We just completed our second project with NT Landscaping and glad we did! Henry made a few suggestions and the end product was exactly what we discussed. He even had time to do additional work and we love the results! Work done: -removed lawn -installed artificial turf -installed rock creek, plants, and drip irrigation -installed concrete landing and arbor -installed stone wall -installed lighting and low voltage transformer There was a delay finishing the wall only because another Iron works contractor needed to measure then install fencing and a gate. Henry was very accommodating and was able to schedule the remaining work soon afterwards. I highly recommend NT Landscaping! They are punctual, communicative, hardworking, and kind. Best of all everything was done at a great price! Thank you again! read more

My husband and I worked with Henry to finish up our backyard. We had concrete for half our backyard and the other half had my planters and dirt. We had the idea to add pavers with turf in between and they truly turned our vision into a reality. Henry was great with communicating and very easy to work with. Their quality of work is fantastic. We love our backyard! It took two days to get everything done which included digging, leveling, adding pavers, turf and sloping everything to ensure water moves to a drain. Highly recommend Henry and his team! read more

3.75/5.0 Stars. Tony Tran and his crew completed concrete, drainage, irrigation and tree hole work for us at fair prices. We appreciate that he was on time, built solid forms and even suggested additional drainage improvements. The finished result is better than that of a previous contractor. That said, there were some issues that detracted from the experience. We observed several crew members urinating in our yard and Tony made light of it so we had to address the workers ourselves to use a bathroom. There was also a miscalculation in the amount of concrete needed; while Tony completed the job at no extra charge using bagged concrete-which we appreciate-the situation could have been handled better from the outset given his level of experience, use a tape measure. Cleanup was a concern. The crew left behind concrete residue on surfaces like the driveway requiring several hours of my time to sweep and scrape. In summary, while the quality of the finished work is good improvements in professionalism, planning accuracy and post job cleanup would make a significant difference in the overall experience. Without these issues he's a solid 4.0/5.0 stars but we had the issues. I also overpaid $50 and my text hasn't been answered. Like many contractors here having tried to get us to pay more during the job he probably decided to keep it. 916-230-7995 is his cell. read more

Nelson and Henry were beyond amazing. For context, my wife and I got burned by a previous landscaper so I thought finding my next landscaper was going to be a challenge. I went through 8 bids for our retaining wall project before deciding. After meeting with Nelson my gut was telling me to move forward. Throughout the initial meeting, he was open and honest and what I really enjoyed was he gave great feedback on my ideas for my backyard. Henry is his right hand man. I absolutely enjoyed working with Henry. He was so easy to talk to and very responsive whenever we had a question or a new request. Thanks to Nelson and Henry, we have the retaining wall we have envisioned for our backyard and my wife and kids absolutely love it. The lights they added were a beautiful touch. They also helped me fix a major concrete issue that my previous landscaper left behind and I can't thank them enough (old landscaper poured the concrete way too high and it was literally touching the bottom of my exterior walls of my home). Overall, they provided the best value, outstanding work ethic, and amazing results. My wife and I love their work so much that we're in the process of doing another backyard project with them very soon. Thanks again! read more

I had cement laid out with retaining walls and a new patio, and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. The crew showed up on time every day, worked quickly but carefully, and kept the work area clean throughout the project. They were polite, respectful, and always willing to answer my questions along the way. What impressed me most was their attention to detail. The retaining walls look solid and well-built, and the patio turned out even better than I imagined. Everything feels sturdy, level, and beautifully done. They completed the work in less time than I expected without cutting corners, which really shows their skill and efficiency. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the results. My yard has been completely transformed, and I've already received so many compliments on the new space. If you're looking for a hardworking, professional, and all around amazing team, I would highly recommend them for any landscaping or cement work! read more

