Our family went to The Cheese Melt in Wheeling, WV because we have never been there. The environment was comfortable and the staff were friendly. They had a great beer selection and the food menu you was unique to the restaurant. There were a variety of grilled cheese variations, burgers, sandwiches, and more. Nice little place with great choices. I had the shroom melt. Shaved ham, mushrooms and grilled onions with baby Swiss cheese. Crispy and delicious. Hubby had the shroom smash burger. Mushrooms, grilled onions , cheese and mayo. We opted to swap chips for onion rings ($5 up charge). Each! Their buffalo sauce was so good I had to order another(.47 each sauce) but worth it.

Warwood location. We ate inside. Food was decent but kinda surprised that they served bagged chips instead of making their own. Chicken on the southwest salad was ice cold. Place was clean. I ordered the same drink as the lady beside me but my drink was presented plain with no lime garnish like the other. Mushroom burger was good. Nothing special to add about this place.

These folks are doing it right! Been here several times now and nothing disappoints. Anything off of their menu is well thought out and a welcomed change of pace from the areas normal fare. Quality craft beer selection and an all around good vibe. Congrats to them!!

We absolutely loved our toasted cheese sandwiches. My husband ordered The Beele and I had a Gouda, Gorgonzola, bacon, apple, and kale sandwich on GF bread. The staff was friendly. The ambiance isn't nice (peeling paint), but it didn't detract from our experience at all. read more

The Cheese Melt has a diverse and good menu of sandwiches, wraps, salads, wings, and burgers. Their soups are always good, especially the tomato. Service is good and you may catch one of the owners around to discuss current events. read more

Visited 3 times now and has not disappointed yet. Each time we have tried something new and all has been so delicious. It's a cute space with a few bar seats and a nice patio. All the staff is so friendly. We've tried the mushrooms with chipoltle ranch and mozzarella sticks with figarettis sauce Pizza melt is tasty, create your own grilled cheese and smash burgers are delicious. read more

If u r a sandwich lover, this is the place. Great combinations. Loved my Caprese melt and vegetarian friend had gluten free bun with portobello mushroom and caramelized onions. Service was good and they even have beer and liquor. Clean and cozy. Sit at a table or at the bar. Friendly place. Will definitely visit again. Take out available if you're in a hurry. read more

Stopped by for lunch and just so happened to show up on a day where there was live music nearby. Beautiful day and good food. Definitely didn't want to go back to work! The sandwiches are pretty big for grilled cheese, and if you get a specialty sandwich they're definitely packed full of good, fresh and largely local ingredients. I had the Caprese and it was really good all sandwiches served with a dill pickle spear, or you can make it a meal and add chips and a drink! I went there for the first time and it was awesome. I happen to be driving by and saw the truck park and quickly didn't you eat to go back for a grilled cheese. I can't remember the name of the one I got but man was it good it was built on Texas toast and had blue cheese and bacon. For the size of sandwich you can certainly serve two meals. It also included chips as well which is not even necessary. I chatted with the owner for a while and what a cool guy. Started following him on Facebook and he sure knows what he's doing for small business. The updates daily on his location and even post my Facebook video. I love supporting small businesses like this guy and will be back every time I'm in town. read more

History

Established in 2014.

A few years ago, my wife and I took a short vacation to Telluride, CO for the annual Blues and Brews Festival. The house we stayed in was about 4 blocks from the actual concert venue so each day we would walk to and from the show. Along the way we ran into a food vendor who was selling grilled cheese sandwiches. Not just any grilled cheese sandwiches--these were grown up grilled cheese sandwiches--basically the most killer grilled cheese sandwich you can imagine! Needless to say we were sold! So, how did this yummy little sandwich completely change my life? The answer is actually very simple. I saved up $2,000, searched online for a food cart that was within at least 100 miles of my town--found one, drove out to look at it and towed it back home. We now have 6 seasons of melt flippin' fun under our belts! We have a following on Facebook of over 5,500 people and that keeps expanding everyday! See ya at the window!

Established in 2014 we have been slingin' gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches all throughout the Tri-State area. My wife, Tricia and I have 2 little boys and one daughter. All 5 of us live in Wheeling and are from Wheeling. We created this business because we have a passion for quality food and love being a unique local business! Atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. My go to is the smash burgers but I've ordered the melts too, all delicious as hell. Not terribly expensive. I usually order a lot when I go, or it definitely would be cheaper lol. I've made the commute over there many times from different places in the Ohio valley and it's worth it every time.
