I needed my eyes dilated and checked for family history of glaucoma. Dr. Pearce was very caring and thorough with his eye exam. I spent thirty minutes being examined by the doctor. I tried to explain and show them she has 2 healing broken knee caps, recently operated on. She has braces on both legs from her hip to her ankles. It was more difficult to get her in the car than expected, cause she's been having trouble walking the last couple days and is in a lot of pain. Most doctors offices have at least a 5 minute leeway. I'll bet even if we were there on time we'd have had to wait 20 minutes or so to be seen. This is the worst place and most inconsiderate office I have ever been to. I give them a zero on a 1-10

Up selling is another thing. Not everyone has a budget for the premiums. Not everyone fits their 3 options. If I cover one eye and test them this is what I see. I see extremely well out of my left eye. Switching eyes: My right eye is fuzzy and a tea color vision. I use readers to see up close for 25 years. I see great at a distance. I feel I only needed cataract surgery only on the right eye. But seeing that was not even an option nor did they strongly encourage a great out come even if I did both eyes with a premium lens in the right eye and the regular Medicare lens in the left. I just decided to go to another facility.

My insurance covered $480. They apparently sent the money to Newsome instead of sending it to me directly. After only 2 calls It took Newsome 9 weeks to reimburse me my $480. It's not a lot of money but that's not right. Imagine 1000 patients at $480, close to 1/2 million making interest for him.

From my first contact on the phone to the greeting I received when we walked in I was made to feel like a valued patient. The exam I received from Dr Parrish was by far the most thorough eye exam I've ever had. Using modern diagnostic equipment and technology Dr Parrish recommended a change to my contact prescription and took lots of time explaining his thought process. I've been wearing contacts for 30 years and I've not had the explanations I got today. Belinda discussed pricing with me then fitted me with the new lens. All in a. A five star experience.
