The customer service was pretty good. The prices compared to like companies is high but we were generally happy. The only negative, I have an allergy to Pet hair. One dog was roaming around and another gated in a room that was open. The dogs seemed to be well behaved but the one roaming about was constantly rubbing against my leg and wanting attention. I am not an animal hater, I just think a business should be mindful that some customers may be allergic or even uncomfortable. All in all we will certainly go back. read more

Who in their right mind... would be happy to hear they need surgery? Me. I just got out of the amount Pleasant Pearle Vision where Dr. Willingham and his staff checked out my eyes. Previously they weren't bad enough to have the surgery, but now I'm an ideal candidate. Anna, Lydia, Kalyn & Leonard were all great in moving me through the process. It was actually an enjoyable experience. They've referred me to Dr. Waring, who is supposed to be an excellent eye surgeon. I couldn't be happier. Now I might actually get to see my golf ball when I hit it. Woot!! I highly recommend Pearle Vision right here in Towne Center to take care of your vision needs. My review is way overdue. Last December I needed to fill my prescription before my insurance expired. LaToya was extremely helpful and patient with me! She seems to know exactly what will look right on someone, and immediately got to work having me try on things. Little did she know how much time she would end up spending with me, because I am annoyingly indecisive!! I think it took me three trips at least before I decided on a pair. In the time she spent with me she could have sold 15 other people glasses! Yet, she NEVER let on that I was driving her crazy! I have to give her extra credit as well for her expertise, because on my behalf she had to deal with a situation I had with another provider and she knew exactly how to handle it, with aplomb. Waited a week for an appointment here, they called twice to confirm, showed up today and waited 20 minutes then get pre exam, waited another 20 minutes and then the assistant came out to tell me the doctor was running "late".... totally unprofessional. The doctor wasn't even at the shop... Stay away, there are several other places within a mile that will actually see you when scheduled. read more

Bought my glasses here two years ago. I called and asked if I could bring them in to be adjusted since they were loose and the glass was sticking out on one side of the glasses. They said sure and that it was free of charge. Went today, no one was there except a sales associate and manager. I gave the sales associate my glasses and explained my situation. She took them and said I'll see what I can do. She came out and got the manager and they went back together to fix them. When she handed them to me, I tried them on and they still were loose. I asked if she could tighten them some more. She said no I can't. I said okay thank you then. The manager I believe could tell I was dissatisfied but instead of helping she just said thank you and looked back at her computer screen when I walked out. The whole time no one else came in and yet they both seemed burdened by me. Next pair of glasses, I can promise you, I won't be purchasing from them. Poor customer service. read more

Guys I am all for fairness in service but I have been a loyal customer of this 16 years. I have ordered every pair of glasses from them. Last year I had welding fail on an $600 pair of Prada frames and I had to push to get them replaced. The replacement pair has done the same thing and I went to then today and was told they would do nothing about the failed same problem. Honestly I was appalled by their decision not to help. So first don't buy Prada glasses that a a combination wire frame. Their welding fails. I am the person that puts my glasses on with both hands and they go right into the case. LaToya has that uncanny ability to size someone up quickly to assess what they want and need. LaToya suggested several frames that I might not have chosen for myself and guess what- I loved them all! I was double charged for a pair of glasses. On the day they were ordered, I was supposed to pay half and then pay the other half at delivery. I handed over a credit card, was given a receipt for 1/2 the total, but ultimately found out my card was charged the full price. My son returned a few days later to pick up the glasses and was told to pay the other 1/2 which he did. I never noticed this until looking at my end of month credit card statement. My wife went back to get a refund, which took about 40 minutes and was not accompanied by any meaningful apology. My wife requested that the error be credited back to the card that was double charged but the store insisted on crediting my son's card. It was clear that the store was never going to say anything about the error. Miserable customer service. read more

As usual, my daughters appointment was specific and agreed upon in advance (you actually sign the amount due before your child goes back to see the Dr). However, once my daughter, obviously a minor, was in the chair the Dr asked for her permission to run additional examinations. never checking with the parent. But then hands me a bill for them!!! Very happy the could accommodate me. On vacation and lost my prescription sunglasses in the ocean. Had my eye Doctor send my script down to me. They don't usually do same day presentations. Cable went down and there was no internet. They couldn't take payment. But, they went ahead and got my glasses started. Next day, all done. And stylish too! read more

I've shopped at Pearl Vision in Mt Pleasant several times over the last few years and always had a great experience. They have a large selection of frames and sunglasses and a knowledgeable and friendly staff. Pattie has helped me several times and Lani helped me recently when I needed to have a pair of glasses repaired. I only needed one lense replaced and they completed the repair in an hour and ended up replacing both lenses but just charged me for the one. Thanks for always going the extra mile and I'll be back the next time I need to buy new glasses! read more

I first would like to say the Eye Care doctors were excellent. However, had I known what I know now, I would have taken my prescriptions elsewhere to be filled. Or to be perfectly honest, visited an entirely different facility. As for Pearl Vision store, the real issue is they do not listen to your needs. If I had been advised properly, I would not have had to purchase three pairs of glasses (only one pair covered by insurance), costing me over $650. I was easily persuaded into "you need these...glasses are expensive and it's just what they cost these days" No, it is a way for you to make money! The next issue was the back and forth of picking up the glasses. The phone calls, "your lens came in wrong, we have to send them back and it will be a few more days" (all three pairs)! I have been wearing glasses for the past ten years and NEVER had I ever had the number of issues with lens and customer service. If you have a choice, go somewhere else...I sure wish I had!!! read more

A place I felt very comfortable going to. I spent multiple hours here with my mother choosing glasses the first time. Lanny was great. Went back to check on my glasses coating which had worn or been scratched off. Decided to wait on getting new lenses to price check in my home city for ease of pick up and drop off as well as timing. Ended up calling back to get more information regarding pricing and types of coating. I was friendly on the phone though not as articulate as I would have liked. Ended up talking to two people, the first one gave me incorrect information and the second one was rude, impatient, and practically shouted at me over the phone. I won't go back even if they are priced more economically. read more

I have had significant difficulties over the past 15 years with headaches with my glasses and pain behind the ears and right above the ears from pressure on the temples and ears region. The head of the optician dept is the best optician I have ever worked with. For the first time in many years and literally 40 opticians offices in Virginia and South Carolina I can have glasses that I like for their style and they don't hurt significantly behind the ears and temples. There are not the headaches anymore as well. Pattie has so much knowledge and expertise that she knows what to do to adjust the glasses just right. I am not exaggerating with having gone to 40 locations to have my glasses adjusted and I have tried about 18 pairs of glasses. She and the other folks here are so patient and kind that I have referred family and friends here. I am so thankful for Pattie's knowledge and expertise- my life was frankly becoming difficult with work and home life due to the pain behind the ears, temple regions and the headaches. There are not many locations that have the years of experience that she has to handle situations with eyeglasses. You could try to go to another location but it would not be a wise decision because you may find out that in the end she is the best there is in Virginia and South Carolina. read more
