Took off work for a 1:45 PM appointment, drove over there 25 minutes, only to be told that all appointments were canceled today. I was never notified because they entered my cell phone as my home number so I did not get an automated text. She said she was in process of calling the people who were not notified and was about to call me when it was already passed my appointment time, and I was standing in front of her. Dr. Susan Gordon is absolutely wonderful. I had cataract surgeries in September/October 2025. She is so professional but yet very sweet personality and demeanor. I'm so glad I was assigned to her. As for the Sewell office employees from the receptionists to some of the techs doing vision testing to the office manager who schedules surgery, it's a lot of attitude. I was told numerous times answers to my questions were "in your blue folder." I was never given a blue folder!!! Seems there's a lot of dissension among admin staff. I was there for a routine eye exam. They have good doctors that provide good care, but the office manager and staff are not so much. They have a practice of demanding a credit card or debit card to pay for a refraction. They charge upfront 50$ and the doctor doesn't even do the refraction the assistant does it. They charge 3% extra to cover the cost of using a credit card. But when they return your money after your insurance pays for it, you eat the 3% they charge for using the credit card. I talked to the manger after the check out lady said I was screaming at her, which was a lie. I guess she thought I should waste the doctor's time with this issue. According to the office manager she doesn't have to bill a secondary insurance because she doesn't think she should have to argue with an insurance company to pay your claim. She thinks you should have to do it and wait to be refunded. However my one insurance pays for refraction and she didn't care and they charged me anyway. I told her that businesses have been eating the cost of using a credit card for decades now all of a sudden everybody wants to make the customer pay. I think it's just unmitigated greed. Her defense is that everybody does it. She compared paying for donuts or lunch meat at the farmers market to a medical practice charging the fee. I think it is completely different. You should not have to pay 3% to use a card at a medical practice. I have 6 different doctors and none of my other doctors do this. She said it's not greed it's an office policy. I told her she has an office policy that show the patients her office's unmitigated greed. I will find another doctor for next year. Was going to buy glasses there but didn't after my experience with the nasty check out lady and the lazy manager I'll get glasses somewhere else. Nothing pisses me off more than paying 3% at any business that charges this fee let alone a physician's office that is supposed to help people. It's a shame that medical care is even for profit. That's why everything is so expensive because of the greed. read more

On 01/03/2024 I was examined by Dr. Mussoline and found him and the staff to be excellent and professional. After preliminary interview and vision test by staff member Miranda, Dr. Mussoline thoroughly examined my eyes and fully explained the problem I was experiencing. His demeanor was comforting and put me at ease about my injury. I highly recommend Dr. Mussoline and his staff. read more

I had to have cataract surgery and my regular eye doctor recommended this place. I am so glad he did. Dr Zheng was wonderful; she was thorough in testing, answered all my questions, and, when the time came, performed the surgery skillfully. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Made an appointment In Jan 2025. Filled out all forms, gave my photo ID and insurance info, etc. Showed up for my appointment today and was rudely told I had to fill out all information and provide insurance, photo ID and a credit card to keep on file!!! When I told the receptionist that I had already done this she snapped at me and said we don't have any information on you so you'll have to provide it, implying that I hadn't actually done it previously. She then said that only she and the person seated next to her would have made my appointment so which one was it?! The other receptionist whispered a name to her which I could not hear, so obviously there WAS someone else who was responsible. I just said "never mind" and left. I called back from my car to confirm that I was cancelling my appointment and to delete my information from their files. I also asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told she was busy with other patients and that she would call me back when she was free. So far no call back and I don't really expect one. The office schedules appointments they have zero intention of being on time. I repeatedly have gone to the first appointment of the day only to sit for an hour waiting for them to be "ready". If you can't take people at 8 because you aren't ready then don't schedule them at 8. It's ridiculous. It's happened every single time I've been here. read more

One of the worst visits ever May 31, 2023. Definitely considering leaving my long-time physician there. The exam was rushed, not thorough and frankly they rushed everyone in the office seemingly trying to close on time and get in that billing for May. Was not even offered sunglasses after exam because the office staff checking me out decided they needed to have a personal conversation about car insurance. The doctor failed to perform a variety of the usual tests and she would not listen to my concerns about COVID-19 infection causing eye symptoms. read more

I saw Dr. Zheng at Eye Physicians, and I was really impressed by the office and by her professional and reassuring manner. I was told by my optometrist that I needed to be evaluated with additional testing for glaucoma during my annual eye exam. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Zheng because she is a glaucoma specialist. Her office staff were efficient and I didn't have to wait to be seen. All surfaces in the office were continuously disinfected, and I felt safe during COVID. Dr. Zheng explained all of her findings and follow up plan clearly and gave me plenty of opportunities to ask questions. I did not feel rushed in any way. I plan on going to Eye Physicians from now on for my eye care. read more

Don't visit Eye Physicians, especially Dr. Mussoline. He is arrogant, rude, unprofessional and disrespectful. I'm too upset with him to go into it any further. Also know that their technicians can't do a simple refraction with any sort of expertise. I now have to go to my Dr. of Optometry at an additional cost to have a refraction done AGAIN , since Dr. M., as well has his tech couldn't get it right. Dr. M. thought he could get away with giving me the SAME RX that I currently was wearing when I went back complaining the new prescription written caused eye discomfort that was unbearable. How does that make sense when I could barely see with these old eyeglasses to get the SAME prescription back again for 2 yr. old lenses? read more

All the staff were friendly, courteous, and professional. The one lady that checked my vision did it so well the doctor didn't need to retest or make any adjustments. However, the doctor herself left a whole lot to be desired. At least she tried to answer my questions but she could only speak in medical jargon as if I also had a medical degree. I asked her to explain it in more detail a couple of times but she had no idea how to use different words to explain what she was talking about. She just kept repeating herself as if I had not heard her the first time. After the third time I asked her to explain but without the jargon, she got frustrated and just said "I don't know how else I can say it." Seriously, that's a big problem. Simply not understanding that repeating the same exact words is not an actual explanation is a huge fail. She may know her stuff medically but she should be in a research lab or something since she can't seem to communicate with anyone who hasn't been to medical school. In all fairness, it's been a while so I'm no longer 100% certain but I am 99% confident it was Dr. DENISE FARNATH-ALBER. To top it off, she steered me wrong about getting progressive lenses and kept telling me I wouldn't be able to read well if I didn't get them. I've been able to read perfectly fine over a year later and looking through the bottom of the lenses offers no discernable improvement whatsoever. So it seems she not only cannot communicate but isn't even as good at her job as she thinks she is. Overall, I rated as 2 stars but the real breakdown is 5 stars for the staff and 1 (at best) for the doctor. read more

Dr Zheng examined my eyes and explained cataract surgery an answered all my questions. I had followed visits with Dr Zheng in the office and both eyes are doing great. I went to Dr. Zheng for cataracts in both eyes. The outcome is fantastic. Perfect vision now in both eyes. I had been wearing glasses or contacts for 50 years, and now they aren't needed at all. The staff was great, and Dr.Zheng was fantastic in explaining the procedures and what the out come would be. Overall I would give her and Wills Eye a ten out of ten. read more
