Matthew Smith is hand down one of the best dentist I have ever been to. Even his staff is amazing. I really dig his nonjudgmental attitude. I don't have the best teeth, the dentist I have been to in the past have always been rude to me because of it. Matthew and his staff never once talked down to me or were rude to me because of my teeth. While working on your teeth, he will check up on, making sure that you aren't in pain. Hands down the best experience I've ever had at the dentist. Allow me to elaborate... First, scheduling my appointment. The lady who scheduled my appointment was super nice and did everything she could in order to schedule me around my work schedule. Second, the actual visit. Again, everyone was super nice and the wait time was minimal. I wasn't having any troubles with my teeth and just needed a good cleaning. The hygienist did such a good job that my mouth felt violated when she was finished; she now has a close, personal relationship with all of my teeth. But your mouth feeling violated means they did a good job! (I don't mean my mouth hurt, I just mean she did a very thorough job.) Third, the actual dentist. Super nice guy, checked me over thoroughly and went over further treatment (having my wisdom teeth removed and to keep using fluoride so I remain cavity-free.) I can't say enough good things about this practice. They even assured me that a prior diagnosis of a pretty nasty oral condition was absolutely incorrect and my gums are perfectly fine (yay!) My boyfriend also went to Dr. Smith and had the same experience, with both a cleaning and extraction. As a brief aside, there was a woman in the office at the time of my cleaning who obviously had quite a few teeth extracted. Everyone in the office, including Dr. Smith, kept checking on her to make sure she was comfortable. This cemented the fact that this will be my dentist for a long, long time. The staff isn't friendly. I made the mistake of going to a "discount dentist" at first. Mistakes were made, the dentist made 2 sets of temps (both were ill-fitting). Dr. Smith saw me at 2.5 weeks post-op. I was still swollen. The bottom temp fit pretty well because the dentist used a hard reline. Dr. Smith told me to return in 6 months when I would need a permanent set. However, this wasn't possible. The original dentist admitted that there was nothing more he could do. You can adjust and reline temps but if they're ill-fitting to begin with, they're never going to fit properly. The dentist said his lab wasn't making my temps correctly---the bite was off, my upper lip was protruding (it's called "monkey mouth", an indication the temp is too big.), and I was getting redness and sores. I was given a full refund to go to another dentist, where the temps were sent out to a lab (not made in house). The dentist offered to call around to find me a new dentist. I chose to go back to Dr. Smith since I had already had an appointment with him. I addressed my concerns at that time. I was and still am numb. I went in for my appointment and Dr. Smith didn't see me. It was the dental assistant. I explained what had happened with the previous dentist. I had to point out a painful bone spur from a failed alveoloplasty. (It's about the size of a baby tooth that sticks straight up and toward the side of my lower lip.) I told her that the previous dentist refunded my money because the temps weren't made correctly. I said I did not like the way my lip protrudes. I have to strain to close my lips. She said, "that's how they were made." I asked if they could be adjusted...was told no. She said, "Dr. Smith said they fit fine." That was 5 weeks ago. I can't even eat with them in. And, it's not a "mental thing". I've survived cancer and several major surgeries. This is nothing. It's frustrating that I'm being ignored. The original dentist told me that a soft liner would not adhere due to the hard liner he placed in the temps. I told the dental assistant. I believe she said that she couldn't get the liner out, so she did a temporary soft reline on top. (That made my lip protrude more). And, the material was peeling off that night. When calling back, a message was supposed to be relayed to Dr. Smith about the reline, a sore that's infected, and what to do next. I received a voicemail from Chrissy that said, "if you want perfect teeth, you need to go to a specialist [gave a name]". Dr. Smith didn't examine me. There's no way he would allow a family member to go around looking like they have a mouth guard in their mouth. Whenever an adjustment is made to a device, the bite should be checked. This isn't about having "perfect teeth". It's one aspect, but it's also about function...being able to eat. Oral health---not having redness, sores, or infections because the temp doesn't fit. I will not feel bad about wanting my teeth to look good and not wanting to look like a monkey. I spent $177 on a reline that began peeling off that night. Another $143 on a dental discount plan because Dr. Smith didn't take the plan I had. That's $320 wasted that I could have used for a new set of temps. But, if he thinks these look good and they fit well, it's better to know now. It saves me the hassle of dealing with permanents that look bad. Everyone deserves to look their best. read more

Excellent staff. Everyone is so nice. I have a lot of work that has to be done to my teeth. Doctor Smith makes me feel comfortable and not at all nervous. The hygienist is my favorite. She cracks me up. Everyone here makes me feel so welcome. I'm here every week, everyone knows me by name. I would highly recommend coming here for dental work. read more

Dr. Smith was amazing. Took my daughter in to have a tooth removed. She has panick attacks when she feels uncomfortable, so after several panick attacks prior to making it to the appointment, we finally made it. The staff was extremely friendly and helped her feel at ease. Explained everything they were doing to make her feel comfortable. Then it came time for the shot of Novocain. I think I was more worried than she was because I know her reactions when needles are involved. Dr. Smith pulled the perfect by spraying water in her mouth and giving her the shot...she didn't even know she got a shot, and still doesn't. He and his staff were excellent and I appreciate how we'll they were with my daughter. She now looks forward to going to the dentist. i highly recommend them. read more

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Smith's for many years. He cares for each of the people who come through his doors. Dr. Smith hires a professional and friendly staff who remember everyone. hands down worst dentist Ive ever been to!! my original dentist retired and came here because of good reviews, these people giving 5 stars must be crazy! All the tools, chairs and equipment look outdated and vintage . Its one small room with like 6 - 8 chairs in it.. like freaky crammed in ... like an old dentistry school. Matthew bounces around the patients and barely does any work. He literally has his 'dental assistants not only do cleanings but ALSO FILLINGS! after several terrible PAINFUL visits I left and decided to never come back. My new dentist was in SHOCK. She says the X- Rays Matthew took are barely usable ... crap. and questioned Matthews credentials ... next she looks and says to my horror that he decided to fill in 4 extra teeth that absolutely didn't need to be worked on.. JUST WHAT I WAS WORRIED ABOUT. This dentist is just out to make money. My new dentist says this is a big problem, because his office drilled into perfectly good enamel which could lead to problems in the future, having more fillings than necessary . The last thing my new dentist asked was why I had "new silver fillings" she warned about was the fact that Matthew likes to charge "EXTRA" for white fillings.. stating the silver is cheaper but will last longer. My new dentist assured me this is NOT TRUE. its basically the same cost.. and they will last they same length depending on how you take care of your teeth. She never uses silver because its outdated and research shows its not as good material. Overall Matthew took advantage of me, my money , my insurance, my time and most importantly : my teeth and my health. Also their building burnt down, too bad their 'temporary facility' was actually a little bit nicer than the actual office. It been over 6 months since I went here and finally know how a good dentist works.. (literally no pain, expertise at everything... shockingly different atmosphere ) I truly regret ever trusting this office. painful memory i encourage you to look for a newer facility with a experienced dentist who doesn't trust a dental assistant to fuck up your fillings. (yes I had to go back to have them fixed, terrible pain... and YES the assistant fixed it not even the actual dentist. ha ) read more