I found out about NT Landscaping Service from my sister. She had gotten her patio cover and backyard landscaped by Nelson and his team. Seeing how amazing her backyard came out I figured I'd get ahold of Nelson to get a quote for everything we wanted. Nelson is extremely communicative, polite, helpful, and punctual! Whether it was communicating via text or phone call he was readily available to answer all my questions and concerns. I stressed how much I needed to stay within my budget but pointed out what were important things to get completed this time around. Nelson made sure to provide a variety of ways to help us save money and was extremely flexible based on our decisions. This included days of when he needed to stop by to show us the patio cover samples, build the patio cover, and come back to install lights. We changed our minds quite a bit! Lastly, when he scheduled a date & time he was there right on the dot every time. Greatly appreciated that!!! We decided to do our yard in phases due to our indecisiveness. For now we had our white insulated patio cover installed with lights. It's been a game changer and we get so many compliments already! I should also add Nelson and his brother Henry were able to install our lights for us. Seriously a one stop shop for all your backyard needs. Cannot be happier and a huge thank you to NT Landscaping Services for the first phase of our backyard! We will begin the next phase next year! I'll be sure to provide updated pictures then. Highly recommend to reach out to them if you're in the preliminary stages of finding a quality contractor who produces excellent work. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about Nelson and his team and the work they did to our backyard recently. Far exceeded our expectations and then some! We had a rough idea of what we wanted done and Nelson provided very excellent suggestions that took it to the next level like adding lights and having the entertainment space area elevated from the ground. The end result turned out amazing. Nelson takes a lot of pride in the work him and his team do, and always make sure we were satisfied at every phase of the project before they proceed to the next. Definitely recommend NT Landscape! read more

From the moment Nelson came to give us a quote, he demonstrated confidence in his craft. And all that confidence wasn't all talk, as he and his crew have delivered everything asked for in a professional way. His crew was very punctual, they began working on the project right away and finished in a very reasonal time. They showed attention to detail and didn't skip over any necessary steps. Nelson's communication was great and he made sure we were on the same page the entire time. On top of all that, in this day of overpriced contracting work, his price for the work was VERY fair and he wanted to save us money where he could. I absolutely recommend NT landscaping for any outdoor projects you are thinking of. read more

We worked with Nelson about 8 years ago. Now we are still recommending him to our friends and family. Great work that has lasted over time.

It's really impossible these days to really see a business take pride in what they do and conduct themselves in the most professional manner. In my search for a contractor to help finish my backyard and complete other tasks I went through about 5 different companies to try and get their estimates. All arrived and were able to quote the project for different prices. When all was settled Nelson won the bid, however, not due to cost. It was due to his understanding of the project and above all his recommendations. What other contractors failed to explain was the "nuts and bolts" of the project and small changes and tweaks that would improve the esthetic as well as utilize my budget more effectively. Reliability, 5 stars all around. Unlike other contractors we have worked with in the past Henry and Crew were timely, clean and very enjoyable to be around. I know I may have bothered a bit too much while they were working but they never made it seem that way. BTW, Henry is also an amazing part of the business and if you get to work with him at your site you will be very lucky. I think one of the best ways to put NT Landscapes service is, they will do what you want as if they were doing it for their own home and THAT to me is a no brainer when picking someone to do a job. 25 Yards of cement (Backyard, 2 sides of house and drive way) Added a Gate Built a garbage enclosure for the outside Artificial Turf Covered Solid roof Pergola with power and plugs setup for install of outdoor speakers You will not regret picking NT for your project. read more

Nelson and his team were recommended to us when we were looking to install a patio cover in our backyard. We felt his quote was very fair and reasonable. From start to finish, Nelson was efficient and easy to communicate with. Nelson and his team took care of everything with confidence. They ordered/delivered all of the quality materials and installed our patio cover (w/recess lighting) within a day! I couldn't believe it, because it is not a small patio cover! We are so thrilled with the extra shade and would highly recommend NT Landscaping if you are looking to get a patio cover installed! read more

I can't speak highly enough of Henry and his crew. We had a simple vision and he made some excellent recommendations. Lightning quick work (2 weeks from all dirt to a pristine yard) and transparent/open communication. Great craftsmanship too and respectful of our timeline and backyard needs. Regarding price: extremely reasonable and transparent. He will work within your budget and be honest if things won't fit within that. Do NOT sacrifice quality for a cheaper company. I have him lined up for future projects already and would give 10 stars. read more

