They painted our entire exterior when we first met them, and when Tyler was out recently to bid a job, he told me that we did not need to paint the exterior again yet! Talk about loyalty inducing! They painted our 2-story living room when the paint began to "chalk" (gets dusty looking, nothing fixes it, except Shades of Rose) and in 2 days they fixed a problem that was making me embarrassed for two years... Most recently they did a great job painting the front door so it looks good as new. Definitely recommend.

We have a 1927 bungalow that had lead paint underneath the top coat that had started to peel in the southernmost part of the house. We knew we needed lead experts and when I read about Shades of Rose, I knew I had to call. But, what sealed the deal for me was when the owner, Tyler responded within a few hours & came out to inspect my house & give me an estimate, himself. That's not common. SO many owners send their employees rather than take the time to come out themselves. Tyler explained the whole process and he quoted us a very reasonable price given the lead paint -- a quote that did not change. He also let me know that I could count on him to pick out colors & pick up the paint. This was a huge relief! Each day, Paul who was leading the project, communicated with us about what we could expect, where they would be, and how much time they'd be spending. It was incredible! Their level of professionalism, communication, swiftness in getting the job done, and the beauty of what my house looks like now are amazing. When at first an employee didn't show up, they didn't put my project on hold. They had backup staff who were there so that my house was taken care of and painted swiftly. They brought their team and accomplished the job with such finesse, clarity, and calm -- even in the midst of a huge downpour -- twice!!! They put down huge tarps and cleaned up after each day. A few perks that were icing on the cake: 1. Tyler gave us an Angie's list discount. 2. They painted the railing of our front porch on the last day! This was a huge amazing surprise! 3. They gave us a 3-year warranty and explained why we might need it (e.g. lighter colored paint in the sun) -- "Don't worry, Tyler told me. "Just call us and we'll come out and paint free of charge." Did I mention they offer exceptional service? Our house looks so bright and cheerful! Several neighbors have stopped by to tell us how great it looks! They're also wondering if we're moving -- but, we're not! And, our house looks new! Thanks, Tyler, Paul, Jasmine, & your whole team @ Shades of Rose Painting!

They worked really hard the whole time and were perfectionists about quality. I had a hiccup with my job -- I had a big sticker on my closet doors and it took off paint when I removed it! Jeff worked out a solution with me, to take the doors off-site and sand them all the way down. I appreciated that he didn't charge me full price since it was an unexpected cost. I also had a hiccup with a door that wouldn't close properly after painting. (It was probably a very tight fit before painting). This door also needed some off-site work to shave down the top, so it would close correctly. The team came back on a Saturday morning to bring me the restored closet doors. These little pain points come up with lots projects. You need a company that will take care of things when everything doesn't go perfectly. ESP will make sure everything is taken care off.

He said the two people who had painted my house had only been with the company for 2 months and was sorry for the miscommunication. When I went pour the paint into the new can, I was surprised find two paint rollers in the paint can.

AMAZING!!!!!!!! We are so happy with every step of the process and our home looks fantastic!…read more Jon Strong Painting recently completed a full interior paint job in our two-story home which has a two-story entry. After receiving multiple quotes from a few other companies, Jon Strong was recommended to us from friends who very highly recommended them and our friends were not wrong! Jon came out right away to look over our home and provided us with an estimate within a day or two. At first, we were unsure how much of the house we wanted done at that time due to anticipated costs, so the estimate he provided showed various options. We decided to have the entire interior done. They were able to start the job within just a couple of weeks and his crew arrived at the promised time each day and the project was done on time, as promised, and within the set budget. We ended up spending a bit more than the budget ONLY because of the choice we made to change the paint color after they began painting. We expected to pay for this change, but even if we had not expected it, Jon was really good to explain to us how the change would affect the budgeted amount. Throughout the entire process, Jon regularly communicated to us and the crew and answered all of our many, many questions. The crew that did the actual work were absolutely wonderful! We cannot speak higher of them! The crew consisted of three and sometimes a fourth (son of two of the crew members who was off from college for the summer). Their work at prepping and painting the home was top notch as one would expect with professionals. What takes them to that next level is how they treat your home. We work from home so were here the entire process. They did everything they could to minimize fumes (from oil primer) and dust and cared for our home like it was their home. We were told ahead of time when we would need to leave for the night from primer fumes so we could plan ahead. We could go on and on about how professional, talented, kind and lovely they are! The finished product looks beautiful! I would share photos but I'm not sure if anyone would notice since we basically went with a warm white throughout and the house just looks clean with a warm brightness (hopefully that makes sense, lol). We had flooring installed throughout most of our home a few weeks after they finished painting and the crew came back out after the flooring was done to do any needed touch-ups and it looks great. If you are on the fence or wondering if you should hire professionals to paint your home, do not hesitate and definitely go with Jon Strong Painting. We plan to use them when it's time to paint the exterior of our home in another year or two.

The main problem - Our house has cedar shingles. The rear of the house is painted, the front is stained - and we wanted to keep the staining at the front. We pointed out to their estimator that some of the stained shingles has caulking marks on them - he told us the stain would cover the marks. He was wrong, but we didn't find that out until they'd finished painting the rear of the house. The team did their best to cover the caulking marks with touch up marker - they look ok from the street, but are very obvious close-up. Had the estimator told us that the stain wouldn't cover these marks, we would have had the whole house painted a single color - but in a different color than we chose for just the rear. There were also some smaller problems - - The quote stated that a porta-potty would be provided - it wasn't. Presumably the quoted price included this. - The quote stated that plants would be covered to protect from spraying - the rhododendron bushes in front of my house now have paint-spattered leaves, and look like they might not survive. - Some of the painters who helped out for just small part of the job weren't very careful - two of my path lights were broken (which they tried to hide by balancing the broken lights on their stands), and someone ripped most of the branches off one rhododendron bush instead of tying them back. - A petrol stain was left on our front path where they refueled their pressure washer. I pointed out these issues to the project manager. I'm very disappointed that no-one from the iTech office has contacted me to apologize, and I can only assume that they don't really care. Therefore I would not recommend them.
