My sister and brother-in-law were there, as was my cousin Buddy, father of Henri and Bill. OK, enough name-dropping. I'll talk about the venue itself--I really will--but I have to focus on parking, because it's an utter joke. We knew we would be late because of when we left, but we did arrive at the parking lot in time to see at least part of the opening act--or we would have, if the place's parking lot hadn't been tiny. The attendant told us to make a left and right and then turn right on the first street and look for parking there. If there wasn't any, we were to proceed to the following street, in front of the Jack in the Box, and if there was no parking there, we could probably (!) park in the Jack in the Box parking lot without getting a ticket (!!). I followed his directions to a tee, and there were no spaces on either street in indicated, and I wasn't about to get my car towed two days before I had to drive it back to San Francisco. This part of Santa Ana is all commercial and industrial businesses in strip malls with parking lots, but for some reason, there's no street parking. I would understand a no-overnight-parking restriction to prevent people from living in their vehicles, but what purpose does the current restriction serve? None, other than to frustrate would-be spenders of sales tax in Santa Ana--stupid policy. Anyway, we spent the next twenty minutes driving up and down similarly long blocks, hoping for some legal parking. Then my brother-in-law saved the day by calling us and telling us to go to the Jack in the Box parking lot and look for the guy in the safety vest. We did so, and after we paid him $20, he directed us to one of those empty business parking lots. And we still had to walk like a half-mile to the venue. The Constellation Room is part of the Observatory, which was also hosting another band in a separate room at the same time. That explains the lack of parking, but why exactly is a venue booking more bands than it has parking for? Why don't they proactively reach out to their neighbor businesses and pay them (or have us pay them) to use their empty parking lots? It makes no sense. The Observatory looks pretty cool, but we only walked through it into the Constellation Room, which also looks very neat with the lights on. When we arrived, Buddy was right next to the door, and my sister was talking to Henri's girlfriend, who was manning the merch table in the back. I walked toward my sister and proceeded to fall flat on my stomach (I broke my fall with my hands, so I didn't hit my head). There's a single large step to get up onto the platform where the table is set up, but I couldn't see it even with the lights on, and there's no handrail. I didn't care at the time besides being embarrassed, but the following week, I had a some excruciatingly painful case of sciatica that lasted almost five days, and I'm still taking steroids for it. I don't know whether that fall caused the sciatica to flare up, but it couldn't have helped, and it's the only weird jarring-type of thing that I experienced a few days beforehand. The show itself was amazing. The sound quality is really good. I'm sure it helped that I was standing against the back wall. I think they allowed in more people than the official capacity, but I didn't have to worry about crowd churn where I was standing. It's always worth it to see and support my cousins, but this venue needs some serious nuts-and-bolts work. Parking is zero stars. Get more; don't encourage people to park illegally. Maybe spend less time on the glow tape and other nice details on the venue's interior signs and ripoff-price-drink menus and add some glow tape to the edge of that single stair. For the majority of the concert, the room was a sold four-and-a-half stars.

Yes, standing room only, but decent air flow, good…read moresound, and great visibility of the stage from anywhere in the room (unless a really tall person stands directly in front of you). We came to see Tanukichan tonight and had a great time. The venue does sell drinks and food which are way overpriced. ($31 for two drinks). Parking on site $15. It was our first time here. We've been to the larger Observatory room for concerts twice before. We'll be back!

Staff working here are very nice and informative, directing you where to go. We didn't buy snacks, drinks or merch so I'm not sure how those operations function. Boy George puts on a great show. He didn't have multiple outfits like when we saw him at Hollywood Bowl, but it was very entertaining. Our seats were so good that we didn't have to stand the whole time and could still see. Which was quite nice since I'm old now and like to sit. :) We haven't seen a show here since pre-covid so I forgot what a nice place it is. Next year we'll be sure to get show tickets during the fair.

It's my 2nd time being here for a concert. The first time, it was part of an OC Fair day, while…read morethis time it was as a stand alone venue. Both times I really liked the venue. Parking was easy breezy and reasonably priced. After a pit stop and goodbyes to our friends, exiting was equally smooth as most of the crowd had already left. This venue has an intimate vibe with seating being greater than The Greek Theater but much chummier than Hollywood Bowl, when comparing outdoor venues. Its seats were a bit snug, but does that matter if you're up on your feet dancing? What's a little hip bump amongst friends? Sound was great! Full and balanced, it didn't get washed out as it filled the outdoor space. There are some food and beverage vendors, but likely because it's attached to the fair with its gajillion food options, not a wide selection. But, certainly enough to energize you through a concert. Wrist bands are given once your ID has been checked. Interestingly, medics were routinely seen patrolling the walkways while the concert was going. Most of the crowd was...ahem...of an age, so, yeah, I guess this made sense. Even though always available at any venue. I'd just never seen it so readily apparent before. When the concert was over, there was a noticeable police presence inside the venue at exit points, congregation points, and at the gates. This was not a rowdy crowd, so taken altogether, all I can guess is that they take safety and security of their patrons very seriously and in doing so, guard their reputation as a safe and desirable venue. I appreciated the cleanliness of the place. The aisle ways, the walkways, and the restrooms were debris-free and clean. As I mentioned above, we made a pit stop before we hit the road. As anyone who's seen a women's room line knows, it might take a minute. Even with the quick turnover (there are plenty of stalls) a female employee came in with a PE locker room voice loudly saying for us to "hurry it up! Let's go!" A little comedic to us actually, but found impatient by some guests, who shouted back "I'm trying to!" and "Give me a minute!" Pacific Amphitheater, I like you. I'll definitely be back.

We have also been there for seated dinner style events with Chef's and it has been amazing as well. Last night my Mom and I attended the 40th anniversary screening of the movie Clue and it was amazing! There were rows of seats and I felt we had a good amount of leg room and the seats were not the most comfortable but they worked well for the amount of time we were seated. It was so much fun, the audience was involved and we had a Q&A beforehand which was neat to learn some background of the movie. The venue has plenty of seating out in the happy hour area where you can grab a drink and snacks. Prices were reasonable, popcorn, pretzels, movie snacks, as well as more sufficient foods like pizza, flatbreads, and burgers. Parking is fairly easy in and out. We were coming in just as Angel Stadium was getting out (and it was packed Angel's vs. Dodgers) but entry was still seemless. Great venue, awesome people, and an overall amazing event last night!!!

I was told by Scott who was sitting by bench next to her who was nice and friendly and if it wasn't for him I'd missed this gallery. She needs to be replaced with someone more bubbly or with a more a positive attitude energy. This is my second time visiting the museum and it's always a pleasure walking and enjoying new and different exhibits. It's a beautiful ambience, very welcoming and peaceful.
