Vision coverage through insurance has become so confusing and limiting to choice of covered providers. So it has been many years since I was happy and satisfied with the optometrist's expertise and customer service. So we are thankful to have found Oakland Vision Center. Your eyes are pretty darn important to your life so don't mess up going to a optometrist who may not be up to par and may not have the correct diagnostic equipment. I am bringing my whole family here from now on.

I chose Oakland Vision Center for several reasons, so I made an appointment. When I walked in the office I saw the office staff were helping one elderly lady. They were helping her with kindness, just like they would do for their grandmother. I was answering questions as a new customer when the phone rang. She answered the phone and asked them to hold on while continuing to helping me. Then soon after, one worker came out from back and asked her to help the person on the phone, and she took the tablet to continue filling out the form for me. They work together to provide the best possible service for all their customers. When I was selecting a frame for my glasses, one lady helped me find the frame I was looking for. I am glad that I chose this place.

BEWARE OF THEM STACKING ON PRICES and know what all your insurance benefits are!!!!…read moreOn August 02, 2023 my daughter and I went to Main Fashion Optical where we were helped by an employee named Stefany Lopez. I went in for contacts and my daughter wanted glasses. With my VSP insurance Stefany told me for the 6 month supply it's $26 and for the year I would pay $150 out of pocket. Then she told me that I was paying about $160 for my daughter's glasses. She charged my card $350. So the lies started here. It took 3 weeks to be able to pick up the contacts and the glasses. They handed me 2 boxes ( 1 box for each eye) when I was supposed to get 4 boxes. Then I looked at the enclosed receipt and I was charged $190 for 2 boxes of contacts. Mind you they use 1800 contacts to order your contacts. So they are adding extra money on top of the discounted price of the contacts. I was told on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 that I couldn't get a refund until I've spoken to Stefany and Maya (the manager). Stefany refused to provide the phone number at the office in Passaic where Maya was working. Maya is the only person who can process a refund. She is prompt when returning phone calls but she's very dismissive. I explained several times what happen and she replied I didn't provide stefany with my insurance. Now how does that make sense when they processed my insurance for my daughter? Then she tried to say I was ordering color contacts and told me it cost $95 per box. That was incorrect because I needed the Alcon air optic for astigmatism and stefany ordered Alcon air optic plus hydraglyde for astigmatism. So my total order is incorrect on top of the charge. Maya calls me back then tried to offer me the contacts for a low price of $80 per box. After that wasn't good enough she said they don't match prices and doesn't use 1800 contacts. That's funny when stefany was able to offer me the contacts at $59.99 per box then times 4= $239.96. So now Stefany want to take that $239.96-$164 (the difference for 6 month supply)=$75.96, but she stated if I would give her $75.96 more dollars it will all be squared away. Now why would I do this or pay anymore money when I've already been overcharged? My insurance covers $130 so how or why would I need to pay $190 or anything extra on top of that. Now Maya calls me back for a 3rd time and finally ask for my husband's info so she can indeed look at my insurance. So the 4th and final time on this day she called me back with an offer she never does. I can get the 2 extra boxes for $170 and she will refund me $20. By doing this she's still not using my insurance but just trying to make me go away and still be out of money. I told her I have 2 boxes and for 2 boxes I will pay $26 and that I want $164 refunded to me when she comes into the office. My daughter's billing was done correctly and I did get refunded but it wasn't a smooth process. It took 3 days to get resolved. The only issue I had with my daughter's glasses was that they billed my insurance company for the polycarbonate lens when that wasn't never discussed. Also, now stefany isn't allowed to now show customers the 1800 contacts pricing. Just shady shady business. I wouldn't recommend this place because of these two. Sorry to the kind lady who works beside stefany. She was extremely pleasant. I wish I knew her name to state it.

I have been going to Doctors Jeffrey Warshay Office for 3 years and sadly my last experience there…read morewith the personal was horrible. I had order my contacts lenses once before with Doctor Warshay and they ordered me the right size lenses and I was satisfy, but I came back next year (2013) and I decided to order from them from Doctor's Warshay again but, this time when I found out they order me the wrong size contact lenses which I can not wear them at all because, they are bigger and when I blink they bother me or they come out of my eyes. I called the office and spoke to the office Manager and I explained to her my concern. She told me they couldn't do anything about it because, I opened the box of the wrong size lenses they ordered me. I fallowed by asking her who I can talk to about this matter other then her, because, she was not helping me at all and I need new contacts and it's Christmas season I don't have the money to buy more at the moment. She expressed to me by saying "that's not her problem" I then, said to her so, can you tell me who fault is it and she said "Nobody" when I know if I had order them myself I should had placed the right size order and if I see that they don't carry my size I would had not placed the order. Then, I kept asking her to let me talk to the Dr. Warshay myself and she said "we already talk to him about this matter there's NOTHING he can do for you". All I wanted was an explanation why I got the wrong size lenses which I payed already and they couldn't fix their own mistake. I am not the kind of person who complains at all but, in this case I felt ignored and disrespected when I expressed my concern. Now, when I told the office manager that I was going to write a review and a letter her response to me was the words "OKAY" as simple as that and then she hanged up the phone. Doctor Jeffrey Warshay and his office manager didn't have any concern about my situation. Now, what I suppose to do? I have no money to buy new contact lenses and most important I didn't get the costumer service that I was expecting from Doctor Warshay's office. I'ts really sad to come along with people like these who, only take your money but, they have no concern about your well being. I learned about this experienced and this feeling of hopelessness that I should remember this feeling very clear so, I don't do it to anyone of my costumers. I'ts sad to get screwed over like this from somebody you expect a lot of more from his part.
