DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION FOR ANY TYPE OF SERVICE OR REPAIRS!!! They are useless and overbearing. Ive had so many problems with them since I've came to Honda from Mitsubishi . They are money hungry and they will inconvenience in any way possible. About a year ago I had a 2011 honda with an ac that didn't work. I brought it in to get an estimate on how much it would be to fix they told me once they replace the fluid in the system it will be fixed and only $400. I said okay i left the lot immediately my ac was not working. I called them to let them know they said to bring it back to look at it. A different person tells me thats just the first step and to fix your ac it'll be $2k!!! Nobody communicated this to me and as a result I had to hassle management to give me a partial refund! Now here I am a year later my 2018 crv has a recall for the fuel tank replacement I come in a week prior only for them to tell me once I already drove to the building that my tank needs to be under a 1/2 a tank! This was not told to me when booking the appointment so I had to come back the following week. Today I am back only for them to tell me my car will take SIX HOURS to be serviced and that if I want a temporary car I can rent from enterprise for $60!! I recently bought a certified used Jeep Gladiator from Pearson Honda. I had a great experience there with Joel and Jennifer they both were very, very, very helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we were first of all comfortable and able to purchase the Jeep. Were in and out of there in about 1.5 to 2 hours which was great. Most of the time it takes forever. Even the guy that we talked to when we were signing the final documents was nice! We talked and laughed which made it feel like it was not business deal but talking with family. Not to mention it was my birthday present! They pulled out all the stops for me they put a huge red bow on top of the vehicle. It was perfect. This is dealership is a hidden gem located in VA. I went on Amazon and bought the light assembly for $30 and within 30 minutes replaced it myself. I could understand $150 if they did it, but $550? Last time I am coming to them for any service. The bloom is off the rose. I have been singing the praises of PEARSON HONDA since my first visit. I enjoy that I can always get an appointment in a reasonable amount of time. I usually wait on the service to be performed, and when I do, I appreciate that I have a clean, comfortable place to set up my laptop and work so that the time waiting isn't in vain. I enjoy the complementary doughnut, coffee and newspaper. Everyone is always professional, and I have a satisfactory experience. That is, until my most recent visit. I made my appointment earlier in the week and was told that the A1237 code meant I needed an oil change, tire rotation, air filter, transmission fluid, and brake fluid. I added on my key fob battery and was told the price for service would be $641.90. When I arrived, I was greeted by the same impatient, older bossy man who greeted me the previous time. Visits before that, my greeter was patient and pleasant. When I checked in, I wasn't told the price until I asked and was then told it'd be $746. I asked why it was over $100 more (about $650 was what I remembered the quoted cost to be), but the gentleman couldn't explain why. He just said that was what everything cost. I wasn't happy with that answer, but I didn't make a fuss over it. An hour and twenty minutes later (I timed it--I always do), I was told my vehicle was ready, and that my tires were new, so I didn't need a tire rotation. So, imagine my surprise when my paperwork now reads that my charges are $799! Why did I receive fewer services and my cost was even MORE? When I asked the service associate about the discrepancy, he again just told me that's what things cost. He couldn't explain the increase. I also asked about the $150 labor rate. He said the $150 rate was per hour. I asked why I was being charged $425.60 in labor (which reflects nearly 3 hours) when I was only waiting for 1 1/3 hours, which should've been only $200. He explained that each service is assigned an hourly rate despite how long it actually takes to complete the job. HOW IS THAT FAIR OR LEGAL?! That is when he said he'd adjust my bill to the $650 that I remembered being quoted to resolve the issue. So, still, I left with fewer services and paid the original amount when that amount included a tire rotation. This entire scenario left me angry, feeling cheated, and never wanting to return to PEARSON HONDA again. I feel like I was cheated up to four times: - when the price went from $641.90 to $746 - when the price went from $746 to $799 - when the $650 didn't reflect the deduction of the tire rotation - when the labor was $425.60 instead of $200 I live 8 miles from the closest Honda dealer, but have chosen to drive 21 miles to Pearson because I have always felt I was treated fairly there. I no longer feel that way after this recent experience and feel that I have to find yet another dealer that will not try to take advantage of me. read more

