Her tone was very off putting. I let her know I needed hemming on 2 pieces of workout wear and then she said it would cost $35 each! That is insane to me. I understand prices go up but $35 to hem pant legs is absolutely ridiculous to me. I can understand if it's multiple layers to hem but wow. Anyway, I was disappointed to say the least but I guess with her attitude of not wanting to help me in the first place, it worked out because I left. I will be going elsewhere for any future dry cleaning needs and/or hemming services.

The staff is always welcoming and friendly, the turnaround time is reliable, and their prices are very fair. They've sewn buttons on pants and shirts, hemmed pants, and even altered my daughter's prom dress, which turned out absolutely perfect. Definitely the best dry cleaners in the area with great pricing. Highly recommend!

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!!!!!! Tony and Mary a full of crap…read more Tony has avoided me for a month. Mary has stalled and covered for him. She is a liar!!! I took in a custom made linen suit to them to be DRY CLEANED for my son's wedding in Hawaii. I did not try the suit on until the day of the wedding. WOW!!! They shrank my suit. The jacket no longer fits at all. The sleeves are two inches above my wrists, the shoulders are super tight, the bottom of the jacket sits above my waist and beltline. I can non longer button up at all. The trousers are tight like leggings. The pant legs are an inch above my ankles. The crotch gives me moose knuckle print. I can barley button up the trousers. The suit fit prior to taking it to them. Plus i have lost fifteen pound since I had it made. Mary has lied to me and stalled for month. she said she would call me back every week. She has never called me. I had to show up with my wife to get Mary to address the issue. Mary told my wife they would reimburse me. The day we arrive for reimbursement, Mary said they would not compensate me for the damages. She tried say the suit was four years old. I have worn it four times. It fit the day I dropped it off. Mary told my wife Tony washed the linen suit instead of dry cleaning it. She stated he was new to the business and was learning. She then stated he refused to listen to her about how to clean it. Regardless, THEY RUINED MY CUSTOM SUIT AND REFUSE TO TAKE ACCUOTABILITY!!!! We have gone to this location for years before they took it over. I tried to be loyal to them. Especially since the are black. I support black owned businesses. But, this is too much. The place has gone down hill since they took over. They have avoided me for a month and refuse to take accountability for their mistakes. They are unprofessional and unworthy to be in business. SO, I ENCOURAGE YOU ALL TO SEEK ELSEWHERE. I stopped by Mom & Pop's on Decatur to have a few items altered: a lined tulle skirt, a jumpsuit,…read moreand two pairs of pants (one just needed a new closure). While looking at the skirt and jumpsuit, the employee repeatedly commented that they were "so wide" and had "a lot of material." She then told me the alterations would be $80 for the skirt and $65 for the jumpsuit. I was surprised because the tulle only needed to be cut along with a slight hem on the lining. I was expecting a professional hem, not an unusually expensive alteration. I mentioned that the prices seemed high, so I decided to skip those items and asked about replacing the closure on one pair of pants instead. That's when she told me the seamstress wouldn't be there until Monday. I asked, "You're not the seamstress?" She said no. That left me wondering how she was able to quote exact prices for the other alterations if the person actually doing the work wasn't there. The interaction left me feeling confused and uncomfortable, and I decided to take my business elsewhere.

I have been coming to this cleaners since 2019. I personally have spent thousands of dollars here…read more I have ALWAYS gave them a 5 star on Yelp and Google. Unfortunately this is the last time We will EVER use their services. My daughter's brand new dress that still had the tags on it and NEVER worn and cost $159.99 before tax was ruined. Dropped the dress of to be cleaned after the fitting from the amazing #1 tailor Europin Tailor Alteration & Bridal Sewing & Alteration * The Lakes, Las Vegas. This dress was the last one in my daughter's size and the color. The dress is for a wedding that is on 3/30/2024. So there is no time to even replace nor repair anything. The owner greeted me when I came to pick up my daughter's dress. As I said I have been coming for years. He even asked me to leave another review because his stars are higher than the other Mom and Pops location. My daughter and I returned back to the cleaners after seeing this burn mark. We are told there is nothing that they will do except a store credit for the dress amount. Which is NOT what we expected to hear. We asked for the owner to come in and discuss this with us. Unfortunately he refused. He had the manager on duty to relay all his messages. Keep in mind him and I were just having a nice conversation when I picked up the dress. They have you sign a store policy about removing stains and marks on items. Saying they are not responsible for any damage connected to the removal of them. They removed the oil stains that got on the silk fabric during the fitting of the dress. However, they created a burn mark in a whole different area of the dress. Only offering to give a store cleaning credit for the dress cost. All this is COMPLETELY unacceptable. To have the owner stand in my face and NOT say one word about the new damage of the dress that they caused. Neither have their manager on duty either say anything. Then to have his laugh and talk with me and ask me to leave a review as I always do for him. Is crazy !!! They have received thousands of dollars from me from repeated visits and I have sent people to this location. I ALWAYS give 5 star reviews on behalf of the owner and this business location. Just to have him treat me/us like nobody's and NOT refund the cost of the dress that they COMPLETELY RUINED !! I have sent this review to BBB and made a complaint with them as well. For this is HIGHLY UNACCEPTABLE! I HIGHLY DO NOT recommend coming to this Mom and Pop location for your next cleaning. There is another cleaners up the road that is your best option.
