Don't pay any mind to the negative and ridiculously old reviews. I'm sure there has been a change of ownership and brand-revamp since because I had an exceptional experience. I made an appointment for an eye exam primarily because my prescription was outdated and I was looking to order contact lenses. I do think they were a little backed up on Friday afternoon, but overall, wait time was not bad. Dr. Waterman was helpful with lens recommendations, was more than detailed with going over an image of my eye/overall eye health (sorry, bad with words - not an optometrist for a reason), and answered all my questions and concerns. This is NOT a ridiculously old review...this is the end of 2021. Had an appointment for 6pm. Walked in, they state they have been trying to get a hold of me, but the number THEY had put into THEIR system was wrong by a digit. Since it is their "busy" season, they canceled the appointment. While they were able to give me an appointment 3 days later, there was no apology, no we will fit you in because it was THEIR ERROR. I specifically chose this date for the one doctor...I did not want the DR. who got her degree in Puerto Rico. And it's not like I am a new patient. I was there last year...oh and which they completely botched the billing then too. Peace out, never again...there are plenty of better choices in the area. read more

I'm a senior citizen on Medicare. I had scheduled eye exam two weeks prior. Half hour before my appointment they called saying my Medicarte number was not correct. I verified number with them and they claimed that it wasn't the right number. I called Medicarre they informed me that my number is correct and account is in good standing. Called them back and explained. They still claimed it was not. I then get a call 10 minutes later saying they got it figured out. I go to my appointment have exam did not explain that having your eyes diallated was no charge. Had exam without it took 5 minutes. Was then told I had a $35 deductible which I do not, as my deductible was met eailer in the year. When I called them on this they changed their story saying it was a refraction charge for the doctor asking me during exam which is clearer 1 or 2 (I thought that was the exam). I hope they spend the $35 wisely as I will go somewhere else to have presciption filled. I will never return and never recommend. read more

I was not very impressed with this place. Quite honestly the prices of their glasses was kind of high. I bought really simple glasses that were 'no name' brand and were 'on sale' but I should've just bought my eyewear at my own doctors office and got something way better and more stylish. The one thing that I didn't like about this office is they didn't even take the time to fit my glasses on my face, because they didn't! They handed me the glasses to try on and look at me from the front and said everything was good. I don't know what happened to servicing your customers nowadays. read more

I never been so disgusted with someone. I am a hard worker my husband is a hard worker and we pay good money for our insurance. So I have the right to review my purchase. Please save yourself the time and your hard earned money you spend for your Insurance. Paul is the most disrespectful customer service representative I have ever dealt with. I called and he asked the phone prepared for a fight.He got all upset and defensive when I questioned why was I charged so much? You want to know why ? Because he slid in the " special extra thin lenses" that cost over $109 without my husband knowing , not even giving him the option to decide on his own. I have the best vision coverage insurance and we only pay $19 for a material fee nothing more nothing less. Everything is covered %100.So when we have a bill for $213 I have the right to question. I guess he got upset that I found out how he was dishonest and confronted him. He was trying to kill me with kindness and then hung up on me but I see right through you Paul. After 30 minutes over the phone with discussing my spousals visit you threw the "Hipaa law" at me, too late buddy you already exploited all his information,You violates Hipaa and I hope he didn't sign the Hipaa privacy form. Yes I wanted a refund because you stated "you didn't feel comfortable making his frames" because your a sneak and wanted us to purchase the better lenses.. the "thinner lenses" You emphasized how "thick my husband frames would be, when I asked you about the 30 day return policy which is offered! But you made it seem like you were doing me a favor to allow the 30 return policy on my purchase. All because of these "thick lenses we wouldn't like".you asked why I didn't come in with him to start with ? Because I work too buddy, are you seriously asking me this ? I have never had a problem at this place. And when I did, they fixed it. I am so busy that I didn't go back for nearly a year after I received my sunglasses. I thought there was something wrong with the prescription because they were very blurry and I never thought to bring them back until it was sunny enough to wear them. When I brought them back 8 months later, they said no problem and they fixed them! They just needed an adjustment. He explained that this was common with bifocals and if I needed an adjustment again to just stop by. No charge, no negative comments that I waited so long, no blame. Just a nice experience. I bought three pairs of glasses from this shop -over $2300. The warranty expires and the Silhouette Len's cracked so I paid to have fixed $375. Now 8 months later they cracked in the same place again and they are demanding another $150. I am disabled and only have one functional eye. Do not use Pearl Vision -they are awful! read more