Honesty, transparency, and good customer service would be a great start. I received none of that. I brought in a 2024 CRV to trade, pristine condition, under 1,000 miles, garage kept, and still had seat covers. David and I agreed on the price, then when he found out I was paying cash, he took that discount away which was unfair. I told him so and he said "okay," and literally got up and walked away and sat down with another customer leaving me sitting there. I should have walked out but the exact vehicle and color was there on the lot. My trade also had the original carpet mats in plastic in the cargo area and all weather mats installed. I asked for the same. Each time he came back from the sales manager, the price for the all weather mats was still on the invoice. The third time, it was fixed. I went and looked in the vehicle and there was no all weather mat in the back. I told him and he said there wasn't one in the other vehicld. I said come with me and we went to my trade and it was certainly right there. So he has them put an all weather mat in the new vehicle. Isn't that something you should check? He alao showed me literally nothing about the vehicle and sent me to the finance guy, I paid and left. The back of the vehicle has two carpeted mats - I assume from the front and none from the back seats. What???? All carpeted mats should have been in plastic and the all weather mats put in just like what I brought in with my trade . . . I should receive the same back. Additionally, the one in the back cargo area was so dirty, it looked as if it had been pulled out of a storage closet. Save yourself angst and go to West Broad Honda. read more

Have bought 4 cars over the last 15 years at this dealership. Always have gone there for service, even though 2 other Honda dealers are closer to me. NEVER again. My last service visit I was charged $150 to tell me what was wrong with my car. This charge was NOT applied to the repair charge. I was told this was a "new thing". A new way to rip off customers. Then charged me 4 hours at 150/hr to repair the filler neck on my gas tank. Way too much time and $$$ for this repair. Bill was over $1000 to replace a filler neck to my gas tank. A repair that should never need done unless there was an accident. I am done with Pearson Honda and any Pearson dealership. There are too many other choices out there. read more

Def the place to purchase your new/next vehicle. My coworker had previously worked there before and got me in touch with her friend. From the beginning, I was treated great! I had originally reached out to talk about this in June- I was not in a rush for a car but had one that I had in mind and just leisurely checking out. ~5 months later, I was getting really fed up with my current car (a Hyundai Tucson that we bought brand new)... so many engine problems and the window motor to the back seat had given out. So many issues. Anyways, I reached back out to the dealership and he got me in touch with one of his salesperson, Troy. I spoke with Troy on what my needs were and what they had on the lot. I was about to throw in the white towel and he went out of his way to check out their inventory and what they were going to have. Made sure that there was no guarantee on the delivery date but provided the best service I had (ever). It kinda tells you a lot if I traveled 50 miles to come purchase a new car at this specific location. Anyways, I put down a deposit, I completed the checklist of what was needed, and ask my questions that I had. No joke, later that week - I got a call from Troy saying that the car was coming that week. It was to be delivered on Monday but I told him that I was not able to come until the Weekend because of the distance and plans we had originally set. Super understanding and doubled checked with me the day before that I was coming to the dealership (out of respect of both of our time and schedule). Saturday came around and we headed to the dealership. We did our trade in pretty quickly (about an hour), we did our paperwork ahead of time but still had to wait because they did have other customers that were financing as well, and also pulled up all the deals/specials that they had going on. Within 2.5 hours, we were out of the lot with our new car. I've had it for about 2 weeks and just...love the car. Loved the experience and will def come back. This dealership is horrible. I called to inquire about a part for my Honda. I was given a price ($100), and asked for the part number relating to the part so I could confirm fitment to my car. I was told "We don't give those out." I'm sorry, you don't give out the part number to a Honda part? I asked why, and the parts person told me its "company policy." Honda Part numbers are NO secret, or proprietary information. I asked why; and he told me it was "to not help customers shop around and get a better price." I asked on parts? and he was dismissive and rude, and told me to feel free to all another dealer. I had a terrible experience with this dealership. I spent $4000 with them. I had to bring it back three times. It took them three attempts to do my brakes right. It's not rocket science it's brakes. When I told them that I wanted some money back for inconveniencing me. I was told I needed to go to another dealership going forward. What a joke!!!! Which is fine with me. This place is an absolute joke. Review for the service dept. My joy with them started back in 2021 when I bought my new car in MD and had to get a VA inspection done. This place is very close to my home so I made an appointment for an inspection and let the service person know I was waiting. I was told it would be an hour or so. So I waited, and waited, and waited, and waited. 3 hours later.... They forgot I was waiting. When I finally was able to track down someone in the dept they then could not find where they put my car once it was complete. Since then I drive to the dealership downtown and wait and never have an issue. Fast forward to last week I again needed an inspection and oil change and have an open recall on my car. I wasn't sure how long that would take with the recall so I decided to drop my car off the night before an appt booked for 7am. My husband drove me up there and everything was fine. I asked for the car to be ready by 10 am. Well 9:40 comes around and no word so I message the provider through the text service. He told me it was still in the shop but should be done within the hour. An hour and 15 mins later I again texted asking for an update and was told it should be done soon. I told the service rep that I'd have to come up and wait as my husband needed to go to work and I would lose my ride. When I got to the dealership around 11:40 I was told to wait as they were finishing the paperwork. At noon my car is ready, I was given the inspection report and asked about the recall. "Oh we do not have any parts for that until the fall so we didn't do anything". 1) why did it allow me to choose that as part of the service and 2) why did no one mention that. So 3) it took them 5 hours for an oil change and inspection. Wow just freaking wow. The other location normally takes maybe 1.5-2 hours tops. So yeah the only reason I went there was to drop it off for the recall work which was never going to be completed anyway. What a waste of time. No thank you. Today Alex, Service Advisor saved me over$3,000.00. I needed a new battery in my electronic car and didn't know how much this battery made a difference in steering, starting the car, etc. Unfortunately, the engine light did not go on telling me to check engine or battery but because I had issues starting the car, I did not assume it was battery related nor did I realize that a failing battery might have issues steering the car. I was told by another mechanic that my rack and pinion steering mechanicals needed to be replaced due to steering issues. In taking my car to Pearson and speaking with Alex, he indicated that to check anything related to the vehicle, I would need a functioning battery. With the newly installed battery, I can now steer safely and with no issues and can start my car without it kicking back. Thank you so much. read more