Very happy with the job Nelson and his team did for our new construction lot (concrete patio extension & side yard walkways, lawn, raised beds, plantings with soil amendments, sprinklers, and drip lines) and at a very competitive price. They went the extra mile and made more trips to top up on the amount of sod we needed (which was my bad for underestimating up front) and executed some additional polish (decorative rocks) for no extra charge. We're waiting for some trees to arrive from SMUD's free tree program and they volunteered to come back to plant those in our difficult to work with clay soil when they arrive. I really appreciate how open they are to answering questions and coming back for maintenance with no hassling over price and contracts. Would 100% recommend! read more

I can say nothing but good things about Nelson and his team. I sent a few help requests out to change up my front yard / driveway. A few companies came out and looked around, told me they'd reach out to me in a few days. The prices I received were insane and they did not follow the idea I had in anyway shape or form. Luckily Nelson came and gave me an on the spot quote for what I asked for. He also wasn't afraid to tell me if I should or should not do something and gave reasonable advice on why or why not. We started the first week of November and finished the first week of December. Throughout the process, Nelson met with us to go over what he wanted to do step by step at each phase which we were appreciative of. He was very flexible, not pushy, and is overall a good person to have as a contact. There were even some minor changes I wanted to make and he made them happen. There were also some things I wanted fixed. His reply was "I'll take care of it". The next day it was done. I'll definitely be contacting him for my backyard project next year. Go with Nelson and you won't be disappointed. Definitely service oriented and had our best interest at heart. I couldn't post all the pics I wanted to read more

We chose NT Landscaping Service to redo our embarrassing and sad looking front, back, and side yard. They even fixed our fence that has been broken since we moved in. We contacted multiple contractors and NT Landscaping Service was the more reasonable priced one. They were able to give us more with our budget. Nelson, Henry and their hardworking team did an amazing job transforming our yard. It was a lot of work and pretty much started from scratch, but they finished at a reasonable timeframe. They were very easy to work with. There were some things we said we wanted changed and they did exactly what we wanted. The completed design is what we envisioned and they made it become reality. It looks even better since they added the light features on the front steps and back retaining wall. This company takes pride in their work and go above and beyond to make sure you are happy with the quality and service. We are extremely happy that we can finally use our outdoor space for all seasons. Now we won't mind when it starts raining again because there's less dirt and it's so much easier to clean and maintain. We recommend this company if you are interested in transforming your yard for the better. It was definitely worth it! After much research on Yelp, including 3 company's that specialized in concrete, we hired NT Landscape to do a complete renovation of our 25 year old front & back yards. This included removing existing cement patios, a large pond/fountain, grass & redwood fence. We wanted to extend the front driveway on both sides, add steps & create a large patio for entertaining in the backyard to include a new fence, water feature & awning. We think the pictures speak for themselves... Nelson, Henry, Billy & the entire NT Landscape team worked diligently to create exactly what we were looking for. We started the project in December & expected it to take several months with the rainy season & the approximate 3 months were just a blip in time. We worked together during every phase of the project to ensure we were all in agreement with the design. The team worked steadily to complete the project timely & we are truly happy with the final result. Thank you NT Landscape! read more