Here is my nightmare at Pearle in Glassboro NJ. I went there because they were the closest that took my insurance and I've used Pearle in Vorheese NJ in the past with good results. The eye exam was quick with no issues. When I went to pick out glasses the selection was small. I found a pair of Oakley's that I liked and after progression, anti glare, anti scratch, transition, etc it came out to over $800. Out of pocket was a little over $300. I asked if it would take long he said no there is a lab in the back where they make the lenses. It took about a week. When I got them I said the left eye was blurry. They told me they changed to progression and it will take a while to get used to again. I brought them back the next day and said something was wrong. They said there was a wave in the left lense. I asked if they can put a rush on it and they said they can't because they send them out to a lab!? So someone was lying. I chalked it up to maybe I miss heard them. I wanted to treat myself to sunglasses for fishing so they said I can get them half price. Picked another pair of Oakley's and after polorization, anti glare, progression, etc another $800+. So $400 out of pocket. A little over a week later I go pick them up and the regular glasses seemed better (told needed to get used to them again) and the sunglasses were horrible. Another week plus and the sunglasses are in again. Still horrible. They told me the curved lenses won't work with my astigmatism. I picked out another pair of Oakley's (still poor selection). I asked if there was a price difference between the two frames since I didn't see a price. They said no. At this point I was too punch drunk to argue and I just wanted this ordeal over with. A few days go by and my wife got a call that they were in. The guy that sold the original sunglasses was there. He said they weren't done and don't know why I would get a call like my wife was nuts. Then tells me the new ones I picked were better because the original ones had stress cracks! Another two weeks go by and they were finally done. I see out of the sun glasses perfectly. Now the first pair I bought bother the hell out of me. I went back to work and I can't wear them on the computer and I can't see my navigation in the car clearly. I also throw axes competitively where itravel many times a year for tournaments. In all three cases I have to wear my old glasses. So I spent $800 of my own money and all I got was aggravation, a pair of sunglasses that feel cheap and don't enjoy, and a pair of glasses I never wear. Meanwhile Pearle got $1600. I was also supposed to get safety glasses. Thank God they didn't sell them there! So I'm sorry, every time someone mentions Pearle I'm going to tell my story. I already sent my wife and kid somewhere else. I did contact Pearl that swore they would make it right. They sent me to a website to fill something out and never heard back. Told my contact and again swore they'd make it right. Never heard from them again. read more

Super expensive with worst service. Don t buy any frame or lens at this place. I spend $600 for my new glasses. They are reluctant to tell me any price before I slide my credit card. I paid $239 after 30% off for the frame which turn out only worth $120 online. This store is Indenpently operated by privite owner. The service is unprofessional and unfriendly. They refused to tell me my interpupillary distance even after I get the new glasses. What are they aftaid for? Well, They can only fool me once!!! read more

I agree with Felicia. I had just come out of an eye exam with my pupils dilated and could barely see the computer screen when Paul was reviewing the charges. My out of pocket started off at $389 and I told him no way. I have great coverage through EyeMed and have never paid close to that for my other prescription glasses. He then said he would take $100 off. Hmmmm, how can he just throw on such a discount? I asked him to read the itemized lines since I could not see. I still wasn't understanding how my out of pocket was that high. Paul did not give choices or options. Feeling pressured, I gave him my credit card. I then asked for an itemized receipt so I could review when my vision returned to normal, but he said he couldn't give me one till I picked up my glasses. I left feeling VERY uneasy about my purchase. After I got home, I called to see if Paul could send me an itemized receipt since my out of pocket still didn't make sense to me. He said he wouldn't be able to do it until later. He got an attitude and said he would just cancel the whole thing and he didn't care. He said I would have to drive back to the store for the refund to be processed. Before driving back, I looked into my eye coverage and I should have only paid around $75. Looks like unethical Paul slipped in a few things I didn't request nor want like polarized lenses. Paul is extremely misleading and deceitful. I would not waste your time at this location. read more

There are several awesome reviews from some recent customers (under not recommended reviews???) Apparently those that post on yelp need to have followers in order for the review to "count." Horrible. Stay away from this place. Purchased glasses, and paid over 500.00 and the frame broke after 6 months. When I purchased them, I was told that this was a very durable frame. The action of putting the glasses on, and taking them off, actually broke the frame. Tried to take back, was told frame was discontinued, and no other frame would fit my very expensive lenses. After doing my own investigation, I discovered that a replacement frame model was available, which I purchased online. The bottom line with this place is this: After they take your money they want nothing to do with you. read more
