The eye exam went smooth and the doctor called me back in a proper amount of time. After looking through the lens and remarking one or two. No, go back, three or four we were all done . The eye exam was throughly conducted and an individual is given a print out of the scale of your eye prescription, just for your records. You can order glasses here or take the exam to go . It's your choice. It was a better experience and fit for my schedule to do it all here. They offer all the top brands it seems at fair prices . They offer a warranty plan that covers the frames for a reasonable amount. After you pick your frames they fit them for you on the spot. They show you what your new glasses will look like on you in real time. That's the entire process in a single shot. They called in less than two weeks and you are on your way . To better seeing . The older we get we need enhanced services to help us be the best human possible . They told me I had a detached retina and then stopped the exam. Said I needed to go to an ophthalmologist immediately, then made an appointment for me with one that was three weeks out. I went home and made a new appointment with someone else for the next morning. Only to find out that I did not have a detached retina at all! I did however have cataracts that I have since had removed. Would never go back to this lens crafters again!! read more

Be advised if you make an appointment, you will be seen 20 minutes after your appointment time as it seems as if they schedule 3 appointments at the same time. From start to finish the entire ordeal will take an hour. I recommend making an appointment over the phone and ask to be seen as the very first patient of the day. About a year ago I had a warranty issue with my Meta glasses. I came to this lens crafters and they didn't have another 50in pair of Meta Glasses to switch out so I could swap out my frames. They took my info down and said they would call when the glasses were back in stock. I received a $300 warranty replacement letter that was good for up to a year. I waited a few weeks and ended up purchasing another pair from someone else since I needed my glasses and I never received that follow-up call.. I came back to Lens Crafters about 9 months later and they were able to honor my warranty letter and replace my Meta glasses and lenses. However, they had to take back my lenses from the glasses that I had to replace because they couldn't replace them from before. So now I have a working pair of Meta glasses that are useless because they took the lenses and my new pair that are very nice. I asked Wendy, the manager if there was some way I could keep the original lenses since it's there fault that I had to spend the extra $300 to replace them from before and the lenses were basically going to be disposed away. Unfortunately she wasn't able to find a solution. The store was nice, clean, and helpful but I am leaving a 3 star review instead of a Stellar 5 star review because going through their warranty process cost me an extra $300. Ive never normally had an issue here as everyone has been nice and helpful but im not sure what is going on this year cause everyone seems to have a stick up their ass and wants to talk down to me. trying to finalize 3 times now for contacts, first two time okay doctor is on lunch and get told to callback. no biggie but moved on with my day. today I called again and get Sergio, who says to call back again since the doctor is busy. I go to ask if someone else can call for me since I work past the times they tell me to call back, and this douche decides to tell me "with the picture I'm trying to paint" out of nowhere! I purchased two set of glasses last weekend. The first service was awesome Wendy took care of me.I bought the RayBan Meta but unfortunately the transition didn't worked for me. I came back a couple days later and the lady that was taking care of me was explaining how the transition works but as I was explaining her what I do for work and how the transition doesn't work for me, she handled the box and my glasses back to me and goes with a new costumer. Then Nancy one of the other employees looks at me and says "looks like she walked away from you". Nancy took care of me and explained that I can get just the lenses and it will be an extra charge so I can use them just as sunglasses since my second pair it's with the prescription. She helped me but all I wanted from the beginning was to know if there was something I could do like returning them and getting a different set or like Nancy did helped me to get new lenses. This other lady just made me feel like since I already spent my money with them and I was talking about an issue I had with my purchase I was not longer a good costumer since she wouldn't be able to sell me anything. It's crazy how I spend almost $800 dollars on my first purchase and then this lady think I'm not worth anymore since I already spend my money. I don't have her name and I think it won't be nice describing her. I've never, ever had a problem with this LensCrafters (or any other one I've ever been to). The selection here is pretty large, and you can basically find any glasses to fit your budget. For the most part, I think that the employees here are helpful and informative. I hate being followed around while shopping and these last two times I've been in, they've been very respectful of that. They are also pretty helpful when you do want help. My bf needed help and they salesperson was pulling everything she thought he'd like. I did try a different big name brand once because I do think that LensCrafters is a bit expensive. I think that they charge more because they know most people come in and use their insurance. I will say that I decided to come back because the glasses from the other place didn't last as long and they had weird polices about adjustments. I love that no matter how old your glasses are, LensCrafters lets you come in an get an adjustment, free of charge. read more

