I don't understand why it's called Shield Storage when you pay and then have to dig to find an address and it's called Keep It Self Storage. I've attempted to pay my monthly fee multiple times and the payment doesn't go through so then I get charged a late fee that they refuse to reverse. Not to mention the fact that they didn't address my property being damaged from another tenant and there was zero follow up. I'm highly disappointed and displeased with this place. Do not rent here.

They were recently bought out by some other outfit, Shield Storage. Since then, their prices have steadily climbed and climbed. I just received ANOTHER letter of rent increase. What started at $110 is now costing me $163 per month. The increases are now happening multiple times per year. This is not a local business. It is not a family business. If they offer you an introductory rate, you're going to get locked in to a much higher rate later. They are going to squeeze you until, finally, the price increases are greater than the hassle of moving your belongings elsewhere. Self storage is often a pretty scummy market. This place WAS okay, and now they're no different than any other corporate storage outfit.

I'm so…read moreimpressed with the customer service and facility of Leave It to Us Self Storage (LITUSS) which is why I'm writing a review. Moving is very stressful but when you work with a company that cares it makes a huge difference! I was moving my Mom from Marysville to Shingle Springs where I live and work so we did a one way truck rental with it being dropped off at LITUSS since she had rented a storage unit there. This involved two loads/trips because the largest truck I could get down my driveway was 15' and my Mom had more things than we predicted. It was a long tiring day and when it came time to drop the first load off at LITUSS I realized I was a little confused about the app since it was new and I also had a billing question so I called LITUSS at almost 5pm on a Saturday. Molly answered the phone and to summarize, she helped with all my questions and made sure that all our questions were answered and if there was any issue she wanted to know so she could fix it. We didn't get done and back to storage with the 2nd load until almost 130am which I didn't check ahead about access hours so we couldn't get in. The Uhaul was due back at 8am but we wouldnt have it unloaded and dropped off until 10AM. I called Molly at 7AM on a Sunday and again, she answered. I was overwhelmed and concerned about the consequences for being late and she made me feel so much better by listening and caring and letting me bring the truck back by 10am. If you need storage please use LITUSS. The facility and units are beautiful and so clean! Even the floors of the unit are so clean that you don't need to lay down any covering to protect your items. Not to mention if you end up wanting to sell some of them they offer a "garage/yard sale" type option right there at the facility. Oh, and their prices are the best in the area especially for what you get. Their Noke security system for entry/exit is so impressive and all done on an app. This may be the longest review I've ever written but my hope is people read it and use LITTUS for their storage needs as they will be absolutely taken care of and the value of service/facility far exceeds the more than fair cost. Customer service has great room for improvement. - My 1st time arriving my access code didn't work, staff were on lunch and I waited around for 45 mins with 2 trucks full of movers and items. They have an app for remote gate access but staff on site have no idea how it works and can't troubleshoot issues. Prices went up $60/mo! - The deal started out as 1/2 off for 3 months, went to normal billing for 3 months, and now it's an extra $60/month?! Their competition around the corner is now $100 less per month and they were unwilling to retain my business by offering a lower rate. Byeeee!
