple family members and everyone always enjoys its and is always satisfied with what they order. Food is fast and the restaurant is always clean. We hear it's always busy but we're always there early so we haven't had any problems getting a table. Great food and the price is even better. Whoever came up with the idea to build a restaurant around a biscuit is a flippin' genius. And when it comes to biscuits, you'd be hard pressed to find a better biscuit than those made by Tudor's Biscuit World. I've been here twice and both times I received delicious, piping hot biscuit sammitches with friendly service. You ever see those disclaimers on packages of food that some assoiciate with diet-friendly ingredients that say "not a low calorie food." Well, these biscuits are not a low-anything food. They're not low in calorie, fat, carbs, or taste. In fact, one biscuit by itself, according to the nutrition information on their website, packs a whopping 72 carbs. If you're a type I diabetic (or any type of human) you probably shouldn't eat these biscuits without preparation, but hot diggity dang, they are SO DARN TASTY! Here's what I do when I plan my visit: I ride the panhandle trail from the Allegheny/Washington county line in PA all the way to the Tudor's biscuit world. That's about 50 or so miles total going there and back. Probably not enough to burn off an entire biscuit, but makes it more like a regular person's meal :-) I've had the Thundering Herd, Duke, or Rocket, all delish. In fact, this restaurant has made it such that I can seldom eat a breakfast sammitch WITHOUT a hashbrown on it (even when I make my own.) I don't mind shlepping out to Weirton, WV now and again for one of these scrumptious biscuits, but it certainly works better to prevent the size of my ass from increasing when I offset the calorie content with some strenuous exercise. read more

I've been here once before to the one in Charleston. And I loved the biscuits. The other day I took a trip down to the Ohio River to give it a go again. Weirton is in the north panhandle of WV, a narrow strip of the state that is sandwiched between PA and OH. So I was actually here around lunchtime and I had the classic WV style hot dog with chili and slaw. I took a biscuit with me to go. The one with country ham. Soooo good. The biscuit is so fresh, delicious, and flaky. Seriously gives Biscuitville (another chain exclusive to NC) a run for the money. It was a great day- I explored the little river towns where my grandma grew up and drove down from Weirton to Wheeling (which really needs to have a Tudor's in my opinion). Always an excellent meal when you come here. Whether it be breakfast or lunch, I have yet to try the dinners but my goodness. I cannot say I have ever had a bad meal at biscuit world. There is always a line at this location but it moves quick. The staff is always nice, the food is always hot, the dine in area is always clean and the prices are cheap. What more can you ask? I went though the drive in at 10:52 this morning to pick up a double order of biscuits and gravy got back home close to two to put my biscuits in a baggie to surprise my husband on Sunday his off day with favorite thing biscuits and gravy. I opened to container to find soggy biscuits with gravy all over the top I'm 40 miles round trip from this place. I've called had to leave a message and haven't heard back from anyone. So disappointing!! Update on my review. I did get a call the same day and this is standard way of fixing the biscuits and gravy and the owner Chris took my name and said come by and they would fix me up right. Worst service I've ever experienced, only restaurant in town that forces people who walk in with to go orders to go outside and stand in the drive thru. Are you kidding me? I was told after paying to stand outside, space only by the door or in the drive thru to stand, and then they have the nerve to yell at me for standing by the door where it is safest. I can get hit or infected by people parked inches away from me. McDonald's and Burger King don't require people to go stand in the drive thru. I demanded a refund and got a really shitty attitude for it, being told it was my fault and not their fault. I used to eat in several times a week, you'll never ever ever going to see me enter this place again. I just wanted food, not to be systematically endangered and shamed. We were drawn to this place based on the name alone. I mean come on, how could you skip something called Biscuit World? This location of the regional chain was very clean and the staff were down-home-how ya doin'-friendly. Our food was served up HOT and fast. We all had biscuits -- they also have eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast and pancakes on the menu. Mine was a simple sausage, egg and cheese number. A HUGE biscuit with a fried egg and good old 'merican cheese. The biscuit was tender, flaky, and tangy with buttermilk. The egg was cooked fresh and perfectly. The hubby had a ham and egg biscuit and the kid had the full order of biscuits and gravy. Another reviewer found the ham too salty but we didn't think so. Maybe this has been corrected? The full order of biscuits and gravy was gigantic. Two of their HUGE biscuits topped with easily 3 cups of gravy. The kid at most of it. He got all of the biscuits at least! The gravy is pretty good, creamy and studded with lots of sausage, but I think it's made with powdered milk. So while it's not quite as good as homemade, it's still a lot better than any other fast food gravy I've experienced. One of those great local breakfast/lunch places you might never try if it weren't for a sign on the highway. Staying nearby so I was driving right by. Yum. Huge biscuits. Not too filling. This place was right down the road from the pan Handel trail. Rode out here with some friends and decided to stop here for breakfast. On pulling up there's no space to lock up your bike, just to know this place is listed as a backer to who helped build the bike trail. So I was kinda mad off the back being I had to keep a close eye on my bike while sitting down to eat. On walking in I was not greeted as it was kinda busy. The menu offerings where nice being there was so much to pick front for a cheap rate. I settled on the biggest meal I could find and got the full morning breakfast meal. It was pretty good I gotta say. The eggs where dippy, the apples where insanely good, the sausage gravy wasn't over salted, the biscuit was fresh and warm. Overall I just thought it was delicious and I definitely wanna go back. But next time I think I'll drive being the bike lock up issue. The reason for one star is being you can post your name really big on the sign on the bike trail as a sponsor and bike restaurant and then not have outdoor seating or a bike lock up. welcome to west virginia. biscuit world is basically a mildly classy mcdonalds with an emphasis on biscuits. the workers were almost rude in a sense but simultaneously helpful and easy to converse with... again, i think it's a west virginia thing. an employee was trying to get by me but i didn't notice so my friend pulled me back and instead of stepping back i just bent completely backward, which was really funny and the employee said, "next time pay attention so you don't have to get manhandled by your friend" and we were all laughing a lot. i sufficiently enjoyed my biscuit, but fam, dunkin is right around the corner. read more
