Greg and LOI were an absolute delight to work with! My partner and I recently closed on our first…read morehome and ran into asbestos issues immediately. Greg bid the project within 48 hours of me contacting him and had the work completed within a week. Greg and Victor took all necessary safety precautions and left the area clean and tidy. Greg provided me a clear realistic understanding of what we were up against with an extremely competitive bid. If you're looking for a company that excels in work quality and customer service, look no further!

I was thinking the trade off would be having to wait longer for an abatement to get a lower rate. But they got me in sooner than I'd thought. The work they did was stellar- clean, efficient, professional in every way. Greg was really responsive and communicative and really went the extra mile to help me understand what was going on and how to mitigate the situation. He was also helpful to my contractor in assessing how to address other aspects of the renovation project. Ultimately, they came in UNDER budget, took less time to complete the work than anticipated AND got me on the schedule sooner than planned! Besides all of that, I just really LIKED Greg and his crew. Really good people who are honest and professional. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome given how stressful it all began. Greg de-escalated the situation almost immediately and helped me feel more at ease with the information he provided. Thanks to everyone at LOI.

Southwest Portland

PDX SS was referred to me by my new General Contractor. I had another contractor start a remodel…read moreand then walk off the job. After much debate, I needed to have the foundation that had been poured removed and fill in the hole. I was really struggling to find anyone to even bid the project, let alone take the job. Rob, the owner, showed up, bid the job to my new GC, was forthcoming about when he could start and what the costs would be. He was no nonsense, good for his word. Showed up with his crew and equipment the day he said he was going to, and every day till the job was done. He came across many issues with what the previous contractor had done, but he also came to me with solutions and the means to fix them. You have to love a guy who brings you answers to the problems you didn't even know you had! It was one of those, "this couldn't have gone any smoother" transactions. His crew was very careful with their equipment and made sure not to damage any of the surrounding areas, i.e. sidewalks, trees, fences, the neighbors cars. I'm pretty sure that man could tie a shoelace with that excavator thing he was using. Rob did everything he said he was going to do and even more. He went above and beyond. It's very rare, and hard to find honorable, no nonsense guys like that these days. This is an amazing team. A well run business, and just an all around great company to work with. I couldn't be happier. It's hard to see in the pictures, but the "after" photos show where Rob actually had some rich soil brought in and planted grass seed in it for me!! He didn't have to do that, but he did because that's just the kind of guy he is. One of a kind for sure.

Thank you so much for plumbing out the crud in my yard I appreciate you guys more than anythingread more

Plumbline Drywall - "Smooth coated" skim when Cesar left the job.

Plumbline Drywall

We contacted Plumbline on November 9, 2025 after seeing their trucks around town and getting…read moreexorbitant estimates from other local drywall contractors. We had 35sf of back splash that was destroyed/damaged during a countertop replacement. Drywall was mostly intact, but there were many areas/holes where the original splash tile adhesive pulled off half or all of the original drywall, leaving huge craters or holes completely through the original drywall. I sent pictures of the damaged areas on November 11, 2025. Jesse contacted us as the 'residential' rep for the company. On November 13, 2025 he quoted $620 based on square footage etc. I explained we didn't need anything other than new sheet rock with tape and mud to make the backsplash smooth, level and ready for new tile. Jesse told me in that case, the cost would be 'at least half' the quote amount or less. We were able to get an appointment for the following week. Cesar showed up on Day 1 at about 10:45 AM. He told me his intent was to skim coat the entire back splash area and it would be smooth and good for new tile. I explained Jesse and I had agreed on replacing all of the damaged splash drywall with new and Cesar was adamant his skim coating would be more than solid for our needs. I again told him that wasn't the agreed upon work I had with Jesse. About 11:30 on Day 1 Cesar told us he was going to lunch. He sat in his truck for about 30 minutes and then left for about an hour. On returning, he worked until about 2Pm and said he had to leave for the day. Over the next two days, Cesar didn't show up when he said he would, his skim coating was a mess and when he realized he had to actually replace the drywall, he cut it out and used pieces of fire wood and/or sheet metal angle to try and use as backer for the next new patch sheet. He ended up cutting himself and I found him in our bathroom bleeding into our sink. I met him at his truck as he was bandaging his hand and offered a 1x4 or 2x4 to help him complete the job. Cesar accepted and used our material to try and add the drywall patch. After Cesar left on Day 2, I found the drywall skim and patched areas weren't plumb at all and a total mess to try and lay new tile backsplash. I texted Jesse and sent videos and photos of the work done to that point, expressing our frustration and disappointment that Cesar hadn't provided the agreed upon work of replacing the 35sf of sheetrock, taping and mudding. On Day 3, Cesar was over an hour late arriving from the time he told us he would arrive. I sent a text to Jesse asking if he had any idea where his patch guy might be and when the work was completed, I would like to share our concerns with his employee and their work. After a week of being home waiting for the patch guy to show up and complete the job, and calls, texts with photos etc to Jesse, November 25th, Jesse admitted the work Cesar had done was un-acceptable in a text message to me. He said he had relayed our concerns to his boss who would have 'a serious talk with him'. Jesse offered to send out another patch guy that day. We agreed and Israel was there at noon on the 25th. He tried to fix and repair the previous work and did a decent job of it. He wasn't able to complete the work that day so on the 26th he came back, finished and our backsplash was ready for tile, finally. Interestingly, a week after work began, we received the usual 'Notice of right to lien' from Plumbline in the mail Curious that it was a week after work started and cost over $6 to mail to us, but the work wasn't even near complete or up to industry standard. We understand the process of contractors sending the notices, but this was after Cesar had left saying the job was complete. For the next two months, we received no bill from Plumbline. I left voicemails for Jesse and reached out to the company by email indicating we'd not been billed and if the company was going to waive the costs or adjust them based on the negative experience and fact we spent 5+ days at home so their employee(s) could complete a 35sf project, we would appreciate them letting us know what if anything we owed. On January 26th, we went to Plumbline in Tualatin. I was met with aggressive, barking, growling dogs and someone who didn't identify himself but appeared to be an owner or manager. I explained we hadn't received a bill and wanted to take care of any outstanding charges. The gentleman found our file and showed it to me as a sheet of paper with my name, address and $620 written on it. I explained most of our experience with Jesse, Cesar and Israel to him. He offered to settle for $500. We agreed on $450. Get a written quote from this company. Or, better yet find another drywall contractor. Our mistake! They didn't even knew they hadn't billed us!!! Never again.

However, when I had issue with this they reduced my bill by $100, as they had not disclosed those charges to me.
