If I could give 0 stars I would. I had been going to this Pearl Vision for a while (Loved Dr. Mosley!). Recently found out she doesn't work there anymore. They made the errors, but tried to place the blame on me. Part of their justification for why they shouldn't help was the employee that made the mistake no longer works there. The Assistant Manager (her name rhymes with crackalyn) was totally rude. Didn't even try at any point to make it right. Pushed me off to her manager (I think?) who was rude as well. Went in to get my RX and they hid in the back like cowards. Making a handful of customers having to wait. Left the poor contact guy (who was with a customer) by himself to help the customers at the front. Their focus was more on placing blame than remedying a situation with a long time customer. I would never refer anyone to this place and I will never go back and judging by the way they handled the situation they don't care. Time to move on. read more

I needed new frames as mine had broken. My frame wasn't available at the Pearle Vision store where I bought them so I decided to try calling other stores. Pearle in Edina had the frame, I went there and had the lenses from the broken frames inserted. This happened in about an hour! Sally answered my phone call and took care of the lens swap. We had been going to Pearle for 5 years, never gain. The staff was very rude and insulting. They told us that Pearle had new owners and they needed to be treated more like a doctor's office. wish I could give a zero star! It's been 4 weeks and I still don't have glasses from Pearl Vision. It'll be 6 weeks by the time I get them, If they're done right this next time. Glasses are supposed to be ready in two weeks and never got a call. So I called and found out 'supposedly' there was something wrong with the lenses and they were rejected - whatever that means. And when I asked for an explanation on what rejected was I didn't get one. It would've been nice that they said something, but they didn't. So I had to wait another two weeks for lenses! Again, no call to say they're ready, I called and they we're like oh yeah they just came in today. Which is the same excuse I heard 2 years ago when I had to call on the status of my order with them. When I arrived to pick up these new glasses - they gave me the wrong lens!!!! Both the eye doctor and I had clearly told them bifocals when I placed the order and I got progressive lens!!!! So still need to wait another two weeks for new lenses. Plus, it's been a week and I still don't have the refund for the difference between the progressive lens they charged me for and the bifocal lenses I was supposed to get. read more

No stars had to pick 1, to post! I walked in for my Optometrist Appointment at Pearle Vision Edina 3333 Hazelton Rd, Edina, MN 55435. None of the staff in the front were wearing masks. I said something about my disappointment & shock. They didn't feel it was necessary in a Medical Facility to wear them. (They did say those that would be giving me my Eye Exam would wear masks.) Airborne Droplets from someone who has COVID-19 can contain the virus. Someone else can breathe in these droplets, or the droplets can land on someone's eyes, nose, or mouth and cause infection. I walked out! Very disappointed when 1 in 500 United States Residents have died from Covid as of today. read more

My family (5 people) and I have been loyal customers at the Edina Pearl Vision for the past 10+ years. But that is history as of yesterday. Thanks to Westpoint Optical and their pathetic leadership which has ruined a decent optical shop by hiring very rude staff including the so called manger of the store Kris (by the way she thinks; she is a god send! Only if someone could tell her how pathetic of manager and a person she is). She knows how to get into another persons skin; I pity her husband if she still has one. I ordered three glasses from this shop 1) for far distance and reading (progressive) 2) computer glasses (progressive) and 3) Moui Jim Sunglasses (Progressive). Guess what these glasses were ordered back in December of 2023 and all three had to be remade at least twice as their technicians who call them selves "Tweekers" do not know what they are doing. My Moui Jim are still not correct after three remaks and now somehow its my fault that they do not know how to make the glasses. I spent just about $1000 for my Moui Jims alone and now it no more than paper weight for me because Pearl Vision refuses to correct them for me. I have an identical pair that I had made long time back (also Progressive) works great but the frame is broken. Tells me that these people running the shop are just people without skills doing skillful labor. Well my next step is a law suite. Information has been sent to the lawyers. If there was a -10 for rating; I would give them that. read more

