In my opinion Pecinas is really a pretty good Mexican restaurant. They give you three dipping salsa and quest with free chips. The tortillas are great and most dishes are fantastic. I moved here from cacaCalifornia and I'll say that of the thousands if taco shops in San Diego county, not even one would be caught dead serving a taco in a store-bought crunchy "taco shell". This was my first time eating at this restaurant, my husband picked it out as he lives in this area. The inside is very interesting as far as the decor. We started out being served tortilla chips with a whole bunch of sauces. Two salsas, two yellow cheese queso and 1 white queso. The white queso was the only good dish, the salsa was bland, no flavor, no chunks. I ordered the chicken and rice burrito with sour cream sauce on top, refried beans and rice on the side. The tortilla shell was just OK and the chicken and had no flavor. I will say the refried beans were absolutely delicious. I did not finish my meal as it just wasn't worth the calories. My husband ordered the shrimp tacos, which comes with two tacos and rice on the side. He reported the tacos were delicious but he didn't finish his either. The service was pretty good but not the best especially for 3 o'clock in the afternoon when the restaurant was empty. read more

I drove an hour to eat here with family and was so incredibly disappointed. We waited 45 minutes for our food. One got his and rest just sat there waiting for our food while everyone around us that came in and sat after we already ordered got their food. Finally asked and was told that there was a long order that came through. That's great! But we sat here for 45 minutes as is and the waitress didn't have the decency to let us know the food was going to be delayed. It's crazy how you get an order "after" you order yours and you get put on hold but serve everyone else around you. Never knew a taco salad would be hard to make or that long to come out. We never got the rest of our food and the table behind us walked out as well! I asked for a manager, didn't even get that. Very unprofessional! Terrible service. I've had bad experiences but this was by far the worst! Will never go back nor recommend! read more

We've eaten here before and it was worthy of a repeat. But, unless quality of food changes I find that highly unlikely. The white cheese was so thinned down that it barely had any flavor, and it has been my favorite. My chicken burrito was so full of rice I barely found any chicken. I already had a plate full of rice and beans. I certainly didn't need more rice. They give you a choice of cheese sauce but it barely covered the burrito so it was terribly dry. I realize there isn't much of a restaurant choice in a small town, but for the price I paid, there is certainly room for improvement. read more

It's a really cute little Mexican place. The food is really good and they don't just have Mexican food there (cheeseburgers, onion rings,...) you also get chips with salsa and cheese sauce as soon as you sit down. The waitress is fast and very friendly. The drinks here are ENORMOUS and everything is pretty cheap. If you're looking for a place to eat ad you are around Hinton you should definitely go check it out. read more

We came here since we were in town to watch a concert at a near by casino and yelp pointed to this place it was packed for a Saturday night but we got seated fast and the waitress was fast and very polite. The food came out hot and tasted amazing!! The guacamole was totally authentic and had amazing flavor!! The fact that you get a free desert just tops the meal!! Defiantly worth the money!!! This place is almost literally an oasis. When it's 103 degrees outside about 60 miles west of Oklahoma City, just south of Highway 40, walk out of the blinding sun and constant wind into this small family place and you'll be happy. It's cool and the blinds are more than sufficient to keep the outside outside. The food was fresh and good, but considering the options in Hinton, it would be silly to quibble. For a small town I didn't expect such quality food. The restaurant and restrooms were very clean, the wait staff attentive, and the portions just right. My husband and I shared the chicken fajitas and were not disappointed. The pico and guacamole tasted fresh and the spicy green salsa was just right. During our travels, we were literally trapped in OK due to the high winds. I wanted something other than fast food for dinner! This was it... Wow! Everything was perfect! We had such a great experience that we went back AGAIN the next night. They give you chips, salsa, and 2 types of cheese sauce as you sit down. Delicious! I ordered the steak chimichanga, both times! The only reason I'm not maxing out a five star rating is that after hiking all afternoon thru Red Rick Canyon, I would have paid anything for a top shelf margarita........but they don't have a license?! The menu is extensive and varies even catering to non Mexican eaters. I had the huervo rancheros, and it was delicious. Wife had two large shrimp tacos, Annabelle had a great grilled chicken quesadilla, son had carne asada tacos (steak), son's future wife had chicken tenders and fresh cut whole French fries and it was all delicious! A margarita sure would have been good, on the rocks, with sea salt falling off the rim....... when we go back to Red Rock to do some rappelling off the canyon walls, we'll definitely stop here again and you should too!! Thank goodness for Yelp who led us to their door! Just brought to my attention; they happen to be in a dry county circuit hence lack of margaritas is beyond their control, raised my rating to five stars!! read more

So many great restaurants in this little jewel of a town you'll find a few minutes off I-40 and this is at the top of the list! We had the flautas, quesadillas, enchiladas, and tamales. Everything was great! Loved the 2 different kinds of cheese sauces and the salsa was really good. Would give 5 stars if they had homemade tortillas...but honestly can't complain about anything! Very friendly staff! There are a lot of menu items you'll see pictures of but not officially listed on the menu. That's where we ordered our food, and it was even better than the picture!
