Very nice place where several presidents like Ronald Reagan, George and Laura Bush and Jimmy and Roslyn Carter have visited and stayed. The dinner and breakfast that was served was top notch. Great tasting food with really good service along with a full bar. The rooms were very nice. Large rooms nicely furnished BUT their mattresses need to be replaced in my opinion. Just a suggestion since the rest of this fantastic lodge is awesome.

The lodge is very remote and we took Jerry's Rogue Jet Boats on the 104-mile package to get there. There are no roads to get to Paradise Lodge and it's either a jet boat, hike in, or helicopter. The jet boat definitely adds to the entire experience. On route we saw bald eagles, a seal sunning on a rock, osprey, etc. You get a lot of refreshing splashes on the way too. The ride cost $95/per person, but it was worth every penny (it's a long ride to Paradise Lodge!) The lodge was rustic, but very comfortable. Every cabin has its own bathroom with a hot shower. There is no air conditioning or fans, but somehow even though we were there during a 100 degree + heat wave the cabins stayed fairly cool during the day and definitely cooled down during the evening. Service is outstanding. Six people work there and attend to your every need. The food is awesome for the property being so remote. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included and they don't mess around. For example, one breakfast consisted of eggs, bacon, French toast, biscuits and gravy, coffee and juice. You will never be hungry at the lodge. They also have wine and beer available. Speaking of service, it was so hot during our stay that the owner invited us to join him wearing life vests, hike a bit upstream,. and float down the Rogue River back to the lodge. It was a highlight of the the trip for our kids and one son took the trek with my husband and other guests four times! Wonderful memories. We will return! Jet Boat TIP: On our return the jet boat makes a 1 1/2 hour stop at Singing Springs Resort in Agness. We had a very mediocre buffet meal consisting of wilted vegetables, odd biscuits and fried chicken, etc. and it was roughly $60 for the four of us. Skip their lunch or very selectively order a few items off of the menu. The buffet was expensive and bad.

I normally stay at IHG Holiday Inn Express locations when I travel as I'm a platinum rewards member and get points for future stays and free room upgrades. This location was easy enough to find with GPS, but other wise just go south on Center Drive and when you see the Walmart on the right, turn left and go down the little street to the hotel. Plenty of parking available. We arrived a little too early and the rooms weren't ready yet, official check in is 3 pm, but we thought we might get in early, so we waited over at the Starbucks right near the hotel. I get a call the rooms are ready, so the front desk is on the ball! As the crew unloads all our stuff out of the big rental SUV, I do the check in and it all goes smooth. We get our keys and go to our rooms. My room was clean and nice and the first thing I check is the WiFi. It's working fine and I can get work done. The connection is fast enough to stream Netlix or whatever, but I gotta work so no time to stream stuff! The rest of the room is clean and the bathroom is fine and everything works and no stray hairs that weren't my color! The coffee maker worked fine as well. Breakfast is included n the mornings and it was hot and tasty as usual and the selection was just about the same as all the Holiday Inn Express locations. Hot choices as well as breads to toast and cereal if you want that. This is a good location of the Holiday Inn Expresses and I'd stay here again. None of my crew had any complaints either.

Mixed, sub par compared to other Fairfield properties…read more Positives: 1. Breakfast quiche cups. So frickin' good. And a good variety of condiments. 2. Ample parking lot, conveniently next to a Shell station. 3. Shower: strong water pressure, shower head spray options. Areas of improvement: 1. No bedside end table, there's plenty of space for one. As a result, you need to share a tiny middle table between the beds which is largely occupied by the phone and clock. 2. The USB A charging ports on the center table didn't work. 3. Door deadbolt remains extracted when you exit, so you need to manually toggle it from the inside. 4. One very bright light over center table so if one person doesn't want it, too bad. And the two over the bed lights don't work if you toggle off one of the bathroom light switches. 5. No cotton ear swabs, bad hair dryer. 6. Security door to the parking lot only sporadically latches. 6. Refrigerator and AC are loud...noise from people walking in room above ours was VERY loud. When in Medford it's Marriott Springhill all the way.

Maggie was so sweet and helpful. I had questions regarding our upcoming stay and she ensured that our concerns were addressed. She really is top-notch!! Our family of 4 couldn't have been happier with this hotel and it's central location. I'm just sad I only booked one night.
