I decided to give Pearl Vision another try for the last visit on Nellis went south with the person I was assigned to choose my glasses. I decided to go all the way to Henderson to Ruth who I knew gave exceptional customer service. My appointment was scheduled for Sunday they called me to advise that Ruth wasn't in and rescheduled me for Wednesday we drove across town and when I gave them my insurance card and ID they advised that Ruth wasn't in and I could complete my eye exam and return on Friday to see Ruth. I wanted to scream !!!! But I thought things happen they apologized. I stayed for my exam. Another lady approached me with forms should I need additional services she stated she just saw that I requested Ruth and apologized. I was called for the pre exam a nice guy started the exam I placed my head on the machine and when I looked up it was another person there stating the guy had to translate. In the service world you advise the customer that you're leaving. This is going left and I've not seen the doctor yet. Now the Doctor was nice but the carpet in the exam room was beyond filthy.All I want is my exam now and I will return to see Ruth. I looked at the glasses and nice lady came over now I know to be the manager she held the glasses I choose until my Friday with Ruth. read more

We were there 2 hours past our appointment time because kept taking walk ins before the people that had made appointments. We got our prescription finally and then when we went to order glasses we found out they had not included PD measurement. When I called to get her measurements I was hung up on thee times half way through my first sentence. When I finally got through to someone they informed me it wasn't part of the prescription even though its needed to order glasses online and they know that. She kept saying you can just go in again and get the measurement. It should have been included to begin with. There is no reason it should not be on any prescription they write when you need it to order online. They are trying to force you to pay for their over priced frames. I am very unhappy and will not return to this company again. I would give 0 stars if possible. read more

I went in for my appointment. I immediately noticed that every chair in the waiting area was full. When I reached the reception area, I asked if there was a long wait. She responded casually that it's about a 40 min wait. There were only two drs working and honestly I'm sure the wait would be longer than 40 mins due to the number of people waiting. I asked if there was a better time to come when they aren't so overbooked. She responded that they weren't overbooked which led me to believe that this was status quo. A forty min wait for an optometrist is ridiculous. That is absolutely the result of double booking or poor scheduling. I left and won't be back. Forcing people to wait that long is insane. Every test I had Sara was very kind enough to explained each one of the test. Also Dr. Estrada was professional and went over everything they did. The groups of doctors we see for our yearly eye exams moved from a different national chain in the mall across the street. I was apprehensive at first because I've been getting my glasses from the company across the street since I was 14 years old. However, this group has all of my medical info, and we were behind on the yearly because of our travel plans and other medical needs, so it was just easier to go to Pearle Vision. First, walking in, I again, was a little apprehensive, it doesn't look like a doctors office in here. I know they are a retail space first but I was surprised at how mixed it was. We were warmly greeted (I also recognized one of the people working from the office in the mall and she's great so I felt a bit better) and we were seen for our appointments on time. I liked the flow of appointment to retail. It was smooth and I didn't feel rushed or pressured into anything. The person helping me was super nice and made sure I knew the price of everything. She also did a lot of comparison pricing for my husband and I when we couldn't choose which new glasses/sunglasses to get. I don't know if it's normal but we got a lot of perks that we have never gotten at the other chain across the street. I ordered a year's worth of daily contacts and used my insurance. Because of that they have a special where you can get a whole set of glasses for $40. Yes, $40 for both frame and lenses. It's a limited selection but they still did high index and all that on my lenses, so I jumped at the opportunity. We also got a $400 credit for coming over to Pearle Vision and leaving the other chain across the street. I got Rx sunglasses! I've never had them before. So why am I giving 4 stars? I think the selection here is a bit limited. But it wasn't a big deal to me since I got the extremely limited $40 glasses. The biggest issue I have though is that you can't pay with card without an "administration fee." I don't normally carry cash on me, let alone over $1600, but if I knew that I was going to be spending an extra $40 for nothing, I would have brought cash. That's a pair of glasses!!! lol read more

My daughter and I have been to this location a few times. We were given the wrong prescription for my daughter's eyes. My last eye exam I went in for a complete eye exam and they asked me if I wanted my eyes dilated I told them yes. They did not dilate my eyes. I asked why they did not do this and she said the Dr said she don't think you need your eyes dilated. We will never be back to any Pearle Vision: also the last time we were there they lowered my daughter's eye prescription. She was wearing the same script for a year or so then they lowered it not sure how that happened .. so not go to this place. read more

Service here was great! The eye technician that attended me was well mannered, professional, and took her time with each test. Alejandra attended me after my exam and explained the different prices in regards to contacts, glasses, or getting both. She gave me the form to look over so I can think about what worked best for me. The following day, I went back with my decision to choose both glasses and contacts and I was attended by Abigail. She was super patient and allowed me to try on as many glasses as I wanted; I must have tried about 20!! She didn't make me feel rushed or pressured. I walked out feeling confident about my choice of glasses because she allowed me to take my time! I walked in to get my eye glasses adjusted today before a two week trip. The woman that was going to do it warned me that the frames may break when she does it. I have been getting my glasses adjusted for 50 years and never had anyone ever break my frames so i did not think much of it. Sure enough she comes back and said they cracked and then wanted me to set up a eye exam or could pay $180.00 to get the same frames in a different color. Either I got the most incompetent eye glass employee ever or its a new way to get people to pay more money for something they don't need! I stopped by Pearle Vision early because my son's glasses were really bothering him. I was nearby and figured id stop by and I didn't realize they didn't open until another 20 minutes.Day was so kind and helped us out right away even though they technically weren't open yet. She fixed his glasses super quickly, in less than 15 minutes. I was honestly so relieved because I had taken the morning off from work to run errands before my son starts school again, and this just made my whole day easier. The staff is amazing. My first visit since they moved from the galleria mall and I got a chance to see who helped me when i went back to pick up my glasses. Ashley front desk assistant was so nice and very patient with me. Not cheap at all! my appointment was on the 25th got the glasses 2 days later With no transitional lenses in them. During my visit, I was continually asked to complete different tests for my eyes. I was never provided a pricing sheet at the time of intake. Once the appointment was over, I was told my total was $330. They then asked me to sign the pricing sheet stating they had messed up. I refused to sign the pricing sheet and they ordered my contacts wrong. I received the wrong prescription which I needed for my wedding. I will never be going back here again. read more

