I had my four wisdom teeth out here. I had a consult and X-ray appointment and was able to be…read morescheduled for the procedure just about 20 days later. Had I wanted it done sooner, they actually had an appointment opening within a week as well. Day of the procedure everything went fine. Everyone was really nice and since I didn't have to be put to sleep, the doctor and his two surgical assistants communicated to me throughout the duration of the procedure as to what was going on. I was sent home with a soft toothbrush, Sockit gel wound dressing and clear instructions on icing, care, etc. I was also given a pain prescription, but ended up not needing it. Afterwards I was able to get an appointment on the same day I called when I was experiencing after surgery pain. Everyone in the office was really nice and friendly and genuinely seemed caring and concerned about how I felt. I never felt rushed or an inconvenience. The two surgical assistants were super friendly and approachable and were willing to answer lots of questions. They were both genuine conversationalists which worked wonders for getting your mind off why you were there. Dr Picard himself was very personable and willing to answer any questions as well. He came off as very knowledgeable and confident which made trusting him to do what was needed easy. If I ever have any oral concerns in the future, I will definitely keep this friendly practice in mind.

Dr. Picard and his extremely helpful staff made me feel at ease and explained things in detail so I could make the best decisions about my care. I ended up going with just a local anesthesia and it was more than fine. They did everything you'd expect from an oral surgeon's office, sending me home with a bag of gauze, instructions, when to call, etc as well as a new soft toothbrush. The receptionist even called me a few hours after I got home just to see how I was holding up. Classy and appreciated! The address is on Madison, but it's actually best to park behind the building (between Morrison and Carabel) and enter that way.

Upon arriving at the office on July 16 at 9:15 I had said that I was here for my 9:15 appointment....I was greeted and told that I did not have an appointment scheduled for that day. I had cut a vacation short to make sure I had made it to this initial appointment...after waiting some 4 mos. give or take a week or two.... I handed the receptionist my paperwork and appointment card that had the appointment time on it and was told that I had to reschedule for the following wednesday, because a hygenist had called off, and there wasn't s slot open for me.I believe I handled the situation with as much grace as was able to not getting upset or saying anything rude. It is not my problem what the internal staffing problems are at the office, and frankly I don't want to hear what the businesses issues are to as to why they can not accomodate my appointment. I accepted the appointment for the following wednesday and called back today, to find out what the cost of the appointment would be as to I am paying cash. I was told 300 dollars and it was due on the day of the visit. I asked if I could submit a partial payment, and pay the balance due two days later. I was told no.it was due in full. The billing policy is understandable, I am a cash customer, and got screwed out of an appointmet that I have waited 4 months for!!!!!! No one in the office was willing to work with me and had the attitude like this wasn't a big deal!!! I'm sure the client list is large enough that my money doesn't matter a whole hell of a lot, but the screw ups on their end should have been handled with much more grace and a willingness to make things right...... I hope this office rectifies their situation in customer service soon, it is a shame that a family that has worked years to build such a thriving practice would put up with this level of service......

I will start off by saying my first impression of Dr Smith's office was not ideal. I felt very…read morerushed, very talked over and felt like our questions we asked were annoying him. I was a bit nervous as to how things would go on the actual day of service. I have a teenage daughter that suffers with anxiety bad, she needs to be told what's going on play by play. So as the day arrived for her procedure I was quite concerned based on our treatment at our consultation. Day of surgery was very stressful, on a level of 0-10 her anxiety was a 20, I explained to the nurse that my daughter wasn't going to handle this well because of this. She was amazing and spoke calmly to my daughter and did her best to ease her nerves to no avail, my daughter was disrespectful, rude and I was very embarrassed by her behavior. As it progressed my anxiety grew with worry because of my first impression of Dr Smith when we had our consultation. To my surprise he was patient with her and did his absolute best to assure her this procedure was going to go well. He even called us later in the evening to check on her. Her follow up appointments weren't quite as bad, however she was still pretty anxious, each check up they were patient and kind. I would definitely recommend them for their quality care and work. This is a busy office, it's ran efficiently. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because I did feel that the receptionist when she called us the prior to our appointments she talked to me very condescendingly. When we checked in she wasn't much better when she was directing us to fill out the paperwork. She definitely could use some better people skills. Had XRays and referral form sent over from dentist. Called 3 times to make sure the office had what they needed. Friday before the appt, I called to confirm and was told that their system was down and couldn't verify if they had the XRays or if they were readable. Was told they would call me back and let me know. Never received that call and went to the appt. Woman at the front desk is in desperate need of a new profession. Disrespectful and rude. Especially because they received XRays that they could NOT read and we had the nerve to show up for the appt. Not only that, she questioned our insurance and hammered home the fact that it wasn't covered 100%. Yes, we know. It's called a Consultation to talk about procedure & cost. Wondering if it was the same chick as the review from Kara E from 11/18/2018 or they just can't find a professional receptionist. "She sort of talked over me and claimed to have never heard of my dental insurance company before. What really got me was that she scoffed and laughed like I was making it up?" Yep. Same exact experience. Left the office - didn't even stay to find out how the rest of the "show" went. Unacceptable.