I took my Ridgeline there to have a side mirror replace after hitting a mailbox. The simple replacement of the mirror cost me $790. The part was $350 but they charge 3 and a half hours labor at $150 an hour. I dropped the truck off at 8:10 in the morning, and they called at 9:30 to tell me the job was complete. They still charged the 2 and a half hours labor because that what the "job called for." They got me for $200 and didn't even have to use a gun. read more

After making 3 trips to Pearson Honda in less than 24 hours, I need to take my vehicle elsewhere to make sure it's safe to drive. The first trip was for a routine oil and filter change. It was downhill from there due to issues caused by Pearson Honda Service. 1 Glove Box Won't Close After the routine service, I got into my vehicle, opened the glove compartment, placed the service receipt inside and attempted to close the glove box. It would not close. The only things in my glove box are the vehicle manual and a handful of napkins, so nothing of mine was blocking it. I went back into the Service Center and described what was happening. Two reps followed me out. One examined the issue, and stated that the cabin filter is located behind the glove box and whomever changes, had not put the glove box panel back together properly. Easy fix, so it didn't bother me. 2 - Incorrectly Attached Part Falls Off While I'm Driving on 288 Glove box now intact, I left Honda Pearson Service Center and headed home. Halfway there. While driving down 288, I heard a loud clank, there were some sparks from underneath and a terrible sound that was like grinding metal. I pulled over to the shoulder and there was a large metal plate hanging from my vehicle. I called the service center and they said to call a tow truck. I asked if they would be covering it, and only then did they offer me the number to a towing company they regularly use. I sat on the side of 288 for 45 minutes waiting for a tow truck. The next morning, a service rep called to let me know the splash guard had not been attached properly after the oil was changed, they replaced it, free of charge, and it was ready. 3 - Windshield Wiper Arm Detached I arrived just under two hours later to pick up my vehicle. Upon walking out to my vehicle, I noticed that my back windshield wiper was not in place, sitting horizontally, as usual, but was hanging down. I looked at the service rep and asked what happened. He had me get into the vehicle and turn the rear wiper on. It would not move. The rep said it must've happened when they washed the car after servicing it, and probably just needs a bolt tightened. I had to take my daughter somewhere, so I had to leave and then drive 30 minutes back. Pearson Honda is not close to me, nor on the way to anywhere I was going. 4 - Another Incorrectly Attached Part After returning to Pearson Honda, the third visit in less than 24 hours, I waited while the back wiper was repaired. I was told the bolt had backed out so it was sitting in place, but not attached. However, I had not ever experienced any issues with it. Never loose or unresponsive. It didn't even jiggle when I closed the hatched. Once it was done, I was being led back to me vehicle by a rep, however, another service center rep stopped him, whispered something to him and he walked off to look at the back of my vehicle. The other two looked at me and said "The wiper should be attached to the left, but it's on the right". This was not a mechanic, who saw the error. This was a Customer Service Rep in the service department who noticed it as it went by. They try to operate the wiper, but it doesn't move, so I wait, again, as they remove and reattach the blade. 5 - Several Scratches That Were Not Previously There There are 4 small, but clear knicks in the bumper paint; and there is a long scratch on the bottom part of the driver's side door. The very bottom part that is more like a hard plastic. I missed a movie date and lunch with an out of town friend; and spent extra time and gas having to drive back and forth. At this point, I wouldn't trust them to fix a pair of roller skates. read more

