They have the small town feel with the big city knowledge and equipment. Dr. Kocks is amazing. He is very personable and really breaks down any questions you didn't even know you had. They have every bell, whistle and stop when it comes to your exam if you elect to do so. They don't pressure you to do it, but it's nice that it's an option. They have a wide range of glasses and the people that are there to help you want you to look and feel great. They aren't trying to push the most expensive line at you. I had allowed 1 1/2 hours which I thought was plenty of time. After waiting 30 minutes past the scheduled appt time, I approached the receptionist to let her know the Dial-a-ride bus would be coming in about an hour to pick us up. She commented that things may be tight but said nothing else. We were not called back to start the appt until 55 minutes after the appt time. I explained that we only had 30 min until our bus would be coming and we could get as much done within the time and would have to return to finish anything. We got a test completed and an initial exam by the assistant. It was then almost time to leave. After another 10 minutes of waiting for the doctor, we left the exam room. We had 5 min until our ride was scheduled to pick us up. When we got out to the lobby, the bus had arrived early and the receptionist said she had sent him away. Who was she to make that decision without even telling us what she was doing! We went outside and the receptionist came out to justify her actions. Not to apologize, just to claim she was in the right to send the bus away. The family member, who is 88 yrs old, told the receptionist she had f'd things up. I then took over the conversation and explained to the receptionist that she had no business sending the bus away, and what she had done was inappropriate. No profanity was used in my part of the conversation. We had to call dial-a-ride twice and after 40 minutes we finally got a ride back to the assisted living facility. I tried to schedule another appt, but was told It was denied by the doctor because profanity was used.
