I really have to give it up to Victoria for doing a great job on my nails! It has been a journey trying to find a nail salon in natomas that has gel x nails AND has someone who knows how to do them properly. I called on a Sunday, was able to get in around 1pm. Things I liked: there were customers already here! I've visited some salons in natomas that were completely empty, and that's definitely a red flag! It was easy to see that she had done gel x before, as she knew how to prepare the nails and put them on. She also did a great job with the black French tip AND spider web I asked for. Some things to keep in mind: They are cash only. Definitely prefer to be able to use my card and tip in cash. Luckily I already has cash but they do have an atm in the salon, and there is also a credit union in the same shopping area. She did ask a coworker to help her with putting my gelx nails on. I do love that she asked for help, but it does show that she is still somewhat new at doing a full gelx set...so keep that in mind. But the price, $65 was so reasonable! If you are in the area, have a bit of patience, then you should definitely see Victoria for gelx! read more

I think I have found my new nail place! I visited for the first time today on a whim. I haven't gotten my nails done since 2020. I do them myself with gel polish and acrylic tips but lately with my hectic lifestyle I don't seem to be getting a full two weeks like I normally do so I went to this place to get them done. They got me in right away (on a Sunday! Which was amazing! Especially with the great reviews that they have) Lori was fantastic! Everyone was very friendly. I had a picture of what I wanted that was pretty detailed with some valentine hearts design and she did it identical to the pic taking the time to make it just perfect and made sure that I liked it as well-it's beautiful! I came here for a pedicure after my regular salon couldn't fit me in--I needed my toes done for my son's wedding! I called Pearl Imaging Nails right before closing time, and they were kind enough to take me in as they were wrapping up for the day. I came in to Pearl Image Nails on a whim, on a Saturday morning. No appointment, just a desire for cleaned up hands! I walked in and everyone was very busy, but they someone asked if I had an appointment, no - wondering if they had a slot for walk-ins. One person said their appointment might not show up so to wait a few minutes to be sure then they'd get me in. The appointment showed up, dangit for me but it's a good sign that the patrons show back up! So he asked someone else about their schedule and said they could get me in if I waited about 15-20 mins. I said that's great! I swear it was only 10 minutes later and she had me in a chair ready for my mani! She worked meticulous and fast. Everything looked very clean and the interior smelled wonderful. Went here based off the good reviews they do have... short and simple it was a mistake. They are rushing and don't take all your previous polish off so you later find it on your nails once you leave. I got a fill....the lady broke away a few old pieces and left the rest making it look like dirt on your nails... this is the dirtiest feeling/looking set of French tips I have ever had. French tips are supposed to look and make you feel clean...these do the opposite. I was still polite and tipped the lady as she did in fact do my nails, however with this sloppy mess for $50...I dont think I will be back. She didn't even put a clear coat over my jewels that other places always do because otherwise they are rough and catch in your hair. When I was looking around as I was finishing getting my nails done there were 3 different women getting pedicures and not a single one had a mask on! Even though it clearly states no service without a mask.... so I question how sanitary and clean this place was after I had already made the decision to get my nails done there. read more

My first time at Pearl Image Nails was Sunday 2/5/23. It wasn't crazy busy, but it was steady. We had appointments for 3 pedicures and 2 fills. They were super flexible because the two fills turned into new sets, and I ended up getting a manicure after all. I haven't had my nails or toes done at a salon in maybe four years. It was a great place to return to the mani/pedi world. Each employee was attentive and kind. My pedicure was the regular option at $30. The "usual" pedi with hot towel and foot/lower leg rub. My technician was great -- thorough and caring! There were other options -- had a menu of options. I saw one customer get a hot stone massage with her pedicure. My regular manicure went well, too. Regular manicure was $20. I got a nice hand and arm rub. I was very relaxed. The atmosphere was great. Happy employees and customers. It was great! I will return. read more

