I came to this place for the last 3 years. I recently got an exam, contacts and replacement lenses for an existing frame. BIG mistake. The glasses are warped and ruined. I came in and expressed concern twice only to learn they have a no refund policy on lens replacements. So now I'm out $200 and ruined my glasses. In coming back to express concern, I received the most insulting customer service I've experienced in years. My eye exam was awful. Cost was not disclosed to me beforehand. I had asked about contacts prior to my eye exam, and they performed the 'contacts' examination without asking me or discussing the cost with me. Afterwards, they charged me $100 for the exam without telling me. When I requested an itemized receipt post-examination, I was told it was 'not possible' to print one for me to see before I paid and that it would be emailed to me much later. Upon receiving the itemized receipt, they also charged me $22 extra dollars for a 'class' to try on my contacts without discussing with me whatsoever. They told me it was impossible to even receive my contact prescription until I pay and take the mandatory class which was not discussed until calling after. I had to call twice to receive a partial refund and was told I would not be refunded $100 for the exam as it was already done on me, without my knowledge or consent. read more

I had an amazing experience at Pearle Vision (15681 N Hayden Rd Scottsdale AZ) with Marcela. I explained that this would be my backup set of glasses and that since cataract surgery, my eyes are so light-sensitive that I need darkest Rx sunglasses for day, transition for night (& if I forgot sunglasses) & this will be my THIRD Rx for new lenses. You're not supposed to need any change of lenses after the surgery. I get the main pair at Costco which doesn't take my insurance and is cheapest anyway. Pearle takes it and Marcela found me a phenomenonal deal and my 3rd pair was $80.... amazing. I love her. Call & ask when she's there; lovely woman & great salesperson. Thank you Marcela! read more

There is nothing wrong with getting your eye exam here, but I would take the prescription elsewhere. Their selection is limited and all "the same" in look and the answer I got was "that's the style now," which is fine except it's untrue. There are lots of other size and style options at other providers. My biggest issue, however, is that we booked an appointment for my son and ordered glasses to be delivered before he returned to school across the country. We wouldn't have purchased any glasses at all if there was any indication he could not get them before returning to school. His exam and purchase was a week before Christmas, and he ordered glasses based on being told they would arrive right after Christmas. Well, they did not arrive until the third of January, by which time he had returned to college across the country. We called on the 29th to find out where they were and they told us they would call when they arrived "probably tomorrow but certainly by the 2nd." I finally called today (the 8th) and they did not in fact call but texted a land number. Thumb's down on the customer service. read more

Wonderful experience as a walk-in. Found the exact size prescription sunglass frames I needed for a trip I was taking. The lenses I had from a previous broken frame fit were fitted while I was there. I was good-to-go within 10 minutes. Highly recommend this specific location!!! read more

Brittany was my salesperson and was absolutely wonderful - professional, knowledgeable - knew just what I wanted and what I would not like nor want. I am a limited person when it comes to frames - they need to be petites and not larger than a 49 width. So this is the second time I have been there. I walked in, there were no other customers and the salespeople there systematically ignored me. I tried on about 8 pairs of glasses, nobody asked to help. Then when I was getting ready to leave, a short Asian lady asked me to "Let her know if I needed anything." then she went back to typing on the computer. I have been a customer for about 5 or 6 years, and I have had just okay service. This year, I have got a complaint that is really annoying. Over the last 3 weeks, I have called and left multiple messages for someone to call me back to set up an appointment to get new lens, since it is scratched. I went into the call tree, was asked to leave a message and a call back number and I did. All I needed to do was replace my lens on my glasses. Today I called again, and I did get to speak to someone live. They advised that my prescription had expired last week and that I would be required to have an appointment with the doctor. I explained this set of events about calling and leaving messages, but with no call back. The attending person on the phone explained that this was unfortunate but she could not budge from requiring me to have another doctor appointment to renew the prescription. I really see this is a friction oriented process for a customer. To then have them be inflexible due to their error... and then only to have them say ... Sorry, it's really too bad. It's just wrong on any level. They could do something about this, but they chose not to. Awful customer service. read more

Very pleased with this Pearle Vision. Went in to have my sons eyes checked and the Dr. Matt Campouris was phenomenal. Very courteous and patient. He explained things very well and walked us through the process. Even the initial exam with the gal was good. She cleaned the machines in front of us with a sanitizing pad. And she was very gentle with helping my son position himself comfortably to do the exam. The place was clean and they have a very nice selection of glasses. As we usually have to take a bathroom stop, I was pleasantly surprised the bathroom was pretty clean. Nice location. I would definitely recommend. read more