Pearl Vision did my eye exam and 3 pairs of glasses. When wearing the reading glasses, I could not bring average size print into focus. Pearl Vision refused to adjust the glasses so I could use them to read. Customer service was non-existent. There are too many other places to go to for glasses. read more

I am not happy with the quality of the lens I received from this location. I had my new lenses put in my old frames. (Which still ended up costing $175 out-of-pocket even with VSP insurance) About 2 months after, the left lens began to crack, which got bigger over time, then eventually the same happened to the right lens. I brought the glasses back to Pearle Vision, but they refused to fix them. They claimed that it was a defect in my old frames, but that doesn't make sense. The old lenses never cracked. I believe the lab tech made a mistake and didn't want to own up to it or it was defective material. Either way, this is not my fault. I even made a claim with the Better Business Bureau, but they didn't even respond to it at all. I would NEVER go to Pearle Vision in the future. They don't stand by their product. My doctor was incredible, which is the only reason I am giving 3 stars. Even though the doctor actually found a serious condition that can cost me my sight in the future, when I am made to feel like I am a bother, I will not be back. The staff from the receptionist when they greet you on the phone, to when you walk out, until you call back for help of any kind, is absolutely abysmal. No one was kind, I was made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, I called back for support and any action which caused the receptionist to actually work resulted in *SIGH* "well, do this. do this. then I will do what you are asking." instead of actually listening to HEAR me and what I need as a patient, they made it clear, I was an inconvenience to their conversation and day. Walked into the shop with 6 girls behind the counter, not one acknowledge that I was there or even made eye contact with me for about 30 seconds. I finally spoke to someone who who didn't know a thing about RX sunglasses. I asked to look at the sun glasses and then started to look at one and then one of the girls too busy to help says " please don't touch the glasses, they get dirty, and we have to clean them". So I touched my face to collect oil on my finger and preceded to touch the lens, and then left. I will never shop at Pearle vision again. read more

Hello went to the store for my grandson and bought the insurance package to cover the glasses in case it got broken. My grandson broke his glasses after one week and took them back and I was told that when I bought the insurance package that his glasses would be covered for a year and their wouldn't be a charge, but they lied to me. They said their was a charge for 25 for the frames and $25 for the glasses. When I bought the insurance package I was told that they were covered for the year for free but that was not the case. When I bought the insurance package I specifically asked what happened if he broke his glasses that their would be no charge. So do not purchase the insurance. read more

I apologize if this review seems wonky or slanted. You see, I am writing it out through crooked glasses. I got them a few weeks back from Pearl and granted, For one week, they looked wonderful against my 'lashes, Then they began to sit awkward and slide off my nose. I'd had good service when purchasing my eyewear, so I returned for help readjusting the frames, I suppose; But the folks working acted like they had no time to spare. So this place is decent for helping you spend cash On a pair of frames or an exam of both of your eyes Although if you need a fix, I don't mean to bash, But don't rely on this place. I walked into the location I was asked what are you looking for I said glasses she said what are you looking for I said glasses I wanted to add am I not in an eyeglass facility... I proceeded to walk towards the frames so I could see what they had to offer I was told I had to wait for somebody and I had to sit down and they would bring me frames I said how do you know what I'm going to like and how do I know what I like I was told you just explain what you want and we will pull them for you. No thank you I want to actually look at stuff on my own who does that who would be that uncustomer friendly to tell you you are not allowed to look at frames. If you don't want people to look at frames maybe you shouldn't be in business. read more

Update: I'm at LensCrafters and they are able to do it, no problem, with smiles on their faces. So again, the employees at Pearle Vision who gave me a hard time need to find another profession. These people have no idea what they're doing. I brought in a pair of glasses-goggle hybrid specifically made for prescription, and they told me that they were "non RX-able". When I'd asked about what that exactly meant, they went into the back room to ask someone, and came back out with some jibberish "the glasses don't have a stamp that explains its safety feature". Note that before driving all the way to this location, I'd called the manufacturer before the holiday, verifying the prescription feature. Of course these glasses/goggles are made for prescription, that's what it was made for, for people with poor vision. I probably wouldn't be as annoyed as I am right now if it weren't for the snooty and condescending employees who "helped" me. There must be some poles stuck up their behinds, and in desperate need of some pulling out. Perhaps they have something against short Asian women, as the stench of discrimination is hard to miss these days. Or maybe they, again, have no idea what the hell it is that they're talking about. read more

If it would have allowed, I would have put a negative rating for this site on Sunset. Today I called and was told by a pleasant person that yes they could replace the lenses on my already purchased glasses as long as I had the new prescription. Which I did. She said no appointment necessary. I arrived there at 5:01 pm when their closing time is 6 pm and was told I would have to come back on another day since they "don't take new orders" that late. It took another similar provider 15 minutes, including a thank you for choosing them, to take care of the order for me but obviously this location has no interest in actually providing service with the customer in mind. I would never consider doing business with them. Certainly would not have ever considered taking off another day of work to do it at their convenience, and would not recommend that anyone else go there either. read more