We had a sprinkler valve that started leaking and it was next to another one we have had problems with in the past. We needed both replaced and quickly as I had shut the water off at the main valve. If you are looking for someone to do your backyard landscaping from scratch, look no more! We decided to go with NT based on the price NT estimate stage. They will work closely with you and listen to your concern and make suggestions. Their pricing is very competitive. They have a team and they do quality work and worked extremely very fast during the process. I was so happy that my husband found Nelson online to do the backyard! (Yes I admit my husband takes the credit this time!) So here is the full experience: We've got a new home and need the backyard done. My brother-in-law has hired two different companies to do the backyard for their old and new home and I didn't like any of their designs. So I decided to look on the internet. We narrowed down to NT and another one. As a newbie, I tried to do my homework. I am talking about months and months of research on YouTube while the house were still building. We are not good around the house and want something that is easy to maintain and not breaking our banks. The process is also more complicated as we need to please our bankers (aka parents who helped to loan us money as part of the house deposit). Our yard is also quite small so we want to keep the design very simple (and easy to maintain is like the top of our list). The first company completely ignored what we were looking for. We were trying to see if we can get an idea of price and design from them based on the space and our budget in mind. Afterall they are professionals. At the end we got some prices that were estimated that they will not honor, and were told to do more homework by going to many individual landscaping material stores. So far no sample project, no pictures, nothing. Not a good experience at all. NT is so different. The experience was great. You will thought the complementary price estimate is one time team. Nelson has been very patience with us and came multiple times to help us to come up with design based on our needs. with examples! And mostly because we've changed our minds so much. For example our first meeting I was thinking stamped concrete or pavers. Our second meeting quickly changed to uncolored concrete (to match the drive way). The third meeting was to not remove the existing concrete in the outdoor room as we don't want to get into warranty issue with the builder. He was very patience with us. His pricing is great. He gave the full price break down with material cost and labour. He also encouraged us to go to store H and Store S to check out the material, and the material cost we're based on our options. He specifically asked us to scout to the better value places first before going to the more pricy ones. For lightings, he has only charge us labor cost. He was specific to give us a list of what he need (aka transformer, fixture, and wire). We can buy our own material and we will pay the installation, which is more than fair. He also gave us what he purchased before for his other clients online as a reference. At the end we went for the pricy Ewing FXL lights because of the extended 10 years warranty (remember I've said low maintenance is top on our list)! They even helped us to get the items from Ewing to see if they can get contractor discount for us. Once the contract is signed, he monitored the weather closely while preparing the site. We opted for rebar cement. His brother Henry led the team of 5 to 6 people to do the rebar. Nelson come and check the work and give us updates every few days and ensure we have proper drainage on the site. He covered also the stuff that we overlooked like the air conditioning dripping drainage and possible water source to ensure the area is ready before pour. The pouring is the toughest work. They came early and that took the whole day. It were a professional cement truck (Not some bagged cement mixed in bucket). I was originally very concerned since we didn't know anyone directly that have worked with him. By the cement stage I have completely trust Nelson and Henry and team doing a great job. We cemented part of the front yard area (for the trash cans) and they helped us to move some of the plants there and plant them at the back. They also helped us to plant the Japanese maple which we got from the Sac Tree foundation as well. Our project was done within a month. All in all, it is a job well done. We highly recommend NT to all our friends and neighbours. He is working on multiple projects but it definitely worth waiting and getting to him on your project for his professionalism and quality work. read more

