I was surprised to see negative reviews for this practice. We moved to WH and Pedicorp was very accommodating to take on new patients. Dr Perks and Dr Duffy are both excellent as well as the NP there and I have never had any trouble getting a sick appointment same day. They send multiple appt reminders including texts and they went above and beyond recently to get me a physical appointment for my son who needed one quickly. This is the third practice I have used for my 2 boys due to a move and dissatisfaction with the first so I have been able to see the differences in practices. This one is well run and I would recommend to anyone in the area. They also have Sat hours!!! read more

I wouldn't recommend. The front desk people have such a snarky attitude. They make you feel like you are bothering them with any request or question. The practice doesn't feel personable at all. The office is so drab. I don't like talking poorly of doctors, so I won't write anything of Dr Perks, but I will just say that if you must go here, I'd try to book with Dr. Duffy. But I don't know if it's worth dealing with the front desk staff here. The only positive was that they fill out forms for free. read more

As far as the providers go, I'd give it a 5. I've never had concern with the pediatricians or medical assistants. Unfortunately, the office manager, HEIDI O is trash. I arrived to an appointment within the 15 min time frame allowed by insurance and learned that the provider would not see my child. When I asked to speak with the provider, the office manager was sent instead. During my conversation, she stated there was a pattern of missed appointments in a letter sent to me FROM THREE YEARS AGO IN 2020. The missed appointments were between 2019 and 2020. As if missed appointments during a pandemic and no concerns since shows a "pattern." I asked for a copy of the late arrival policy, waited 15 minutes, and was given a print out of the website info stating arrival after 10 minutes will need to be rescheduled. I was accepting of this and rescheduled. When I asked for her name the office manager stated HER NAME WAS HEIDI O AND O WAS HER FULL LAST NAME. Extremely unprofessional. And a flat out dumb lie. I don't know if she was fearful of identifying herself or what but I do know that it's piss poor for someone dealing with sensitive medical information to be unwilling to identify themselves to a patient or parent within a practice when asked. read more

We brought our 3 children to Pedicorp (Windsor specifically) since my oldest was born 16 years ago. We decided to have my older two boys start going to see our family PCP vs Pedicorp (this decision was done after multiple, over the course of years, disappointing to say the least, experiences at Pedicorp). My youngest had been seeing Dr Kim and we liked her and her team but after we moved our boys we got a rude letter letting us know that our daughter was no longer welcome at the practice! We were completely shocked. With time and space we have come to appreciate the fact they did this because as much as we like those that cared for her, ownership/management is clearly not valuing relationships and overall health. We did call to ask (their other location) if this was standard practice and no one had heard of this ever happening before. There is more I could say and if you would like to discuss I would be happy to if it helps you avoid the disappointing experience we have had over the years with this office (Windsor specifically). read more

Took my daughter here for a couple of years as it was the only place in town accepting new patients when we moved here. Unfortunately I was not impressed. I don't like the physical office, tucked way back in a claustrophobic office building. The front office staff was never very friendly. You always felt like you were bothering them. Our doctor looked like she did not take very good care of herself, so it didn't inspire confidence in how well she could care for my child. And last time we went, the doctor coughed into her hands several times and then right afterwards put her hands on my child to examine her! I was grossed out. We've relied on Dr. Duffy to see us through very complex medical concerns and she has been just...amazing. Nurse Jessica is a gem who also brings skill and compassion to those in her care. We have received exemplary, consistent care for years, but these last few years-including Covid- when we really needed (and continue to need) expertise and a willingness to problem-solve, Dr. Duffy led the way. read more