Pedicure is 5 star!! Seriously, they took us right away and did one of the best pedicures...until I got an infection! The dips...are terrible. Maybe the language barrier can account for the fact she put layers of clear dip on my nails the covered it with gel polish. But there's no excuse for the shape...she never did it...some nails are thick, some are flat, one doesn't even have any dip! In all fairness, I did tell them if I have to pay for it-I'll be posting it. Susan and Jeri were skilled, very nice, and even apologetic but unfortunately I would avoid the shop entirely. I'm not the person to complain, especially at the spot, I'll just never come back. First of all I was having my pedicure being some and while sitting in a chair another worker came by and started working on my manicure simultaneously, which made it very uncomfortable and obviously she could do or didn't care to do a very careful job. Second, the cleaning part for both, feet and hand was done poorly. The nail polish had run onto my cuticles, something very obvious to a nail technician eye, but none of them cared to clean it and just but the lamp over my nails, securing the gel. It was clear they didn't give a crap about the runs. Anyway, it was not a good experience. I felt kind of disregarded, like they tried to get me out the door ASAP and I finally was able to take some time off my full time job plus 7 month old baby to go get my nails done lol read more

Update: came in today for a fill, and let me tell y'all Vanessa is AMAZING!! She really knows what she's doing and the shape, size, color everything was PERFECT!!! She even remembered me and my type of style and color preferences, my new fave nail place Got a mani pedi on Saturday. Regular pedi, $25. She was an older lady with glasses and short hair. She spent her time really making sure the paint was even and clean (esp since it wasn't gel like I normally get) and that all my toe nails were shaped evenly. She also noticed my ankle was hurting and made sure to massage that area gently. I didn't even say a word and she noticed all these little things. I also got a full set, little almond shape done by Michael(?) I believe. He has a tattoo on his left arm. Absolutely amazing, spent his time really shaping the nails to make sure they were even and shaped perfectly. Even trimmed my cuticle, even got rid of the excess nail on the bottom, (I hate when manicurists don't do that) He really listened to exactly what I wanted, I told them I type a lot at work so they can't be too long and he made them the perfect length for me. Came here while waiting for my sister's delayed flight. They assisted me right away as a walk in. I asked for a gel manicure and was appointed to Katie as my manicurist. She mended a broken nail I had, shaped my nails into a squared shape as requested. (Normally when I go to a nail salon and request a square shape I they shape my nails square with rounded corners -which I hate) Not the case this time. After enjoying a massage next door, I stepped into this nail salon to inquire about prices. I simply wanted a color change for my gel nails, not a full manicure. The woman gave me a quote and said she could do my nails immediately, so I jumped at the chance and sat down. I should have looked at her face when she was talking to me, but I was too busy checking out the polishes. As I sat down to wait for her, she disappeared for a few minutes. When she came back she looked at my nails as if I had killed her dog. I am not sure if she was having a terrible day, terrible week, or terrible life, but the Sour Puss that sat in front of me and grunted was one of the most unpleasant humans I have encountered. My rule of thumb is that if the service is good, or the quality is high, small things like a grumpy person or dirty floor do not affect my experience. Unfortunately, not only did I get the most disgruntled person in the entire place, but unbelievably terrible service. So, to the woman who applied the gel polish very badly on my nails, I am so truly sorry that I walked in and offered you money to help me. I apologize that I forced you to take 20 minutes and apply coats of polish on my nails, as a favor. Again, so sorry that I gave you a tip for the sloppy, crappy job you did. Gosh I must have been a real pain in the ass expecting the basic three coats of polish, and of course I understand why you did not finish my nails. Sarcasm at its finest. In truth I was so stunned and it happened so quickly that I didn't even ask for what I had paid for. I simply turned around and left. This was not the most expensive nail place nor the least. I have paid less for way better. The color is fine. The salon is pretty nice. It's fairly clean, but could use a good dusting. The massage chairs look amazing, unfortunately I will never be back. Given, I was lucky enough to sit down in front of Miss grumpy pants, I still thought - what the heck, I want to get my nails done. She did not prepare my nails like normal for the gel system. She did not apply all the coats and have them cure properly & there was no topcoat whatsoever. Please note: Getting my nails done is not a luxury I allow myself often, so when I do it's a treat.
