If I could leave zero stars, I would. I have been a Pearle Vision customer for years, and this Sahara and Cimarron location used to be the one place I trusted. I previously had a great experience with Chris, one of the managers, and even gave this location praise because he helped correct a serious issue I had with my lenses and frames in the past. That is what makes this experience so disappointing. This is not about normal scratches. This is not about me being careless with my glasses. These are visible stress fractures in both lenses. I drive for a living, so my glasses are not optional. I need them every day, and now I am looking through fractured lenses that cause discomfort and make something as basic as driving more frustrating than it should ever be. This issue has happened more than once with Pearle Vision products. In the past, I was told there were known issues with lenses, materials, manufacturing, and even the wheels used to grind or bevel lenses. At the time, I was told those problems had been corrected. Chris previously replaced my frames and lenses, and I appreciated that because it felt like someone actually cared about making it right. Fast forward to my most recent pair, and the same type of problem started again. Stress fractures began forming in both lenses after only about two months. I am extremely careful with my glasses. I keep them in their case, I do not expose them to extreme heat, I do not abuse them, and I clean them with soap and cold water. There are no normal scratches causing this. If I had dropped them, damaged them, or caused this myself, I would take responsibility and simply buy new glasses. That is not what happened here. Today, I stopped into an outside eye care office and asked a simple question about why lenses develop stress fractures like this. The optometrist examined my glasses, popped the lens out, and immediately pointed out the problem. He explained that the lenses were slightly too large for the frames and were sitting too tightly. He also pointed out that the inside of the frame did not appear to be properly finished or smoothed, and that rough contact along the bevel area could contribute to micro-fissures starting at the lens edge. Once those stress fractures start, they can spread. He even demonstrated what a properly fitted lens should feel and sound like when it comes in and out of a frame like this. Mine was not smooth. It was tight and clearly under pressure. After hearing that, I called Pearle Vision because at this point I did not want another temporary fix. I wanted a refund so I could take my prescription and go somewhere else. The woman on the phone looked at my file and told me I was past the 30-day mark, and since the glasses had already been replaced once, they likely would not do anything. I asked about a refund, and she said I would need to speak with a manager. Then she put me on a brief hold and came back saying there was no manager available until Monday. I decided to go in anyway just to get my prescription and be done with it. When I arrived, Chris was there. I was surprised to see him, and he was surprised to see me. That matters because I had just been told no manager would be there until Monday. When I explained what the outside optometrist told me, there was no real interest in resolving the issue, replacing the frames, offering a refund, or taking responsibility for what appears to be a product and fitting problem. The response was basically that they did not know what was causing it. That is unacceptable. I have spent money with Pearle Vision. I trusted this location. I gave them multiple chances. I was patient when earlier issues happened. But at this point, this has become a pattern: lens problems, stress fractures, product quality issues, and now no meaningful resolution. The most frustrating part is that these glasses affect my daily life. I need them to drive. I need them to work. I need them to see clearly. Instead, I am stuck looking through fractured lenses while being told there is nothing they can do because of a 30-day policy and because they already replaced them once. That is not customer care. That is not standing behind your product. That is not acceptable for prescription eyewear. I will not be returning to Pearle Vision, and I would strongly warn anyone having repeated lens issues, stress fractures, bubbling, or frame-fit problems to get a second opinion from another eye care professional before accepting blame for something that may not be your fault. This experience has been heartbreaking, frustrating, and completely unacceptable. read more

I filled my paperwork online well in advance on my visit however, when I got there, I was asked to fill out the paperwork again. From the online forms, it is evident that certain additional exams for your retina or other things are completely optional, and you don't have to undergo those exams. However, the lady at the front desk put them down as part of the visit which brought my co-pay from 10 to over 50 for the same visit. When I asked her why she selected those services she said that they're part of the eye exam for wellness. I said OK but are they mandatory? To which again she responded they are part of the wellness of the eye exams. So I asked again. And she said "no." Because I'd already filled out the paperwork online I knew that I could opt out of it. So after second thought, I decided to not give these people my business because it was a deceptive technique to add services to my visit without my consent and just trying to nonchalantly make them pass as part of the visit. This is mostly infuriating because of how hard certain people have to work to make those extra 50 bucks. No ethics. read more

Out of all the pearle visions ive been to, this is by far the best location. Their store manager kris and the doctor that saw both my son and i, i believe her name is kara, were both exceptionally great! The doctor explained everything to me and my son very well. She even made my son feel confident about his astigmatism by reinforcing that being different isnt bad at all. When we got out of the appointment, the manager kris had already picked out glasses for my son just from the small conversation we had before being seen. He believed my son would have like it and he guessed right! My son loved those frames the most. He also helped answer any of my questions i had being new to the optical industry. Its worth the wait to talk to him imo, hes very informative about everything and very kind! It sucks that this location is getting low ratings due to issues out of their hand, like the call center and/or a long wait time. The times ive been there, it was only kara working and because shes very informative and thorough, im not surprised if her patients are asking her all kinds of questions...making the wait time even longer. However, i cant vouche for the other employees....every time i go i only make sure to talk to the ones i trust and that is kris and kara. read more