The day before my appointment I get a voicemail with them threatening to cancel my appointment because I didn't confirm. I confirmed that appointment 50 dang times. This review is for the Optometrist. Made an appointment for 9:20 I arrived 15 minutes early, signed paperwork and waited for 25 minutes past my appointment. Saw three people be attended before me, 2 stated they had no appointment and were seen before myself an actual patient with an appointment: I declined their extra $44 recommended treatments. I have a feeling this placed me on the back of the list. 2 patients arrived after me and one was called as I had it and asked what was going on. The rude older lady receptionist stated " the appointment just guarantees that you are seen by a doctor today, there are several patients ahead of you" that's was after the 25 minutes of waiting. Absolutely horrible service and rude staff. I had previously spent over $500 on glasses, upgraded lenses and frames plus eye exam. PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE IF YOU NEED AN EYE EXAM. With insurance and out of my own pocket, I dropped a grand in here on a couple pairs of designer glasses. When I picked them up, I expected to just be handed a bag, but they make you sit down and "adjust" the glasses to your face. I wish I had known to just say NO. I watched this lady bend them up without looking down at what she was doing! Like I didn't just spend a whole paycheck on those! For someone with OCD-- this drove me insane! She then put them on my face, and of course they were super crooked! I was FUMING, and she starts bending them up some MORE! They were wobbling on the table AND crooked on my face. I told her to to just STOP, and she tried to tell me she knew better. Customers know what they want! I'm the one that had to wear them! To prove some point, she violently bent my designer glasses at the elbow! I'm in tears in my car right now because now the side she did that to is loose and wobbly, they don't close right, they sit crooked on my face, and wobble on flat surfaces. I'm so upset! I have never spent so much money on glasses before, and this lady ruined the whole experience as well as my glasses. I told her the other pair were fine, no need to adjust!-- and ran out the door, I couldn't get out of there fast enough! Online customer service was NO HELP. The manager at this location, Sophie, is incompetent. But don't worry, Sophie, another manager at another Lense Crafters location was happy to fix the problem your store caused. *** Review is for Optometrist office *** My daughter who just turned 18 is headed off to college next month. I made appts. for all things before she goes out of state. I was sent intake paperwork to fill out, I filled out the necessary forms yesterday and one of the questions was if we wanted to opt in for the add'l testing for $29. It clearly says to select item if you want to do test. It was clear as day. I did NOT want the test. My daughter called saying they told her to do this test for $29 and I said no, I declined it. She said well, they already did it. I called office and said excuse me. I declined that test on the paperwork you sent, she said most people don't underarms the question and just leave it blank. I said I'm not most people and it was clear to me and I did not select the test! She said your daughter is 18 and can make her own decisions. I said no, you took advantage of her and the situation. Giving myself a year to calm down I tried again. Unfortunately the experience only became worse. I dealt with an "apprentice" optician who treated the sales experience like he was selling a used car. He was not helpful at all at explaining options, and gave me an unrealistic delivery date that they were unable to meet. The only upside is that I was able get a refund and going forward will deal with a local optician. After all if I am going to get suboptimal service at least I can go through a local business and support my local economy, not a vertical monopoly that refuses to put forth any effort. read more

I'll begin by saying the optometry office located within LensCrafters is great. Easy to get an appointment with very flexible hours and pleasant staff. However, this review is about LensCrafters and the sales there. One word of advice, if you have insurance, be sure to know your benefits. I am so disappointed at level of disinformation I received about my coverage and the unnecessary pressure by the staff to "upsell" what I needed so they could get the most out of my wallet and my insurance. Long story short, after a long conversation which left a bad taste in my mouth, I chose to leave the store without purchasing anything so I could personally verify my insurance benefits to what was quoted to me and told me. It's a good thing I did, because everything I was to told was either incorrect or unnecessary. Ultimately I took my prescription to glasses.com and found the exact same product yet saved nearly $150. read more

Terribly dissatisfied and upset. Went in for my annual exam and before the preliminary test the assistant took my glasses I was wearing and left the room for 5 minutes. When she came back she handed me my glasses and proceeded the testing. I assumed she was getting a read on the prescription? Eventually I was brought to the examining room and waited a good long while before optometrist came in and apologized for wait. I made it very clear I would not be getting contacts due to a bad reaction a week prior that made my eyes bloodshot red. So I think it's best to stick with glasses. We finished up and I was sent to a young girl to repair the nose pad on my very expensive multifocal Ray Bans that was purchased 4 years ago at Lens Crafters in the Boulevard Mall. They only had one slight scratch on the lens. The young girl took my glasses and disappeared for quite awhile , came back and rummaged through massive amounts of various nose pads and parts, she left a second time then finally came back and proudly handed me my repaired glasses back with a HUGE nose pad in comparison to the original. I laughed and said this is awful, " you don't have a matching size"? She opened the tray of of parts again, and mentioned she was going to try and replace the original with a HUGE nose pad to match but was afraid she'd break it! I asked if she could order? Didn't quite get an answer. My window of time was closing for all my errands/appointments so I just shook my head and walked out. Once I got into my car , I then noticed multiple clustered identical scratches on both lenses right in the center! They were not there when I wore them in. I had admired earlier what great condition the lenses were in! So,so bummed and pissed off. How could this happen? Who scratched them? The first assistant who disappeared with them for 5 minutes or the young lady attempting to repair the nose pad? Was it an accident since it was clear I wouldn't be purchasing new glasses? I mean, I might have at a later date. My favorite expensive multifocal Ray Bans,tiny clusters of scratches both lenses, mismatched HUGE nose pad that sits lopsided on my face. I almost went back during my hectic lots to do day, but was too tired to contend with them as I new it wouldn't be good. Nothings gonna make those scratches go away, they would most likely call me the liar. All I could do when I got home many hours later was go on Amazon and find my nose pad, it will be here Friday. This LensCrafters just amazed me how they are professional scammers. They will not scam you directly instead they will go for your insurance. This place was charging me for $350.00 copay for a regular lenses in my insurance. And I went to a different location of LensCrafters and order same exact frame and lenses with insurance for $110.00 and $220.00 For transition lenses. I never got the mans name but obviously they have this scheme going on. I work with medicare and medical insurance I know what they are up to. This year, Patrick the optician helped me and my mom out and he was nothing short of amazing! Came to pick up my glasses and knew how to adjust the glasses just by looking at me. He was so good at what he does, that I barely needed any adjustments after the first go around. I also had a question about why the thickness of my lenses was thicker than what I was used to (even though I pay extra for the thinner versions.) He explained how because of the frames I picked, it looks thicker than when I get my usual thick Ray-Ban lens. He even offered to polish the sides to make them appear thinner. I came back in an hour and they were perfect! Would recommend always going to Patrick for adjustments or any of my glasses needs. read more