Nelson and NT Landscaping were fantastic to work with. We found them on Yelp and we knew right away that we liked Nelson.  We had a basic design layout that we dreamt up and when Nelson said that we could work together and make it become a reality...thats when we hired him!! Nelson provided ideas and alternatives, working with us to create our dream yard. We wanted a large water fountain as a center piece. Nelson designed a one of a kind waterfall fountain made of stone that would be the envy of any yard with its LED lights on a timer and color changing lighted waterfall. Along with the waterfall we had a large stamped concrete patio added. We wanted low maintenance so we added rocks in the flower bed area, a trellis-pergala, a large redwood arbor for a wisteria vine, an area of beautiful artificial turf for the dog and a side yard with rock and decomposed granite with a flagstone path to trellises and garden boxes and a shed. Nelson was on site regularly to check on the work, as well as to help. The rest of the crew (brothers, uncles and nephews) were  punctual, clean, pleasant, and hard working (in horrible heat). We really enjoyed working with them and would highly recommend them to anyone. When the job was done we honestly missed the crew coming over and considered Nelson a friend. 100% would recommend Nelson and NT Landscaping. We purchased a new home and brought out multiple landscapers to provide us bids on our dirt backyard with a slightly slopped elevation along the back fence. Our project included: - extending drive way in the front by 2.5'; - concrete in the backyard and sideyard; - building a retaining wall; - installing additional electrical outlets & lights underneath the cap of the retaining wall; - building a curved retaining wall seating area; - installing grass, drip line, and sprinkler system; and - building an additional 5' gate on the other side of the house. I did not chose NT Landscaping because they had the cheapest bid (they were right in the middle of our quotes) or because they had a million Yelp reviews, but because Nelson spent the time and energy to work through our project and design, offer his professional suggestions to our design, and constantly certified that he would not be done until we were happy with the final project. A backyard is forever (relatively speaking), and I wanted a contractor that would spend the time to listen to my suggestions and wasn't their to get the job done and leave. During the entire project Nelson would stop by and check in on the progress of my work and answer my phone calls regarding the next steps. He also worked around our schedule because my finance works during the nights, so they only pulled out the wet saw, jackhammer, and other tools during days she wasn't sleeping. I am very happy with the quality, craftsmanship, and overall outcome of the project. I also know NT Landscaping is a quality company because they have done about 1/2 of our neighborhood as well! I've heard from my friend that this company is great, but ...I had a terrible experience with NT Landscaping Service "free consultation." MUST READ BEFORE YOU CONSULT WITH ANY LANSCAPING COMPANY. I would like to say it's been a pleasure to work with such a great company from start to finish. NTLandscaping ( Nelson, Henry, Billy Tran & crew) was not my only bid before I hired them and they were not the cheapest. I had 3 other landscaping company come by and give me bids before I chose NTLandscaping. They were all very competitive in prices although 1 was cheaper and 1 other was almost twice the cost. If you are looking for CHEAP and taking the cheapest bid no matter how the project will turn out than NTLandscaping is not for you and you do not care for Quality. NTLandscaping also had a high rating on yelp which helped them Win the bid, but what really helped was Nelson's pride in his reviews. Nelson took his reputation seriously and understood customer service and quality in his work. Before I go further, my backyard project consist of 1200 sq ft of 8inch thick concrete demolition (4in was standard thickness) , and then 12 yards of new concrete poured, 100 feet long of a 2 tier retaining wall, 30x 15ft premium artificial turf, 2 patio cover L shape custom connected , drip system on flower bed and a new hose bib faucet. Through out the 3 weeks he was working on my backyard he made little promises and delivered high results. For example he estimated 2 months before he could get to my project and started 5 weeks after contract (that's 3 weeks earlier). Nelson projected about 1 1/2 months before completion depending on weather and supplies and finished under a month. Everything came along so fast my wife and I couldn't be happier. Now you probably want to ask, did everything turn out perfect? Well, in every project you will see certain flaws. Some that can be redone and fixed and some that you know they did their best but it doesn't satisfy your heart. I can't say they are perfect but they listen and try to make sure I was happy when they were done. 99% of their work was FLAWLESS. Overall I feel that I made a great decision with NTLandscaping and their reputation deserves 5stars. I hope you all find this helpful and helps you make your decision easier before you choose NTLandscaping. Good luck and enjoy. read more

Nelson was very quick to respond when I reached out for a quote. We wanted to redo some horrendous concrete steps that a former contractor did and install some synthetic turf for the front yard. He listened to what we wanted and offered suggestions on what to do to better improve our front yard. He always made sure we approved of the work before moving on to the next step. He discussed and alleviated concerns that we had that was connected to our last disastrous experience with getting our front yard done, mainly our concrete steps. For the framing and leveling of the steps it took the workers nearly eight hours of measuring and leveling just to make sure everything was correct before reaching out to us for approval to move on to the pouring of the concrete. When it was time for the synthetic turf to be selected he came over with samples and gave suggestions to what would be the best choice for the vision that we had in mind. Everything was done in a very timely manner and the work was very detailed and meticulous. Everyone working at our house was very respectful of the space and didn't leave it cluttered. He answered numerous questions and dealt with many different inputs from people. You can tell that Nelson is very proud of his work and company and will stand by his craftsmanship. Needless to say our front yard was the worst looking yard in our neighborhood when we purchased the house. Our neighbors were not shy to express it to us either! We knew it was a lot of work when landscapers were ghosting us after seeing the place. I had the pleasure of meeting Nelson of NT Landscaping at the end of last year when I seek his help on correcting a botched job another landscaper did on our side yard. At that moment, I knew I can trust him and his guys to do a great job! When we were finally ready to stop being an embarrassment to our neighborhood, I called Nelson. He was very responsive and gave me a good quote within a couple of days...that in itself is a rarity. Nelson, Henry, Billy, James, Peter, Cuong and a few others were such a pleasure to work with! They're such hard working people that I wanted to help...crazy right? They did such a fantastic job! Neighbors walk/drive by and compliment on our yard daily.