I'm a long time contact lens wearer and have been getting regular eye exams for over 10 years and this was unlike any experience I've had before. As a new patient I asked twice before my exam what my total cost would be and was clearly told $50 ($40 contact exam + $10 copay). Based on that I proceeded. After the exam I was then told there was an additional $80 charge due to astigmatism which was never verbally explained beforehand despite me confirming pricing multiple times. There was also a heavy push for additional tests and add on charges throughout the visit which made the experience feel more sales driven than patient focused. Combined with the surprise fees it felt like I was being blindsided and then made to feel at fault for not catching every detail in the fine print even after asking directly about cost. While I was discussing the issue with the manager a front desk staff member interjected and said "well she signed the form" even though no one was speaking to her which felt dismissive rather than helpful. The manager did ultimately help resolve the issue which I appreciated but the situation never should have escalated that far. I was also told my frames would be ready the same day and never received a follow up call. Maybe I caught them on a bad day but overall the lack of transparency and how concerns were handled left me uncomfortable. If you do come here make sure to read every single part of every document because verbal explanations did not match what I was ultimately charged and paperwork was later used against me when I questioned it. I would not personally recommend this office read more

Made an appointment and took a half day off work to attend. Show up for my appointment and I'm told they can't find my appointment. When they look further into my account they say that the call center representative canceled my appointment because I called in and canceled. Why in the world would I show up to my appointment if I called to cancel it? They tell me I can be fit in, but I'd be waiting at least an hour. Do you want to sit and wait for an hour when you made an appointment already? They have wasted my time and they have wasted my money because I had to take half a day off of work. Completely not dependable. Action should be taken against the call center worker who canceled my appointment for no reason. When I called in to make a complaint to the call center and was transferred to the supervisor she told me that I called in and cancelled 20 minutes after I called to make the appointment. I offered up my phone records to prove that I never called in. Absolutely ridiculous. Time to find a new place for me and my 4 kids. read more

Pearle Vision came to the rescue on Sunday (when my normal eyeglass place and so many others are closed). The lens fell out of my glasses before I went shopping. I couldn't find the screw that came out so there could be no attempt to do a repair at home. After shopping, I checked Yelp for opticians and started seeing all the Closed Today notices for the hours of several. I got to Pearle Visions and saw they were open and it was on my way home. I was greetd warmly when I went in. I asked if I could pay them to put ina new screw. They could and I was told there would be no charge. I had a seat while the young man took the glasses into their work room. A few minutes later, he came back with them fixed. There was no charge but he got a tip for this quick work (Pearle Vision, if that's against policy, I really went somewhere else). Thank you for making life so much easier. Using my cheaters is only a last resort for me. read more

Went in today for a yearly checkup & when being checked out they told me we had a balance from a year ago. When I told them that everything was paid for cash when we went home and they added something else to our balance After we left. How is that even possible to add a fee after the patients leave? And not call us or send us a bill or something just wait a whole year for us to pay a balance that we weren't aware of until today. A WHOLE YEAR LATER!!!! read more

I have been going to the Pearle Vision West Sahara location for several years. I will never go back. The manager recommended a certain type of eyeglass along with my contacts. I am getting headaches from them. If I want to get a different lens they will cost more than the entire glasses because i am over the 30 days of the purchase of contacts. Of course I am over the thirty days because I had to try them out. A manager was suppose to call me back but no one has. Never again and back to clear vision. I'm filing a complaint with BBB and Attorney general office. This place is not about eye care! Pearle Vision is strictly about money. The service people on the floor are poorly trained in eye care. read more

SEEK CARE ELSEWHERE! As many of the previous reviews state- staff is unprofessional and incompetent. They failed to process a simple glasses order, which turned into days worth of bad communication, headaches, and pointless additional trips to their offices. I would give a zero if possible. The staff are not nice and like to talk crap about you in their native language. I have been here before and honestly I don't know why I came back. The Dr was amazing but the rest of the staff need a serious upgrade. They don't call when your glasses or lenses are in and when you go in mysteriously they are there. My technician, Brittany was very nice and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Dong Suk was friendly and very professional. It was weird for me to have this eye exam, but he made it a very quick and easy process. I had fun picking out my frames from their large variety. I wish I could remember the name of the lady who helped me with the frames, but she was friendly as well. I was also able to get my frames the following day! So happy with my Pearle Vision experience, and I would recommend anyone to make an appointment here. Was not disappointed at all! Quick and easy! Also...