I will never go get glasses at that location ever again. I've been a customer for over 10 years and I've never been treated this way before. When I received my glasses the near vision prescription was incorrect. I was not able to read anything as if I did not have glasses on. Kristi the manager got involved because the technician could not figure out the problem. She did not believe me when I explained that I could not see and insisted that I should take them home and I will get used to them. I explained that this is not my first rodeo with progressive lenses and that knowing where to look through the lenses is not the issue she still insisted on sending me home with the defective glasses and wait another week. I did that and when I called back to speak with her, without any explanations she said I need to come back to see the optometrist. When I came back the optometrist confirmed that there is no prescription on the lenses for reading. They had to reorder. Today it's been three weeks since the order. I called to check and Ethan answered the call very rudely, upon greeting him he responded that he is very busy. I asked about my order he said that he had no information after looking at the lab records. I told him I want to cancel my order requesting a refund he said he will give it to the manger and hung up. He did not offer any explanations about the refund process when it comes to insurance claim. Ethan did not offer any apology for the delay or showed any care for the situation. Both Ethan and Krista had a disregard for my loyalty to the store. I am very disappointed at their lack of professionalism and good customer service. read more

OUTSTANDING customer service at Edina Pearle Vision! They also give lifetime adjustments on glasses & free refills of their professional biodegradable lens cleaner! I initially went to another optometrist. Following the exam, I learned: I needed glasses for distance and reading; and that optometrist did not take my insurance for "materials." I had state UCare insurance. I read a lot of reviews. Quality, respect, time & money is important when making purchasing decisions. I get that some people are vindictive/exaggerate when they complain (customer service in my background). Reviews about the Lake Street Pearle vision store nearest me were mixed. I opted for the Edina Pearle Vision store and could not have been more pleased. First optometrist said insurance should cover both reading and distance. Pearle said no, then my insurance said both should be covered. I did not want to be that needy customer. But I had to jump though hoops for insurance. I forgot to ask for pricing about "anti-reflective" coating, & later had to change that. Insurance ultimately denied my request for reading glasses. Nicole, the manager at Pearle, & the staff helped me so much, they absolutely cushioned that disappointment with her diligent effort & was always patient with me. Through the issues of insurance, Nicole's communication was kind, clear & concise. She followed up on every call promised. Nicole & staff never made me feel rushed. No one ever talked down at me. I felt cared for & comfortable. I later learned that Pearle Visions are franchises, and not all are run the same. Edina Pearle Vision is the store I will be recommending to everyone I know who has eyewear or vision needs. Called to schedule an exam, soonest one was over a week out. Had to fill out intake paperwork online before getting confirmation of the appointment. Then got an email reminder every day for a week, including this morning which is the day before the appointment. Now, about 12 hours before the scheduled appointment they decide to change the Drs schedule and cancel the appointment. Of course I already had to take off work for the appointment via text message, not even a phone call. I called to reschedule, received no apology, and was told they could get me in about 3 weeks from now. Still no apology. Horrible customer service. Do not recommend. read more

The customer service was awful. I had called ahead to see if they accepted my insurance and was told they did. The girl at the reception desk was not able to determine whether my insurance was accepted there, and went to someone who was working with a customer to ask about it. We had to wait while he finished with his customer, and then he came over and said my plan only covered glasses after cataract surgery. I should have left then. I had gotten good service in the past at the Lake Street store, but was trying to avoid a trip into Minneapolis. Anyway, the guy indicated I should choose some frames of a particular rack, but did not clearly say I was covered by insurance. When I asked and said I would just go somewhere else if needed, he started saying I could shop around, but my intention was to verify that the glasses were covered. I was left alone to select frames from the rack, which was difficult because of my mobility impairment. I ended up asking one of the receptionists to help me finalize my selection, and she did. Here is the part I am most complaining about: the guy came back to help me. He asked me to look at his nose and marked the level of the trifocal lenses, then told me the glasses would be ready in two weeks. That's all. I asked him if he had to measure the bows or something, and he just said that the frames I tried on would be the ones used, but did not look at how they fit me. Kind of as an afterthought, he had me look through the meter that I think measures the pupilary distance, then again sent me on my way. I am hoping for the best, but really don't want a pair of trifocal-lens glasses that doesn't fit. I will call my insurance company about this. read more

One star because they can get you in for eye appointments quickly. No other stars because they try to upsell you a lot of crap that you don't need ... and they refuse to write the pupillary distance on the prescription for you. They say that it's because they don't want to be responsible if the PD is wrong if you get your glasses elsewhere. Really, it's because they don't want you to buy cheaper glasses on-line, but if I (or my insurance) paid for a full eye exam, I think I should be able to get the PD. If you come in with old frames and ask to have the new prescription/lenses added to your old frames, they say that they are not responsible if they break your frames, even if your frames are perfectly fine and even if you bought the frames from Pearle originally. Basically, Pearle has changed their business model to try to wring as much money out of you as possible. Today, they somehow lost my appointment. I made it last week, but they didn't have any record of it so I had to come back ~2 hours later for the eye exam. I had forgotten how much this place pissed me off the last time I was here, but they did a good job of reminding me today. I will not be coming back here. read more

