Overall, a good experience for a dine-in Mexican restaurant. I visited during a weekday at about lunchtime and did not have to wait to be seated. Staff was friendly and attentive. Price was average. Food arrived quickly as ordered. The Carnita meat on my street tacos was tender and well prepared, albeit slightly under seasoned for my taste (personal preference). I did not get a margarita, but I saw others ordering them and they looked great. Restaurant is clean and well maintained, overhead music playing softly. read more

Here's a nice little hopping Mexican restaurant with a slightly offbeat menu. I had a chicken with rice drenched in cheese sauce. The chicken was, unusually, very thin strips of breast meat, fairly tender. This made the dish. read more

Stopping by we had the urge for Mexican food. I've had a couple other spots in town and this is my favorite. I find it hard to spot a restaurant that has any kind of spiciness in their food and here I found it. Everything was very good and it was so spicy I even struggled with it, which is a blessing. We go to Weatherford a few times a year and I'm sure we will stop by every time to visit now so the service is really good and the restaurant overall was just really comfortable and we hung out for a good while with no worries. read more

Went back. Food is always good. Service is good. But this time the music was so loud our table could not even hear each other speak. When I mentioned turning it down to the waiter. He said, he had no control of it. That is unacceptable. Wait staff should be empowered to either make the restatement more comfortable or at least feel empowered to report what the customers are asking for. read more

This was just something on the fly as I passed by on the highway to get back home. I was gonna go to Qdoba but seen a fly in the food. So I decided to come here (still wanting Mexican), and this was a great choice so good and fresh. Loved my food and it was ready in a timely manner. read more

We were passing through, it was getting late, and Siri pulled up El Patio. When we arrived the place was happening. I was excited that the staff could seat us immediately. The wait staff was quick and friendly, and we were enjoying chips and salsa in no time. We were able to quickly order, which was great as we were hungry. Even better the food soon appeared. All good news. Unfortunately, the food wasn't very good. It was hot and prompt but poor in taste. That's the reason for the three stars. Please keep in mind the place was packed so maybe the issue is the style of cooking was different than what we are used to. I'd recommend giving it a try to see what you think. read more

Been eating at El Patio for years when I'min town for business. My favorite dish is the "Pollo Con Chorizo ". It's usually WONDERFUL. But, I just ordered it for carry out and was very disappointed. The chicken patty was WAY thinner than usual, grisly and tough as a boot. If you're reading this, El Patio, you need to get that fixed ASAP. That will run off customers. read more

We just happened to be in town and this place was highly recommended. Glad we stopped in! No free queso and tortillas here, but I should lay off of that a little anyway! Chile relleno is one of my faves, but not everyone can do it well. El Patio does!its full of cheese and the pepper has just enough heat to be absolutely lovely but not overbearingly hot I also ordered it with cheese sauce on top which cost a little bit extra. After a little misunderstanding on the phone about whether seating was available or we should make a reservation, we decided to just show up and got right in. Food seemed like it might better than your typical Mexican restaurant by the smells of sizzling fajitas passing me on the way to other tables so I went out on a limb and ordered shrimp ceviche and chicken soup. It was really more food than I could handle but I wanted to try the ceviche challenge and also wanted something hot and light. Both dishes were great. The ceviche had a really fresh lime- jalepeno-cilantro (by order of strength) marinade. The soup had plenty of chicken and avacado with a souper flavorful broth. The Steak Colorado my husband had was ok but not on the same level of flavor I had on my side of the table. We did however think the salsa and the service was exceptional. Bingo! On my way through Oklahoma, I needed a good meal in the middle of the day. I found El patio's great reviews and could not agree more. The food is outstanding, and I had plenty of space to park my 18 wheeler right outside. I enjoyed the steak dish served over a bed of perfectly cooked vegetables and yummy gooey Mexican cheese with a generous side plate of rice and beans and pico de gallo and guacamole. Wonderful full sized portions in a cool and comfy Mexican decor environment. And a bargain too! Only $22? I can't believe what a great place with terrific service this is. The food was surprisingly good for this part of the country. I had the chimichanga and a side of guac. I think it was like $19 altogether, so that's not bad. I loved the beans - growing up with a pot of refried beans on the counter every day, am a harsh critic. They got the beans right. I would give it 5 stars except for the guacamole. It was made from those cheap slimy avocados and they're never good. It was advertised as homemade and sounded great - but it was just not. No flavor, too many tomatoes and needed spices and salt. We stopped here on our way home fr a weekend at Quartz Mtn. We are met by the host and seated rather quickly. Everything was rushed from the time we entered the restaurant. We had a server who rushed our drinks and ran around taking care of other people instead of us. We could tell it was closing time but nobody said anything. If they didn't want to service, they shouldn't let us come in the door. The tortilla soup was lacking in flavor. I neeeed pico and lots of salsa. Our waiter didn't even ask if I needed another refill of the salsa and I just sucked it up. We ask for sopapillas and we got some excuse why we couldn't have them after he told us we could.