I have been a loyal customer for 4 years and referring many of my coworkers to this store and this month I spent 400$ for 2 Pairs of glasses and a pair of contact lenses and at the time of payment I forgot to use my 50$ coupon the Pearl Vision had MAILED me. I went back and Dave manager refused to redeem my coupon, the worse customer service ever! coupons are suppose to attract customers not to reject customers. Absolutely horrible. I brought my frames in to have new lenses made for them. When I went to pick them up I looked at them and they weren't my frames. Someone stole my frames, either from the store or the lab, and replaced them with similar ones of a different color. Never will I shop with Pearle Vision again. read more

DO NOT GO THERE! Worst customer service! Myself, son and husband all went here for our annual vision screening and to purchase glasses and contacts. EACH TIME, they argued about the co payment and EACH time they had to refund me the co pay because they were wrong. It took FOREVER to get the glasses and then with in 2 weeks my frames broke. IT IS NATION WIDE COMPANY POLICY TO REPAIR OR REPLACE WIHTIN THE FIRST 30 DAYS, regardless of warranty. This was first and last time using Pearle Vision for my vision needs. I was told that my glasses would be in within 5-7 business days. I never received a call stating my glasses were ready for pick-up, so I called the store. Much to my surprise, I was put on hold for a significant amount of time and then was told there had been a delay in processing. Really?? Basic single vision lenses...I was informed that it would be another week before they arrived. I am extremely dissatisfied as I paid $300+ and have yet to see (no pun intended) what I paid for. I waited an hour for my eye exam before leaving without ever being seen. I arrived early before my appointment. Never once did the staff say a word about the wait or how much longer it would be. The only problem I've had with this location is there are not nearly enough good opticians. Every time I've been there I've seen the Opthomologist quickly, and Dr Mathew C is wonderful. Nevertheless, once I have my glasses, I've had to wait long periods of time to have them fitted or corrected; even with an appointment. Disappointing really. as I love this location otherwise. Have been a customer for many years here and in Colorado. Had a really really bad experience recently. Mr. Lee read my prescription and ordered lenses. After a few weeks of 'trying to get used to them' I went back after my ophthalmologist told me she felt they were not cut correctly. Again I saw Mr Lee who tried to 'make them work' but could not and I asked that they be redone and he ordered new lenses with my old frames. In the meantime I could only wear my sunglasses during the wait as the ones he had done before were unable to be used - at all. When I returned to pick up the new ones, I made it a point to stop by and say thank you to him (he was with another customer) and he snidely said, where are the old ones I want them back (they were also in my frames). I was wearing my sunglasses and didn't have them with me. Today I made the long trip back up there to return 'his' lenses and will never step foot in this place again nor recommend it to anyone. Nor will my husband who has been a customer even longer than I have and was in the lobby during both exchanges. In a day when eye care, lenses and the work is so very expensive, professional customer service should be a must and should be exhibited by the general manager first. Since Lee IS the General Manager I hope that someone above him is reading this review. Also never was there any apology for the waste of my time nor the drive for their mistake. Dr. Campouris is great and the staff is friendly. The part I hate is how they handle shipping for contacts. I ordered contacts last Thursday. The staff could not provide a delivery date and they said they could not get a shipment until the weekend. How is that acceptable in today's day and age? I certainly understand if they don't want to cover the costs for next day or Saturday delivery, but how about giving that option to their customers? I'd gladly pay for the quick delivery, but instead I'm held hostage. I had asked for my prescription so I could take it elsewhere for faster filling, but when Pearle sent me the prescription, it was missing some of the info; seems like a trick to force orders through Pearle. I couldn't spend more time back and forth, so I called back and ordered from Pearle. Today is Tuesday...I called Pearle and the contacts are still not in. The lady said that they have not gotten their deliveries yet today, so she didn't know when it would come in. I find that baffling. If I were ordering inventory for my company, you better believe that I would know when it was scheduled to arrive. It would seem that they could check their order and shipment histories to check delivery. But, what do they care? I had to pay in advance, so they have my money and can take their own sweet time. At the end of the day, they are keeping their costs down at the expense of customer service or even providing customer options. I will not order my contacts through them again. I will continue going there for eye exams. read more