I had to give this rating a star to make a review, if I had a choice, it would be zero stars. We took our daughters glasses in today because the arm had broken off. The lady who helped said that all she needed to do was verify that our daughter is in the system and that her glasses should be ready later by today or tomorrow. 7 hours later my husband gets a phone call from the store asking him to come in about the glasses, when he got to the store the same lady who helped him in the morning stated that the glasses were no good, the warranty expired and that she will be needing new glasses. My husband was angry by this time because earlier that day she said everything would be good and that the glasses would be fixed and now she had my husband drive all the way across town just to tell him the glasses were no good, she seriously couldn't tell him over the phone? She denied saying that she never said all of that and the sad thing was, she was the store manager. We don't remember her name but she was Russian..I'm not being racist but that should help identity this person and her poor work ethic! We have been going to this location for two years and won't be returning. read more

He was there to get them tightened... then she has the nerve to tell him he can pay $16 for a new frame?? Yeah no! Selection of eye wear is pretty good. The prices are affordable for your basic frames. Designer and higher end better quality ones cost alot more though. The prices for the lenses is where they hit you. I still had to pay an additional $325 for my designer frame n lens since I got anti-reflective, anti glare and thinner lenses. I had priced other places that carries eye wear and LC charges the most, but I'm tied down here since this is the only place that my insurance covers. Service here is fine when it came to purchasing my frames. You may have to play the waiting game here because they focus on one customer at a time and if there are more customers vs employees to help expect a wait. Some of the eye wear can be made on the premises, some they have to ship to the lab if they don't have it in stock to fit your frame. I checked with the eye wear specialist and mine could be done in house and ready in 45 minutes. Well all that went smoothly, got my glasses, was happy, end of story...NOT.... Six months later one side of my the nose pads of my Chanels was getting discolored. I went back into LC to see if it can be replaced. Unfortunately mine couldn't since mine just happen to be the most expensive designer frames they don't carry the special nose pads for my frame. What?? Well who does then?..What do I do? Ended up walking out with no suggestions whatsoever. Now nine more months have gone by and the reflective coating on one side is peeling. Went back in couple weeks ago and got the "too bad so sad" attitude and was told I would have to pay additional to replace lens. So I'm pretty peeved about not only about the price but just the attitude and treatment of their sales staff here. They're fine when they see $$ but after that they wont give you the time of day. read more

Glasses and optometrist are two separate offices so they bill you separately. They don't take DAVIS vision and VSP is out of network for the optometry at least. We had to wait 10 minutes for the glasses sales lady to check benefits. I don't think she told us they were out of network, even though they should have. She said it was $50 and 30%... Ok well what the heck does that mean!! So some other lady jumped in and said $50 OFF and 30% off whatever is left. LensCrafters has a good selection of glasses, but if we went to an in network office we would be getting $150 off our glasses and 20% off whatever is leftover. I've been going here since I was a kid. This January they changed providers. I came in beginning of January to get contacts & they said it would be ready 7-10 business days. After 2 weeks I called and asked if my contacts were ready and they said they don't even see that the order went through but that they will do it now and it would be ready in a week. I called again a week later and same thing. After a month of waiting I decided to go in person and ask about my contact which they said again that they can't find my contacts or see that I have an order placed so the doctor personally told me she would get it done. Going in person I see why they never ordered nor could find my contacts, because the place was a MESS!! Workers losing files, long lines, etc. I went out of the country for a month and they called me and told my contacts had finally made it to the store. When I get back and go in to pickup my contacts the workers told me the doctor side had suddenly left and there's no contacts! They didn't call me or communicate to me about any moving. They gave me the number to where my contacts should be and they are still having trouble finding my contacts. This place use to be so organized and nice. I'm sure the lens/glasses side of this store is okay, but as for the doctor/contacts side, I will never come back again! It's been 2 months that I've been trying to receive my contacts and they have no communication. I'm really disappointed in the downfall of this store. read more