Let me start by saying the doctor was great. If this review was for her alone, it would be a 5/5. (I wish I could remember her name ... a petite blond girl). She's the reason the rating was brought up to a 2. My fiance and I were picking out some new glasses for me. I have some type of discount vision plan through my work, so we were trying to stay within what's covered. We selected a pair and went to pay for the visit. The sales guy (Chris) had an absolute tantrum when I asked a question about my coverage with the discount plan. I brought in paperwork outlining my coverage that stated lenses were included. Evidently that was a misleading statement and they were not. Ok fine, clearly lenses are needed with glasses and I will purchase them. Chris proceeded to chuck the papers onto the table and walk away. Another sales associate (Ed) stepped in to smooth things over and recalculated, coming up with the same number. Chris came back with the attitude of an 8 year old, in an "I told you so!" sort of manner. Appalling behavior for an adult in a professional setting. About two weeks later my glasses were finished and ready for pickup. I could swear they aren't the ones I picked out before - similar, but have designs on the sides that are not my style. The sales guy looked at me like I was crazy when I asked if there might have been a mix up. I put them on when I got home, and my fiance's first question was if those were the glasses we had picked out. I certainly will not be going back to Pearle Vision in Edina. read more

Greed never succeeds. Went here with government insurance and I made it very clear I only needed an eye exam and a "free" pair of glasses that my insurance would allow. They were not very nice to me upon hearing this. I then went to check out and they tried to charge me for a contact lens fitting. At that time, I hadn't had a dollar to my name and knew a contact lens fitting was extra. I was very clear the whole visit that I did not desire contact lenses and only wanted the "free" exam and "free" glasses my insurance would allow. The sales person then started to argue with me that I'll need a contact lens fitting eventually when I can afford contact lenses so I should just pay now. When I continued to explain I was not there for a lens fitting, she went to get another sales associate and they both acted like maybe they cannot undo the unnecessary charge (). Finally they did. Fast forward 6 months, I have money and ready to pay for that contact lens fitting. I called and told them I'll pay for that erred fitting on file. The sales associate told me I'd need to come in for a whole new exam because maybe my vision has changed in 6 months (). A contact lens fitting in valid for 2 years!!!! I stated that I will be coming in and just to pick up my chart notes. They asked why and I stated none of their business and it's a HIPPA law to give me my chart notes if I request them. Idiots. I was willing to pay and now I got the fitting for free on my chart notes. Go elsewhere. Shame on Edina Pearle Vision and you lost out on my money because of your greed. read more

Absolutely blown away by the service I received yesterday. I needed my glasses replaced ASAP, so that I could drive and do school work. I told Ruta about my busy schedule while she was helping me get sized for my glasses and she took the initiative to ask that my glasses be made sooner than in 2 weeks, which is the standard wait time. Not only did Ruta go out of her way to help me, without me prompting her to do so, their team had my glasses done the very next day. Ruta was very sweet and patient throughout the whole process, and made me feel like they were interested in helping their customers as much as possible. Giving it one star because zero is not an option. I went in because I had blurred vision in one eye because of a cataract. Somehow they determined I needed glasses (even though I had had lasik surgery) and convinced me that would resolve my issue. Even with great insurance that was supposed to cover everything I ended up with a $600 pair of glasses I could not see out of because all they did was magnify the blurriness. I went to a real doctor as soon as my insurance allowed a return visit and now that the cataract was removed my vision is perfect again. No glasses or correction of any kind! Either pearle is incompetent or have no scruples but I suspect they would try selling glasses to a blind person if the opportunity arose. Very disappointed!! read more

I came to this location this morning on a whim. I experienced severe scratching on my eye caused by something that I could not and still cannot get out of my eye. I met with the doctor for a total of 7 minutes and she told me there was nothing in my eye and gave me a prescription for eye drops. She didn't seem to care about anything I had to say, the receptionist was extremely unfriendly, and I still have something in my eye. The chairs in the lobby are yellow and yellow is my favorite color. That's the only positive thing I have to say about my experience here. read more