I was so excited to get a Honda last year & did a little research on this location vs west broad Honda. I ended up purchasing a 18' accord. I love my car so Thankyou for that but the SERVICE at this location is horrible. The technicians are very fast, I usually wait & it takes about 40 min. But EVERY SINGLE TIME I visit them I have a coupon they have emailed or mailed to me. I ask EVERYTIME at check in can you make sure the coupon is on my ticket. 1st visit - the lady says it will be then I literally had to argue with the Cashier about actually applying it. She kept turning to the lady behind her saying "we don't send these in email anymore" I show her I received it 2 days prior so with an attitude she finally claims it's applied & I pay. Look at how much she charged me and it's not so she ends up refunding me $17 ! Now listen a few dollars I might let slide but a whole $17 difference, NO I want my coupon. 2nd visit- lady at express checkout says synthetic oil change is 69.95 so $39.95 price is a discount and I cannot use the 10% off for "scheduling online" they mailed to me. I'm like ok w/e, proceed to get my oil change. The lady who rings me out applies the 10% off with no questions asked. I even asked her what's the reg price for oil change she says 39.95. Now what I really hate about this location is they pretty much HARRAS you for good reviews (which is how I made my initial decision to purchase from them) you will be emailed, called, texted NUMEROUS times to get a review. Even after you leave them one. When I first bought my car my salesman was very nice and he explained that he was new to Honda form bmw so asked for a review which I thought was just increase his sales being that he was new but as I visited more technicians Would come to after service and say "can you please leave a good review on google, it's my likelihood around here" I feel bad they pressure there employees to get good reviews so they can increase sales. Another HUGE CON IS (agreeing with prev reviews) THEY PULL YOUR CAR INTO SERVICE WHEN DONE, and JUST LEAVE IT THERE WITH THE KEYS INSIDE!!!! Never have I everrrrrr seen this done. They don't even tell you where it is or hand you your keys back in your hand so unless you are paying attention your car can be sitting behind others and not even know it. read more

They don't listen, the are short with you and assume more than they should. I had an issue with my battery and out of the gate he said it was $115 to even bring it in. Other Honda dealers are not the same and charge nothing. I am in the market to buy a new car and I will not be going to Pearson even though I have bought cars there before. I waited 1hour and 30 minutes (no one came to check on me in the waiting area) which led me to get up to see what was going on. The wait for service here is horrendous. I am not sure what has changed over the past 2 years. I scheduled an appointment with Honda to only have to wait for my car to be diagnosed after waiting for close to 3 hours. Each time I checked in with the service rep, he doesn't seem to have an update or estimated time of how long the wait will be. I find this to be inconsiderate for a large establishment running a business. The customer service has declined tremendously. They took 9.5 hours to replace our battery. Service is always very slow and they often make you sit waiting for 20-30 minutes after the car is finished because there isn't anyone around. This stems from many visits over the past 5 years. Always the same. Most recent trip, after the battery debacle and my wife waiting in their waiting area with our nine month old for hours, they tried to get us to pay almost $1,000 for a part that they said was damaged because we tried to replace the battery ourselves. When we told them we didn't replace the battery ourselves they relented a bit. When asked if the car would still work without this $1,000 part we were told yes but that there would be errors on the dash. When we finally got our car back, there were no errors! Just some good old fashioned dealership lies to try to steal $1,000 from a customer who has been loyal despite how utterly miserable dealing with this place is. No more. This place is honestly disgraceful. Believe the other reviews on this. Customer service is abysmally slow. The managers simply do not care. What is worse, they try to trick you into services that are unnecessary, as many other people have documented. read more

