We called a number of businesses whose response was, "We don't do that small a job." However, when we called Chris, he immediately set up an appointment. He was a few minutes early for our appointment, and he listened intently to what we were planning. He waited until we had said our piece and then asked if he could give some suggestions, which were great. He confessed that his team was working on another large job in the Sacramento area, so we knew our project wouldn't be immediate. He gave us a VERY reasonable quote, so we said, "Let's go." In less than three weeks, Chris and his team were at our door, right on time! We reviewed the project, and his team went to work. These men were fantastic, working in the growing summer heat until the project was completed. Chris made sure we knew that we could call him with any questions we had.

When they did respond, the guy was unable to commit to a start date which was a RED FLAG for me! Plus his company reviews reflected my own experience just getting the guy to pick up the phone or come by my house. Very poor business practices! I checked the yelp reviews for landscaper designers and consulted with a friend who recommended calling Terrain Creations. What a difference, Juan actually answered my phone call, came by my house promptly and worked with me on designing something for my front yard. From start to finish, Juan and his crew were there on time everyday, removing the old yard, repairing the sprinkler systems, planting new plants and installing artificial grass. AND... the turf looks amazing! So realistic. My yard looks so great I've received compliments from all my neighbors on our street as well as a "shout out" in our HOA newsletter. One neighbor even told me I "won the award for best yard on our street!"! After I had signed the contract, the wind and rain caused half of my entire custom fence to fall down. So many others had the same problem that it was impossible to find someone to replace it . Gabe stepped up and told me he could do that too. He gave me a very competitive estimate so I was thrilled to hire he and his crew to do the job as well . It turned out great! He went above and beyond to do an excellent job on both my yard and my fence. Out of 5 stars, I'd give them 6+!!!!

Our consult with John was thorough, and he really listened to what we wanted. He made some suggestions, and let us know the approximate pricing right upfront so we knew what to expect on the written estimate. The written estimate included pricing for each element. We appreciated this because we clearly understood the costs, unlike other estimates we had gotten beforehand. The total price matched our expectations, and we felt very comfortable that we were getting a fair and transparent quote. Once we agreed on the plan, we scheduled the work for about a month later. John walked us through how to put plants on hold at the nursery and explained everything else we needed to know. Communication throughout the process was very clear and consistent. On all the work days, the crew showed up right one time, and John was there every morning to check on things and do much of the work himself. He also ensured we knew how to use the sprinkler timer and what the sod needed for the first few weeks. The whole job was completed in four days! The crew also left our patio and driveway perfectly clean and washed down; it looks better now than it did before. We will use Caligreen for all future jobs, and we can't recommend them highly enough!

3.75/5.0 Stars. Tony Tran and his crew completed concrete, drainage, irrigation and tree hole work…read morefor us at fair prices. We appreciate that he was on time, built solid forms and even suggested additional drainage improvements. The finished result is better than that of a previous contractor. That said, there were some issues that detracted from the experience. We observed several crew members urinating in our yard and Tony made light of it so we had to address the workers ourselves to use a bathroom. There was also a miscalculation in the amount of concrete needed; while Tony completed the job at no extra charge using bagged concrete-which we appreciate-the situation could have been handled better from the outset given his level of experience, use a tape measure. Cleanup was a concern. The crew left behind concrete residue on surfaces like the driveway requiring several hours of my time to sweep and scrape. In summary, while the quality of the finished work is good improvements in professionalism, planning accuracy and post job cleanup would make a significant difference in the overall experience. Without these issues he's a solid 4.0/5.0 stars but we had the issues. I also overpaid $50 and my text hasn't been answered. Like many contractors here having tried to get us to pay more during the job he probably decided to keep it. 916-230-7995 is his cell.
