I went to get a regular mani & pedi as tomorrow is my birthday. Well, I'm back and it's now July. Long overdue but finally made it in. I love Karen the owner. She's so funny, friendly, professional and enjoys interacting with her customers. Today it's pretty busy. I tend to come during the weeks in the day time while people are at work. Clean environment. Each basin gets an oversized shower cap placed over it for sanitary measures. It's disposed at the end. I bring my own color polish. My preferred brand is OPI. Today I've brought a nice summery blue. There's three other workers. Right spa chairs and seven nail stations. I love when I'm able to get both services done at once in the spa chair. Her prices are reasonable. I'm old school and stick to regular polish not gel. There are bracelets for sale at the front counter. Oh, I came around Mother's Day' and she gave all the mothers a single red rose. Unexpected, kind gesture. Come see my girl.
Honesty is what I appreciate the most! Cindy was the bomb! First time here, first thing in the morning. Called to see if they had an opening now (2-3mins away), she was honest, said yes over the phone, parked my vehicle & walked in straight to a chair. Not a huge fan of shops who say yes over the phone but you walk in and they ask if you can wait a little bit and when you ask again, they say, 15 mins. Needed a pedicure for a wedding same day, busy w work, family and home. She grabbed the sanitized material and tools as the water filled up, seat was a little old but massager worked perfect, from start to finish, she took her time even when customers walked in. Thorough w my cuticles and even the painting! Massage could use some work but her arms and hands were probably hurting from all them cuticles and scrubbing she did w my big feet . I'll be seeing Cindy more on the regular, I live 15 mins away but it's 7 mins away from my doctors so if I need to kill time, I know where I'm going. Thank you Cindy.
Karen is an amazing technician! She makes everyone feel welcomed. I have been going to her for 20 years. Her staff and her have you feeling and looking great, and the nails last a long time! I have tried the rest, She is the best!
This place is great, I've been coming here for 5 plus years. Yall, I never have any chips in my nails, they stay shiny and they are durable. Which ever nail tech does my nails always adds an extra layer of nail polish to ensure longevity. Also the staff gets you in and out of there quick. My family comes here (including my grandma who has a hard time walking and she was made to feel so comfortable.) Before this shop I tried so many other shops, this is the only one I've been to that treats me respectfully, caters to me as a customer and gets me in and out. If you looking for a forever nail shop this is your stop! (Black nail pics are from 2018, green nail pics are from 2022) They are still open! They are still Open. THEY ARE STILL OPEN!! Go get your nails did!
I come up to the Bay a few times a year and my friends have consistently told me about Pearl Nail Spa every time I've been up. I've seen really nice designs on their hands from colored French tips to complex nail art. Well I finally decided it was my turn and I am so happy I came! Reasonable prices and very friendly technicians who greeted me at the door and sat me down immediately. I'm always a bit fancy with my manicure and so I asked for swirl nail art. The technician reviewed the reference photo and gave suggestions to which colors she felt was closest to the photo. Both of my technicians didn't rush the process and they really took care of my brittle and damaged nails before the paint job. I can definitely see why my friends love this place and why there were quite a few customers in the shop!
So both my pedicure and manicure lasted about 10 days I was able to stretch my pedi because I had white polish at home. I'm not sure if it was just my skin or what but I had rehab my cuticles for about two weeks with constant oil & moisturize to get rid of the constant hang nails it also took about a week for my sore cuticles to heal I'd only come here if I had no other choice. Their early morning hours make them appealing but the service is 50/50 there are multiple nail techs in the shop so my experience my be different with someone else. So I won't completely cross them off.
It was amazing! Overall experience was very enjoyable. The staff is very friendly and honest individuals! All of them are very attentive and good conversation. My nails have lasted more than two weeks. They are just now starting to chip and the polish still looks sleek! Definitely glad to find a nail shop I can call home... plus, some of the staff and I share the same birthday month! It was meant to be!
Went in for a full set and pedicure. The pedicure was OK but the tools seemed used. The full set was PAINFUL. Karen cut me on 3 different fingers and mocked me for complaining. I supposed beggers can't be choosers during COVID. The shape I asked for coffin she gave me square. Such a disaster. Don't bother going there if you want quality work!
Ive been here before many of times, but not as much during the pandemic. But my kiddo wanted their nails done for pride, so I went to the one place I usually go. First, this place stopped having their prices visible, which is already a lack of transparency. They are cash only. They also have multiple people work on your nails, to justify a larger tip at the end. The amount of people who "served" me for my set was mentioned at check out. I dont need 3 different people working on my pedi and mani. Also at the end when I was trying to figure out how much I wanted to give for a tip, the owner started to get into a weird back and forth with me, showing me numbers on a calculator, as if I cant count. I was just trying to make sure I didnt leave a large amount, given how we were treated. To that. All me and my kiddo wanted was a simple rainbow design for pride on just 2 of our fingers. I asked prior to sitting down, if they can do a rainbow design. As well as asked if they do stiletto nails for my kiddo. Picture shown and everything. They said yes. Of course. When it came to our rainbow lines. The whole saloon seemed to have an attitude when I wanted 6 lines, you know like the rainbow! Even though Im paying for it. So I only ended up getting 5 lines. Because when I asked for a purple line, they said "It dont matter" and thus, no purple. I own that I could have said nevermind then, but my kid was there and I didn't want a scene to occur. My kiddo's nails were worse than mine. I couldnt see what they were doing until they were done. The nails first off, were nowhere near anyone's stiletto, and they did not go to the bottom of their finger. They already looked a week old. And even though they just used at least 5 rainbow colors on my hand, they for some reason, did not use the colors on my kiddo, although he wanted the same. They did a random color heart design, including the color white, which is not even a rainbow color. And the white was faded and not fully colored in. Oh, they have a no refund policy of course. And my kiddo who has anxiety did not fully show me the faded white heart, and say it wasnt what they wanted until we left the store. Now, folks may be like, why did you not check your nails before you left. Why do such a poor job is the question?! If they cant do hand designs or have limits to how many colors one can use apparently, even if paying for it, they can be honest and say that. Or if you have feelings about painting rainbows for pride, just refuse and people can go else where. Will not be returning. Did not feel Black or LGBTQ friendly. Photo of what we showed the salon and what we got. Luckily, I found another honest salon. Luckily I found another salon.