So, I wrote an honest review hoping this practice would realize that they were alienating people with the office staff's lack of friendliness and personality. It was not to be. I received a letter stating that my daughter was no longer welcome in the office. She was being discharged. This is a child on mental health meds with only one month left on her prescription. They do not care if she spirals into depression without her medication. There are very few pediatricians who are taking new patients and this just highlights the fact that they do not care about the children they treat. This place treats people like garbage. They don't care about the children nor the parents. For them this is a pure business. Heidi in the front desk hung up on us several times and told us she owns the place and will do whatever she wants. Impossible to get the real owner and explain how terrible the experience is. I've been bringing my children here for over 20 years and have always had very competent, professional, and caring experiences with the entire staff. When our family got hit by trauma and its residual effects, Dr. Duffy was truly exceptional in her compassionate and productive listening skills that helped, and continue to help, our children heal and move forward. Very bad office staff. It is hard to get a hold of them and when you do, they're rude to you. Office hours are terrible. they open at 9:15 and even then, you can call up until 11:00 AM and the answering service will still pick up saying their phones are off. When you actually get an appointment, there are at least 3-4 women just sitting behind the counter, eating popcorn, all just looking like they have nothing to do. I wish the doctors there would staff their office better. Even the doctors don't give advice about anything. They're only good for writing prescriptions. I hate it. read more

Saw Christina Solomito FNP-C. She did not introduce herself when she came in and is not very confident in her skills. If you do not have confidence, consult with one of the docs in the practice. APRN's cannot practice solely in CT until they work under the direction of a physician for 3 years. Christina made the situation worst for my child and did not listen to concerns. Pushed wax further into ear and could not view ear drum to tell if there was an infection or not. treated it as swimmer's ear when in reality it can be an outer and middle ear infection. I miss the original group of docs that started this practice years ago. The RX was not sent immediately to the pharmacy and everything is electronic now. We are still waiting on one RX to be changed because our insurance does not cover the brand name. We called the office numerous times without any luck. Poor customer service. read more

Customer service is terrible. I took my daughter in for her 4 month check up and received a bill after the fact. When I called, I was told that Dr. Perks had spent significant time discussing an issue. She had initiated the discussion, leading me to believe that she actually cared. We have since switched to a new office and are much happier. read more

I had a terrible, terrible experience with this practice. I brought in my asthmatic teenage daughter and asked for a flu shot as she was brought back. Nobody from the practice ever comes out to talk to a waiting parent, let them know how the visit went, or ask about concerns. My daughter came out alone and we went home. I discovered later she never got the shot. I called to ask why and the receptionist became bizarrely hostile and rude and hung up on me. I called back and left a message asking to for a call from Dr. Perks. Instead someone from the business office called back, was incredibly unprofessional, blamed me, blamed my daughter, told me it was my responsibility to make sure my request was followed through and acting as if the parent is supposed to be the health care professional. I do not recommend this practice to anyone. Nobody I spoke to expressed any concern whatsoever for my daughters health or showed any interest in providing her with care. read more

Pedicorp was not my first pick of pediatric offices when I first moved to West Hartford 2 and a half years ago, but my child was sick and none of the other offices I called would schedule a new patient appointment for me. I can't remember what the reason was that they wouldn't see my child but I do remember being surprised that getting her an appointment was proving to be so difficult. Anyway, the last office I called was Pedicorp and they saw her that afternoon. I haven't been anywhere else since. My children and I feel extremely comfortable with Dr. Perks. The level of care and professionalism she shows is almost identical to our amazing pediatrician we regrettably had to leave behind in New York. At this time I can't imagine taking my children anywhere else. read more

My kids are 17 and 18. They have always been treated by Dr Fadakar and the wonderful doctors and staff at Pedicorp. They are medical professionals and have excellent people skills. They relate to the children and parents. The office staff have always been friendly and compitent. The doctors are on time for appointments. They even have a nurse available to answer questions by phone. I would highly recommend this office. I read the other reviews posted. I have never heard of Dr Perks. I have confidence in Dr Tilak, Dr Fadakar, and Dr Duffy. I trusted them with my children for 18 years. read more

I never write reviews but have had such a different experience with Pedicorp than the other reviewers I felt compelled to say why. We interviewed several local doctors before our first daughter was born and were impressed with Dr. Duffy from the beginning. She always answers all of our question (which are plentiful) and we never feel rushed. She is knowledgeable about emerging standards of care and follows up on any appointments our children have with specialists to make sure she is aware of what ocurred and to see if we got our questions answered and understand test results. The staff in the front always recognize us and our children. You can always ask to have a doctor call back when you call with concerns (rather than the nurse) and you always see a doctor on your visits (unless it is just for a flu shot). We have also seen Dr. Perks for sick visits and she was very patient with me over the phone when our 10 mo old developed a bronchial infection while we were on vacation. I couldn't recommend them more highly. read more