In complete disarray, I noticed my inspection sticker had expired. Nervous I wouldn't be able to find an appointment, I called Pearson Honda where the receptionist politely answered the phone and worked her magic to fit me in the following day. Upon arrival, there were service lane attendants who welcomed me to the facility and kindly showed me where to check-in. A Service Rider acknowledged me right away and talked me through what was needed. The waiting area is accommodating to all, with a work space or kid friendly area. After a short wait, I was ready to go and will definitely use this as my primary facility for car servicing. The only reason I left a star off was because I needed new air filters that were not changed. I noticed that once I returned home. Upon calling I was advised they were not needed, but would have appreciated the pro-active awareness. I have bought 4 vehicles from Pearson over the last 20 years. Always been happy with the service and sales. But my opinion has changed since my last service appointment. I drive over 30 miles to get to Pearson, and there are two other Honda dealers closer. I did this because of the service I used to get at Pearson. I took in my Ridgeline because I was getting a service light and an AWD problem warning. They worked on my car and said they fixed the warning light issue, can't remember exactly what it was, and they fixed my AWD problem. Two days later my service light came back on and the AWD problem came back on. I do not think they fixed anything. I called back and left a message for my service advisor, they never returned my call. I think I am done with Pearson. I found a local mechanic who is great. Too bad, now when I go to buy my next Honda, it will not be 30 miles away. I will go to the dealer on my side of town. read more

Wanted to pay a compliment to their parts and service area. A few years ago I dealt with Johnnie Willis on some parts I was buying for a new Accord. Great experience handling by email. More recently, my wife returned with an issue with our Odyssey and she dealt with Clint Davis. He could not have been better in his professional and courteous treatment. We felt very well taken care of. We did not buy our Honda from here as it turns out, but their service has been excellent in the things that have popped up. Kudos! read more

It's a given that Honda is a great car. My Accord is a 2008 with 350,000 miles on it, bought from Pearson. But the other thing that's really GREAT about having this car all these years is the service department. They know what they're doing. I have kept up with the maintenance reminders and have never had a breakdown. They replaced a tie rod during inspection last year, but that's to be expected with a car this old and with this much mileage. Accords are kind of bland looking, but the bottom line is -- They work. And the mechanics know their work. I would have a really hard time going some place else for a new car. read more

If I could give a ZERO I would. They did work to our vehicle without explaining the costs. Their labor was ridiculously charged and they refused to lower the rate charged. Sitting here right now. No idea where our sales person went (which is a positive because he has already incorrectly answered questions about the car we're interested in). Watching others continually ask the receptionist for help, she pages sales department, but no one comes to help them. Between the misinformation provided by our sales person (incredibly not knowledgeable) and the frustration from those sound me, it's a miracle this place is still open. read more

Service is very poor, I took my car there a few months ago and was told my timing was off and, it wasn't but I was still charged for the technician guess work, then they replaced the starter 1200 dollars later here I am on the side of the road with the same issue. I've been trying to reach out to the service department manager and, the general manager for a week and a half there always busy or on vacation, I will never recommend this place read more

Made an appointment to repair a paint defect covered under warranty. Scheduled it such that Pearson would have the car for the week I was away on vacation during spring break. I was told the warranty approval process takes 24-48 hours from American Honda Motors (AHM). This was the same thing AHM had told me over the phone. When I returned a week later the paint work had not been touched and I was told through an Pearson assistant that the service manager stated that AHM takes 3-4 weeks to approve paint warranty claims. I called AHM and they were baffled why he would say that. I picked the car up and will take it somewhere else. Trust betrayed. read more

I desperately needed to get my oil changed and I wanted to get it done by a Honda certified technician using the proper oil for my vehicle. I know it sounds kind of unnecessary but since my car is still relatively new I wanted to do everything I can to help maintain it as best as I could. No appointment needed but I scheduled one anyway so I didn't have to wait. I came right after work and there was almost no wait. You can actually pull into the waiting area and they will drive your car to the shop. The service technician was super friendly and I really wished I could remember his name.. I think it was Scott. He was courteous and got all the paperwork done without much to do on my part. I waited in the waiting room and walked around a bit for about 30 mins and my car was done. Please get the coupon online for oil/filter change (regardless of type) and a tire rotation PLUS a car wash all for $35! It was such a good deal, compared to some other auto shops and they only do the oil/filter change. They couldn't wash my car because of my bike rack but that wasn't a big deal. Several employees came up to me and asked if I needed any help when I was walking around the dealership so I appreciated that. The next time I need to get my oil change I will come here! read more

I can't say enough good things about the service at Pearson Honda. I do not trust anyone else with my Honda CR-V. I have taken my car to other mechanics and they have told me they do not know what is wrong with it. But every time I take it to Pearson they diagnose the problem and fix the issue! They are always very nice AND they don't over charge me. I feel like I'm getting good fair service every time I go. Thank you Pearson Honda! Side note: they are very busy for good reason so I would recommend dropping your car off and picking it up later. read more