I paid $115 for a French tip manicure and pedicure, and I left very disappointed. The white tips weren't done by hand she used plastic tips instead of actually painting them, which takes way less time and skill. I asked multiple times why it was the same price as a real hand-painted French tip, and she just kept saying, "I'm not cheating you," but wouldn't really give me a straight answer. The gel on my toes was touching my skin, and I had to ask her to clean it up and reshape them. I also originally wanted a pink base for my toes, but she didn't have it, so I ended up settling for something else I didn't like. For that price, I expected quality work not shortcuts. It's not right to charge the same for something quick and basic as you would for detailed, hand-done nail art. I left feeling taken advantage of and I won't be going back. read more

I decided to drop in and try out this new nail salon. I was greeted by a warm hello from all the ladies here. Cherry was my nail tech and she is so sweet and lovely to chat with. She gave me some great tips on how to take care of my nails because they are so weak and brittle. I got the gel manicure. I'm a nail snob and I have to say she did an excellent job. My nails are beautiful! They have a large selection (not overwhelming) of nail polish and is very clean and well kept. I'm glad I got to try out this place. I will definitely be back and Cherry will be my go to girl. read more

I dropped in for a pedicure this afternoon. I almost went down the street to a salon I'd been to once or twice, but i did a quick yelp check and Pearl had better ratings, so I gave them a shot. Glad I did. After I picked a color, they had me in a chair right away. They let me soak and enjoy the massage chair for a few minutes, then gave me the menu to check which service I wanted. I chose the most basic pedicure service, but they suggested I try the next (+$5) one up. Why not? Respect the hustle. And it was a good choice, a little extra scrub and a nice massage. The best part was a steamy hot towel wrap around both legs that she left on until they juuusst started to cool off. Perfect. As for my toenails, she did a thorough job on my feet, but still very gentle. It was relaxing, no sharp out of place snips to jolt me out of my daze. And I know how good you have to be to take my post-sandals-every-day-vacation-wait-who-am-I-kidding-totally-neglected-feet and make them look this presentable while I actually nod off. I'll be back for another transformative nap. read more

I've been here a few times and I like the women that work here. I had a mani/pedi and although the massage and nail shaping was good, the nail polish has been bad every time. It may be the nail polish products that they use - not sure. I think using a brand like OPI or a higher quality nail polish might work better. The picture below is ONE DAY after I got the manicure. Not sure if they put it on too thick or too fast (without letting it dry enough) or it's the quality of the polish. I sat with my fingers over a drying fan for 20 minutes while they finished my toes and then ANOTHER 20 minutes while my toes dried and the polish still sagged. For the price, I'd go somewhere else. read more
